That is a good idea. @SRB If you supply a list of mods/authors in the ReadMe, I will add to Nexus description and the STEP Guide as well. So far it is just the two SMIM plugins and that mod still requires install, and the No NPC Greetings mod which no longer needs to be installed. My idea is that it should add more as we move toward 2.2.9, 2.3.0... Overall if we can reduce the time it takes to do STEP by reducing downloads and installs by a significant amount, then I've done my job. I'm still not against putting together a compilation type thing when we get some more people back and I have more time to do that. I'm sure there are more than a few authors that would allow us to pack up their stuff. Guys, like SP and people that don't really mod Skyrim anymore would probably give permission.

SKYRIMLE Skyrim.exe - The Way It Should Have Been by Kahenraz
EssArrBee replied to Kahenraz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
No, that would not make sense, since I can launch Skyrim.exe directly from my game folder. It bombs when launched via MO. Looking at Process Hacker after launching via MO, the Skyrim.exe process loads (with splashscreen) and eventually so do TESV.exe and enbhost.exe, but then all three turn red, quit, MO % rapidly goes to 100%, and that's it. Again, can anyone confirm that this runs via MO? If this does not work for everyone, then we cannot use it in STEP. If I am doing something wrong or if I am missing a crucial step, I am not aware of it. I added Skyrim.exe as an MO executable just as I did for many other programs that I launch from MO (like WB). I leave MO running in the config options when launching the process via MO, but I have MO running when I launch directly too. I really have no clue, I've tried a bunch of different options and messed with the INI for it and can't get it to break. I haven't seen any performance loss at all. I do keep Aero on, but that is only to get rid of the black background behind the bordered window. -
We recommend that in the STEP guide. I think the SKSE wiki page has detailed instructions of how we recommend you do this. https://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Script_Extender#Recommendations

ACCEPTED Come Together N Out of the Way (by Nausicaa)
EssArrBee replied to Quitch's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yes, I get it. Probably needs a option in the MCM menu to turn it off. -
DROPPED Cultist Mask Decapitation Fix (by pauderek)
EssArrBee replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
We wouldn't add major mods to the working guide, but small stuff like this is okay. I doubt when we added AOS and dropped two SoS mods that would have gone into the working guide. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim.exe - The Way It Should Have Been by Kahenraz
EssArrBee replied to Kahenraz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Did you extract everything from the mod's archive to /skyrim? Make sure to turn both the ENBlocal.ini lines for [WINDOW] to false, if you are trying this. Also, in SkyrimPrefs.ini make sure bfullscreen=0, it might be ifullscreen, I forget off the top of my head. -
Aren't we in agreement for removal of this mod? I already took the forwards from the last version of the STEP Patches. They won't really affect anything anyways.

