STEP type guide for Fallout New Vegas
EssArrBee replied to Synixtrix's topic in General Fallout 3 Discussion & Support
No one knows what exactly the problem is with gamebryo. It is probably the same problem skyrim had with scripts. There is also a memory issue and nmc has a low pack but it shouldn't be to much on medium. They are a mix of 1k and 2k textures with enboost should okay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Remember that Gamebryo can start to really break down around the 140 plugin mark. -
We wouldn't update with the INIs in the patches until the release of 2.2.9, since that would be a good time to introduce an updated set of patches. It would also give us time to test it out.

I say core as they fit enhanced vanilla animations going with core mandate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SKYRIMLE New Forest Atronach - by Ren by Rengel

Up close you notice the pattern but in game you don't see it that much when you fighting these things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
You could just install the ini tweaks and discard the patch. Simply uncheck the plugin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

STEP type guide for Fallout New Vegas

You can post stuff here just use the spolier tags or upload them as text files. -
In the left pane you can open a dds file but it will open with your default program. It is better in the Data tab because if you have multiple mods that include that particular texture then you can flip through the different textures to compare them.
-
go into the data tab in the right pane. find the textures folder and just keep opening the leafs until you find the textures you are looking for then right click and hit preview.

SKYRIMLE New Forest Atronach - by Ren by Rengel

Updated OP with compares. The vanilla were awful not sure why we weren't already using the BoS textures which are nice. I really like Ren's textures as well, the spriggan matron is really good. -
I like everything except the Sapphire. They are just way to blue and where is the transparency on them? Good compares roots.

Did you get the interface part to work with NMM installing the mods at the beginning and then using the MO import? If not what did you use? Any feedback on that guide is welcome. I have been focused on the STEP Guide because a few of our main members are out with RL stuff, but a couple are returning and I promised myself I would return to that guide. Would love to here what worked and what didn't from other users. -
I welcome some color variation, but I'm not sure that Aspen trees actually have that much of it. Apparently they are all one life form connected underground and they can spread around resources in the root system so the trees all tend to follow the same seasonal cycle. We do need some of that red in mix though, that looks fantastic.

It is an API that allows modders to add in more facial morphs. I've seen stuff that lets you change things like the bridge of the nose, nostril size, or the size of the iris. Guys can get really specific with the morphs they make and you can tweak every little thing on a face. Racemenu includes the DLL but that only does some other things like the height, arms, head sizes, and chargen extension actually extends it to things other modders came up with. Those are in the optional files.

You mean they look like some kind of friendship bracelet made into a bag? I use to get that, but I don't know how it went away.

You have to manually move the UPP mods to the correct place or you have to follow the directions given when you run BOSS so they get sorted correctly. They are now false flagged ESMs and need to be sorted in a different place. There is a link on your BOSS log telling you how to sort them.

Umm... tcl in the console and then just run up to the door and hit E?

Actually, what I meant is that I left out Skyrim HD so there were no Exterior folders created. I was thinking that maybe Serious HD would have a few exterior textures, but when I repacked everything, it was completely overwritten, so I guess it worked right.

Can someone walk me through something in TES5EDIT?
EssArrBee replied to DoYouEvenModBro's question in General Skyrim LE Support
No you open the patch in TES5Edit and it will automatically load all it's parents. Then you go through the patch and remove any record that has a SoS - Civ column. When done with that right click the patch plugin and hit clean masters, then do again and hit sort masters. That is the most basic way of doing it. -

How savy are you with tes5edit? We could walk through it but only if you already know some stuff about working with tes5edit. Edit: savy not wavy stupid phone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
SKYRIMLE Civil War Overhaul (by Apollodown)

I like the opening quote on CWO. "Dear Bethesda, Skyrim is about Dragons and Civil War. And Dragons and Civil War suck in Skyrim. So I fixed them." ~ Apollo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Well, if ELE and SOS - Civ edit lots of the same records then you will probably have to delete those records from the patch one by one. It is really tedious and time consuming. -
My terminology must be flawed ... I assumed 'custom INIs' were the mod-specific ones with the little paperclip. that is what I am talking about above. I have never used any of the custom mod INIs, but my profile INIs work great under MO.Sorry, I was answering DYEMB's question not responding to your comment.
-
I'm missing the Mod Exterior Textures folder after running the 4_Mod_Sorting_Pre-optimization_2.73.bat, but I did include Skyrim HD. Is that supposed to happed?
-
Mo makes custom INIs for each profile. The INI editor and the Configurator edit those custom INIs.
