  1. Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure someone will take a look at it. We need a STEP splash window contest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ssme isn't really meant to be tweaked. I think Queue made it that so people could mess it up. As for the skse.ini thing well, not really sure about that. MO can be fickle sometimes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. You can also go back to the stable skse and try Ssme. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Keep them in the old few section. We did change up few things in the 2.2.7 guide though like aimp getting dropped. Not sure I want to keep updating previous stuff but I'll probably change my mind after my headache goes away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Not the first time that has happened. Last time he disappeared, but then returned months later with updates to some mods and like three new mods for us, so he can rest up if wants too.
  6. Haven't seen SP in a while, not sure he's around. He usually disappears for a couple months at a time and then gets bored and returns with new stuff.
  7. Updated with AOF for reference, I still really like AMB in game, it just fits in with everything, and I gotta say this again. Falkreath just looks amazing. There were actually a couple things AOF did well, but some of the wood looks so dried out that you'd thing the buildings would collapse. Still kinda like the indoor floors from HRDLC with the smaller stones that are smooth, though. I think I may have messed up on the window shots, maybe those are Visible Windows, but I'll have to double check. I'd do another mod mash with these, but I've got a bunch of other stuff I want to get too. We'll see.
  8. Update fixes that type of stuff. Less damage for clutter, but you can still get hurt. Traps are deadly though.
  9. Yes big file is the full mod and the small is an update the author made so you don't have to download the whole mod again. But if you don't have the big one need both. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Ignore the parts in the instructions that say to disable or remove those plugins that are masters. Install those plugins and you will not have any problems using the STEP Patches, remember only use one patch, Extended patch includes everything in the core patch.
  11. I think the main thing people worried about is unknown executables. Not that you are doing anything wrong but the internet is terrible place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Sorry we are about update step and the instructions are for the update. You can install those files that are masters without issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah use the individual plugins, I forgot that STEP Patches is still using the 2.2.7 stuff, but I'm already doing testing for the new update and it uses the legendary plugin. The next STEP release will have no dependencies for those mods.
  14. We've tested just about everything and can't find anything that helps. You are better served with the new memory patch Ssme and enboost. Those show real gains not placebo stuff like those ini tweaks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Just looking through your mod list, you have the Improved Closedfaced Helmets plugins, but you don't need those since you are using the merged Legendary Edition. Remove: imp_helm.espimp_helm_imp.espimp_helm_dawn.espimp_help_dbrn.espimp_guard_helm.espYou have two Skyrim Project Optimization plugins. Use only the .esm and delete the other one. Your Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini are complete crap. You have way to many entries that hurting your game. Mod Organizer has separate ones for every profile so find those in your MO directory and delete them. Then go into documents->my games->Skyrim and find your INIs and delete them. Then start up Skyrim again so the default ones can regenerate. Only use the STEP recommend INI edits. Start with that stuff. If your saves say are missing data don't worry it is only because you removed redundant plugins.
  16. You could use one of those mods like Less intrusive HUD II or Minimal hud and see if there is an option for it, or just move the text lines, four I think, off the screen. I reduce there size by about 25% and move them to the very top left edge. It is pretty good, and the only draw back is that LIHUD II doesn't save settings, but Minimal HUD does with that other mod installed. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48265/?
  17. The problem with every new gen of RAM/VRAM is that access time is growing exponentially. The manufactures have refused to address this as a real issue since demand is capacity driven much more than access time, which they say is addressed by core clock, but that is LIES!!!! Capacity is creating these ridiculous RAM bursting algorithms because of the many layers of DRAM/SDRAM jammed onto every stick of memory.
  18. Dropped because of moderation, and dropped altogether for upcoming STEP 2.2.8 EDIT: I think I figured out this moderation thing finally.
  19. Or he's got a server laying around and thought he might as well use it to play Skyrim :pHaha.... Microsoft servers though, eww.
  20. Adds lots of stuff to the city: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30594/? Adds lots of commerce stuff and buildings: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15776/? Makes city bigger adds lots of stuff: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37874/? You can just search Whiterun and a bunch of stuff comes up. I was already planning to do a big texture comparison of whiterun stuff, so I have been weeding out the mods like these.
  21. RAM/VRAM being combined for use by the entire system is coming. Nvidia's CUDA 6 has it and AMD has been working on it's Fusion stuff for a while. Boris is probably just ahead of the curve. Or he was bored and just added it in there.
  22. What type of style change you want? Fantasy type or just a color change, maybe one that makes it more of a commerce center?
  23. That is weird because the Dawnguard dogs have a companion wheel with full options. Maybe the Skyrim dogs are different.
  24. ELI5: Skyrim's default mem block 1 is 256. The patch changes it to 512. This changes the approach to memory allocation so the engine doesn't go bonkers. The alpha version of SKSE says to set an extra 256MB to their settings because they are still testing stuff and working out how they are going to implement everything. There is a version that does not affect SKSE called SSME, you may have saw it on the Nexus hotfiles the last few days, and it is a compiled version of the same mod. Follow directions for install very carefully.
  25. Enb does much better with shadows but at a higher performance cost. This is also included in RLO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
