1. Alright, I just found out that you can right click the RAW button on the github page and the files can be saved anywhere. That means it will be pretty easy to install the script for generating bash tags and using it. Directions would be: Go to this link: https://github.com/fireundubh/xEditScripts/blob/master/Scripts/Generate%20Bash%20Tags.pas Right click the [RAW] button and select "Save link as..." Navigate to the xEdit\Edit Scripts folder and save it there. Make sure that "Save as type" is .pas Open xEdit, select None, tick only the plugin to add tags for and click [OK] Right click plugin, apply script, select Generate Bash Tags, click [OK] Click yes to add tags to header rinse repeat1-3 are for installation the script and 4-7 are for the applying it. I think it would be pretty easy to implement in the guide, but the amount of times it may need to be run is a bit ridiculous. Then again the entire guide is pretty ridiculous. Sure.
2. What would an immortal pet of a daedra care about crime? I think if anything he'd like it.
3. That's a mistake on my part. I'll have to add that in. You'll click both the ADAM and SRB plugins.
4. The metal mesh on the sleeves are better too. Hard to see unless you're in game though. There is more of a 3D look to them.
5. Turn UseEffect back on first, then turn all the effects in the next section off. Then turn on one by one until you find the one that messes up transparency.
6. I think you can turn the [Global] UseEffect off and that will turn off everything. Then see if works for the transparency.
7. Are we not able to report bugs anymore? I couldn't make a new issue right now. Is there going to be a USLP only issue tracker coming or something?
8. Well, you might turn off all the ENB effects in the enbseries.ini and see if it persists. That way you can see if it's from ENB effects being turned on or not. Then start turning them on one by one until it happens again.
9. Open enblocal.ini and make sure FixTransparencyBugs is set to false.
10. Skyrim's limit is 255 so it isn't that big a deal. It's nice to keep that number down, but once your reaching that mark stability can be a nightmare. Fallout on the other hand is limited to about 135. The merge script and bashed patching is the only thing that saved us from having guides half their current size.
11. Discussion thread: NARC - No Animals Report Crimes by Pharros Wiki Link Dropped in v3.0. USKP incorporated some of what this mod does, but I think it's still a great idea for a mod that should be in STEP. It disallows many creatures from reporting crimes, such as Slaughterfish or Hagravens. Here's a list with the USKP inclusions in Yellow taken from the mod page: Draugr Falmer Spider Daedra Skeleton Predator Prey Dragon Skeever Chaurus Hagraven Spriggan Wisp Wolf Slaughterfish Werewolf Dog Dremora Dwarven Automaton Giant Mammoth Goat Horker Ice Wraith Troll Sabre Cat Flame Atronach Frost Atronach Storm Atronach Farm Animals Player Horses Frost (Unique Horse) Arvak (Unique Horse) Shadowmere (Unique Horse) Forsworn Ghosts Subjugated Ghosts Pet animals Deer Housecarl Hare Thrall Chicken Spouse (true loyalty) Bear Dragon Priest Dawnguard: Gargoyle Gargoyle Brute Gargoyle Sentinel Skeleton Draugr Hireable Dog Dragonborn: Ash Spawn Ash Guardian Explosive Spider Tamed Dragon Netch Riekling Dremora Merchant Werebear Seeker Wyrm I didn't realize that ghosts cared about you stealing their food.
12. What about Not So Fast? I thought that mod was accepted, we were just debating Core or Extended. EDIT: Wait, I'm seeing it without a testing tag in one place and without it in another. Weird.
13. Any time you have a mod that needs to be generated like Dual Sheath Redux, DynDOLOD, or FNIS, you'll need a separate installation of that mod for each profile. If you have a core profile then you need a Core DDL since it uses your entire load order to make the dynamic LODs.
14. Write bash users don't need it since the bashed patcher does all necessary conflict merging for ILO.
15. Reference. Some I would recommend, but from using them in my current play through there are some I'd change.
16. There are quite a few mods in STEP, especially Extended, that make use of the MCM. Since a few more will be added to the next update it would be a good idea to start making recommended settings for those mods. Some mods have MCMs that will need reviewed: Auto Unequip AmmoBFS EffectsCome TogetherComplete CraftingConvenient HorsesDeadly Spell ImpactsDual Sheath ReduxDual Wield ParryingDynDOLOD - No changes neededEnhanced BloodFactions - No changes neededFootprintsImmersive HUDLanterns of Skyrim - Already have recommended settingsLock Overhaul - Already have recommended settingsMinty's LightningNot So Fast - last update changed default settings to something that might not need adjusting for STEPSkyUIThieves Guild RequirementsTiming is Everything - Lots of different quests to discuss for this oneTrade and Barter - Already recommend not turning it on, but that might need a reviewWet & ColdWonders of Weather Mods in testing that will need settings:ESF: Requirements Only - A lot like Thieves Guild Requirements Below are screenshots of the default settings for each mod. Color Code: Light Grey - settings yet to be determined Green - settings finalized Orange - settings finalized, no change from defaults Strike Out - MCM template has been integrated into mod page with determined settings All information has been moved to the wiki page here: https://wiki.step-project.com/Project:MCM_Recommendations Currently the page is still in development so bare with us until we get it completed.
17. Hey kryp, are you planning to do an update to any mods or just wait till the new USLP comes in November?
18. No, SP didn't tell me he took it down. I'll post the link in a minute. EDIT: Try it now. I posted a Copy.com link for the mod.
19. No, you don't have to do that. The fixes in both are the same, so it won't matter if you leave the old merged fixes. Remerging probably won't do anything either since the merged fixes aren't unique formIDs.
20. If you are using MO, then you need to install the scripts in MO again.
21. Timing is Everything is the only one I know of with FISS support. It has tons of options though, so it needs it.
22. Won't they have to ditch or update the nif format to get PBR to work? I was under the impression that nif models were getting outdated versus other formats.
