  1. When it rains.... I swear I get sick every time uskp is going to update. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk Karma.
  2. Here's my warnings after updating to the BETA version: Move Unofficial Skyrim Patch before SkyUIMove Unofficial Dawnguard Patch before SkyUIMove Unofficial Hearthfire Patch before SkyUIMove Unofficial Dragonborn Patch before SkyUIMove Ars Metallica - Smithing Enhancement before SkyUIMove Traps Make Noise - Follower Safety Patch before SkyUISkyUI wasn't even listed before I updated and now I'm supposed to move 4 mods before SkyUI that are already before it. Maybe the detection for this is a touch off.
  3. You can also leave that BSA packed so the amb textures for IA overwrite nicely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Of course I don't look, they are my screens. :P But, to be safe you should have another look at them... maybe your eyes are playing tricks on you or maybe I should drink less.
  5. With mod organizer you can check the BSA in he archives tab and get rid of the dummy plugin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Try the BETA version of the Thieves Guild Requirements. Make sure to not use the EBQO patch for that mod.
  7. I think even if we keep MM Shrines in Core that Ren's could overwrite and the there are few normal maps that will get used from MM Shrines. Could add it Extended, but we should probably figure out exactly what Extended is going to become first.
  8. Looks ambitious. This is the kind of pack I would use. I don't have time to test all the STEP stuff and find new mods for  my own playthrough so this sounds good to me. I've been wanting to update a few towns, there is also a new Winterhold mod out, Qaxes Winterhold Rebuild.
  9. MO allows you to choose the directory to extract to. If you do it to your mod folder then hit the refresh button next to the profile bar to bring up the new mod. Then right click->open with explorer.
  10. I thought it was with the HRDLC too, but then I extracted them with BSAopt and and copied them over to my vanilla extracted and there was still ~10K files and ~200 folders missing. I think the problem is in the LODs, somehow many of them get skipped. Also, MO is way faster than BSAopt at extraction, but a couple minutes on the bigger BSAs.
  11. You will need a patch to get it work with Clothing & Clutter Fixes. I think one is in the works, but be aware of it.
  12. I actually think that the MO BSA extraction might have an issue, unless it somehow detects redundant files or errors and refrains from extracting them. I could not find anything like that in the MO documentation, so some MO person will have to confirm. After seeing how many files and folders were in my vanilla extracted folder after running the HRDLC Clean bat file, I was missing about 20K files and hundreds of folders. EDIT: What compression level is safe to use with BSAopt to repack stuff? I thought using level 10 was to high.
  13. Make sure you aren't using multiple forms of AF or or vsync or FPS limiters. I had a problem where I didn't realize that I AF on in enblocal.ini and had it on in Nvidia Inspector. Not only did it hurt performance, but I don't think AF was even working right. Check that all the settings for certain things are in one place. Don't have them on in mutiple places and check Skyrim's INI, ENB's INIs, and nvidia Inspector.
  14. You need to use the Optimus Fix for ENB to work correctly. Go to Skyrim directory, rename the d3d9.dll to d3d9orig.dll. Then get the Optimus fix from the nexus and extract the d3d9.dll to the skyrim directory and then run Skyrim. ENB turns off your GPU if you have an Nvidia Laptop gpu, so you have low framerate due to running on intel graphics.
  15. Has anyone reported issues with the BSA extraction built into MO? I just ran the latest bat files and it said I was missing some HRDLC files. I'm thinking the MO extraction might have a few hiccups. I'll use BSAopt and check to see.
  16. Improved Closefaced Helmets_Legendary.esp doesn't include those two options. I think STEP is still recommending at least the imp_helm_imp.esp file, or has that changed? The only two records different in the imp_helm_imp.esp and the Improved Closefaced Helmets_Legendary.esp had a couple BOD2 lines that conflicted. I was thinking that because the LE plugin still covers those helmets that only the meshes were needed from the optional file and it would keep the BOD2 changes from the main mod. I'm not even sure what that that record subtype does.
  17. So I did some digging into SRO and HRDLC with The Compressonator's comparison tool and found a ton of identical files. I'm thinking that a lot of those files were probably left there because Starac was going to work on them and decided against it, but forgot to delete them. Anyways, it creates a situation where there are HRDLC textures that may be overwriting textures from other mods ahead of it from Serious HD or something like that. I've included a couple spreadsheets that show the comparison for the SRO 1k with HRDLC and the SRO 2k with HRDLC since I have both from the old days. None of these are optimized either. HRDLC-SROCompares.7z
  18. Get rid of imp_helm_imp.esp and imp_guard_helm.esp since the latest Improved Closefaced Helmets_Legendary.esp covers everything needed for STEP. Then everything else is good.
  19. With those laptop cards you have to try different things to get the best results. I believe that the 500M series might be the first generation of Optimus GPUs from Nvidia and they use a lot of new technology that desktop GPUs do not have. For me on a 650M the Skyrim default vsync works best with the Nvidia Inspector FPS limiter. Play around with the settings a bit. Skyrim's vsync is in SkyrimPrefs.ini, line iPresentInterval= 1 is on and 0 is off.Â
  20. Yeah, I could only tell the difference on one compare between HRDLC and Shrines HD. The textures look different in a texture viewer, but in game I just can't see it. Why use 2K textures of something so small when you can't even see the difference? I don't know if you would even miss it unless you had a high resolution monitor. I think some of Ren's could go for Core. Diabella, Mara, Stendarr, Talos, maybe Julianos, but overall it is a bit of a departure from vanilla in style since the vanilla ones were just purple sculptures. IDK, is there a, 'vanilla sucked so bad we made an exception' rule?
  21. Alternate Crafting System (by BralorMarr) Adds in a way to temper and craft stuff, by.... wait for it.... purchasing the services of a smith. You'd think it was something that was supposed to already be in the game. Anyways, this has been done before by mods like EoS, but this one uses a nice MCM menu and has a few other nice features. Requires SKSE and SkyUI and FuzRohD'oh (for silent voice over).
  22. I've included this in the next update for the STEP Patches. From the nexus page: ======================================== PERMISSIONS ======================================== The changes made by this mod are so tiny and inconsequential that I really don't mind what you do with it, but if you make it available after making changes please provide a link to my version of the file on the Nexus and make it clear that the file you're offering isn't all my work. We will have to figure out a nice way to give a shout out to all the authors work that ends up being included our stuff.
  23. I have them packed in BSAs. In fact I have all major mods repacked to save space too. No problems whatsoever with MO 1.1+. You must remember to tick them manually in the archives tab in MO though. If you have the esp clicked then it doesn't matter if you click them in the BSA tab. That tab is for BSAs that are just dummy plugins that only we've to load the BSA. MO can load those BSAs without the plugin of you check in the BSA tab so it saves a plugin slot. 24. Your right about the difference being dependent on screen resolution. Anything 1080 and up will have a more noticeable difference. I'd say with his setup that he'd be okay with 1k exterior and 2k interior textures. Also armor and weapons at 2k if they come that way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