SKYRIMLE Skyrim.exe - The Way It Should Have Been by Kahenraz
EssArrBee replied to Kahenraz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
In the executable drop down choose Edit...Type Skyrim.exe into the title boxThen browse to the Skyrim folder and select Skyrim.exeSelect that executable in MO when you run SkyrimIf you see the splash screen with the Skyrim emblem with loading on it then it is working. There is also a Skyrim.ini in the Skyrim directory that is for this app to customize some stuff. If running in windowed mode try out alt-tab or minimize skyrim, resize the window, maximize, double cursor doesn't show up... all that stuff is what you have to try. I'd suggest turning off borderless window ATM to try out the features. -
REQUEST: S.T.E.P 2.2.8 and MO -- USKP and correct ordering of esp's
EssArrBee replied to wolverine2710's question in Mod Organizer Support
I'm not completely sure the warning system works correctly if the problem is circular. It detects mod a needs to be behind mod B which needs to be behind mod C which needs to be behind mod A. Might make the detection go bonkers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
ACCEPTED Clothing & Clutter Fixes (by kryptopyr)
EssArrBee replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Well, dragons can breath fire and are technically immortal, so there bone density and the physics of flight doesn't really apply to them. I'm pretty sure the changes were designed to fit in with CCOR recipe changes that kryp made so they make more sense. I think Dragonscale armor uses like 50 weight of components to make a 15 weight armor. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim.exe - The Way It Should Have Been by Kahenraz
EssArrBee replied to Kahenraz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Double cursor fix. Would need directions for MO to add Skyrim.exe as executable and to start Skyrim.exe when wanting to play, it loads SKSE. The alt-tab functionality is freakin' amazing, so smooth compared to vanilla. -
ACCEPTED Come Together N Out of the Way (by Nausicaa)
EssArrBee replied to Quitch's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Would replace MoveIT Dammit, a mergeable mod, but this mod works better during my testing. We would need to put STEP recommended settings for the MCM menu. -
ACCEPTED Clothing & Clutter Fixes (by kryptopyr)
EssArrBee replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Some of the weight changes this mod makes are pretty out of scope with vanilla, don't know if you've noticed. Dragonbones and scales are reduced by about 60%. ingots and ore are increased from 1 to 2 or 3. Many light armor recipes might be weirdly out of balance, while heavy armor might make a bit more sense. -
DROPPED Cultist Mask Decapitation Fix (by pauderek)
EssArrBee replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
This can be accepted and add to the working 2.2.8 guide, instead of being added to 2.2.9. It is a small fix not in UDBP yet, and fits well with argonian decap fix already in STEP. Anyone object, or want to hold off for any reason, say so. -
DROPPED Argonian Sneak Tail Twist Fix (by Callak Skytower)
EssArrBee replied to WilliamImm's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Dropped. Now in USKP as of v2.0.1. -
I like the Alt: Arkay - The big red ball is just a bit to muchTalos - The look of both is nice, but the Alt shows up nicer in gameKyne - It is named Mint Chocolate Chip, nuff said.Mara - It has the little accents if you look close. And the regular: Julianos - Both are great, but I like the gold one a bit more, but the Alt changes the vanilla design as well as color, the regular just changes the color.Akatosh - Not sure how I feel about Akatosh as a golden dragon, but they are both really good.Zenithar - The chrome finish on the anvil just seems to fit nicely.Stendarr - Both are great, but the water is more like the original. Having coins poor out was creative.Diabella, either is good, but look on the top of each version, the regular has a little green leaf and the Alt has a little flower on top. I'm partial to the little leaf. EDIT: WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME FOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!

New STEP Patches are up, again ignore the 2.2.9 folder, that is for me. Highlights: Updated to work with USKP 2.0.1 except for one forward in the Extended patch that was for Skyrim Coin Replacer which I expect Neo will update very soon. No NPC Greeting merged, so patch users no longer need that mod. I'll make note of that on the guide and I'm going to figure out a way to make it so non-Patch users can get certain things like the SMIM plugins and this one.Bunch of fixes I missed from the complete rebuild I did when we added AOS. STEP Core Patch now reduces plugin count by 8, and Extended Patch now reduces plugin count by 19. https://github.com/EssArrBee/STEP-Patches

Sorry, was posting on two things I guess. The idea about doing something for mods that get absorbed by the STEP Patch, like setting something up on a wiki page was for 2.2.9.

No more bash tags hindrance in the new versions. They are going up in about 10 minutes so they can be added soon. Just finishing up the changelog and will sync them.

Questions from a new STEP user
EssArrBee replied to bmt22033's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Even if you only get some of the Extended mods, you can still use the Core Patch. Some stuff might get missed, but it is still much better than nothing. -

Correct about the Core patch, the Extended patch is for all the mods. It includes the Core Patch so you don't have to install both. -

Well, the ENB startup text always says intel graphics for me, but the nvidia processor is what is actually working. Did you explicitly go into Nvidia control panel and set tesv.exe and skse_loader.exe to the Nvidia Processor, not automatic?

Okay, I've gone through the new UPP stuff and updated the STEP Patches. Argonian Tail Twist is confirmed, thanks lubojart. Also, I've removed any differences I saw between WAF and UPP, so we can add the Names and Stats tagging back to the Bashed Patch. This will not affect anything, but WAF will need manual Names tagging or LOTS of names get overwritten. Also, No NPC Greeting will need to get dropped do to being in the next STEP Patch, author's page said to do whatever, so one less plugin and download. We need to come up with a nice Wiki page or something to list all the mods we end absorbing. Most of them will probably be small mods.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
EssArrBee replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Personally I unchecked import names but left stats. Mostly because I haven't had time to check all the various entries as they pertain to CCF.WAF.CCO. I already caught the Unofficial patches sorting issue though ;)Just make sure to tag names in the kryp mods too, and they should be okay if they load last.
