Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
hishutup replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I worked with umi to get WAO fixed as quick as possible since WB screwed it up :/. There is an SRLE option in there. The only mods that you would need to add are PW, Ess, SoS and CoT Sounds but you can get rid of the COT patches for the DLC and Falskaar as well as Minty Lightning COT and all vividian weathers plugins except COT + Ess because it carries over everything. So everything kinda balances out, I guess. -
pack Weather and Lighting (by Smile44)
hishutup replied to Smile44's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
The most note worthy part of TS is the thunder sounds but that is my opinion. Umi made a few edits to them like removing some sounds during fog and some other weathers. TS does change the rain and snow shader a little bit. Balance with WAO isnt an issue because there are not that many thunder sound mods out there. Umi does include the patches that are edited for wao's weathers. I've always disliked vanilla rain because I can see the rain bands and once you see it, you can never unsee it. So I kind of have a soft spot for SS. If people dislike it, I'll remove it. -

I wouldnt worry about the patches for mods that are part of STEP. Those I can account for and make a patch. The only downside is I'll probably only make one but hopefully smash will be accepted where all the user has to do is click smash. I am aware of the fps fixes but thank you anyway :D I want the update to be a one time thing, with almost no maintenance because I'm terrible with commitments. -
SKYRIMLE WAO - Weather and Ambience Overhaul Megapatch (by UnmeiX)
hishutup replied to deadbody's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
yeah... I understood it was beta but the issue happened isnt generally something that one looks for. Here is a random image that I took. The patch is what wb missed but smash got. Here is the new version Its probably an easy fix though. Anyhow, smash made it pretty easy. although, one does have to work to get it to automate patching. -

ok so, with WAO going to what may be the sixth update today (only four were my fault), it seems that WAO will be actually released and fully functional by tonight, hopefully. I'm going to change the pack a little bit but keep some defining features, well, I will try but its main mod is going to be wao itself. Should the pack assume that a user is using an enb? If so then ELE would be used. Should the pack have people replace LoS with ELFX Exteriors? Should I include TS, SS or both? Should ISC be added over the top of AOS? Should I keep Realistic Nights even though there may be an enb? Even if you dont care for the pack, what are your thoughts? -

Its actually up to you. I dont believe WAO has ELFX Exteriors Mastered. -

Yes, but I am fixing WAO... There was some really, really funny business with WB when patching cells and lighting, the worldspace Block X,Y and subBlock X,Y swapped so that every record is under Block Y,X and SubBlock Y,X Umi, me and a few others missed this. There is a patch for W&L in the installer. -

Version 3 is released. Umi put a ton of work into it. -
The system works but the number of people that participate are few and far between. There are time people give -1 on something that is actually helpful in my opinion. In those situation I tend to zero it out. There are some people that post some really salty things which, I have done before. It generally results in -1. The spam in forums is completely unwanted. The rep system removes the necessity of doing the +1 thing. I may be biased but I see it work every now and then.
-
I think remove the less than 0 rep on a post. So that it is a positive environment. I do believe it encourages good posting habits though.

CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
hishutup replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
From my sparse observations, the random crashes seemed to have disappeared but that being said, I didnt focus on testing this. Its more of a random observation over the past few months. So, take it with a grain of salt. As for performance I haven't observed any significant change. -
[WIP] Mator Smash
hishutup replied to Mator's question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
Its no biggie. These are things that exist and were never really discussed in THIS topic. I dont lurk on the AFK forums very often but I know that Zilav, arthmoor and a few others post exclusively on there and have some good info. I should probably move my discussion over there because of activity. Mator, I think you need a special settings profile for the Official DLC. There are some minor things that sometimes get overridden with an ITM. Although, I dont know how necessary it is to forward those special records. -

CJ has the same amount of RAM as I do. Although, mine may be faster. I have a 970 and an AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3.2-3.8GHz I get 20-30 fps in cities. There is a good comparison. I get some money together and then see. -
[WIP] Mator Smash
hishutup replied to Mator's question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
Its not programming. I kinda wish I had some settings to show you. It does handle some scenarios very well but if your going to use it in a play through without going through and fixing what it did incorrectly then its definitely not ready. When I used it he was working on and finishing regex. The core part of the script is probably near completion and I would agree with that because you tell it exactly which records to patch/forward, it will do it. Speaking of which I probably need to read through the script one of these days. -
[WIP] Mator Smash
hishutup replied to Mator's question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
I hate when auto correct changes the word to some that doesn't make sense. Its supposed to read "When its told to use specific records on a given plugin it works pretty well. It was something I brought up with mator and wasnt directed toward you.More/less what I meant was that a place to change all the settings/profiles to whatever the global is set at. As I said,"Smash cannot be left to make decisions on its own, yet." The term "yet" is on purpose. I don't think the script is the point where all you have to do is click smash. It took me awhile to figure out some issues. I would definitely let it go through a few versions because there is a lot of know issues. Its at the point of seeing how does the script behaves. -
[WIP] Mator Smash
hishutup replied to Mator's question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
If you didn't make custom profiles then I can almost guarantee the patching is incorrect. Smash cannot be left to make decisions on its own, yet. When its told to use specific records on q good even plugin it works pretty well. I can probably come up with some unofficial patch settings the next time that I am in the chat with mator. Also, the number of itpo records is going to be high. There is a script included in the beta xedit to remove them. There are a few things that probably should be added soon. Last used settings. When the script is ran it will auto load the previous settings. Change all to x. Changes all the profiles to a given profile. And something in the settings file that will automatically set the plugins settings to a specific setting profile. -
Random floating ice chunks in Riverwood
hishutup replied to Roogman500's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Yeah, this isnt one of those disable it and move on situations... I would delete the merged esp and move this list back. RealisticWaterTwo.espRealisticWaterTwo - Legendary.espRealisticWaterTwo - Falskaar.espRealisticWaterTwo - Waves - Falskaar.espRealisticWaterTwo - Wyrmstooth.espRealisticWaterTwo - Waves - Wyrmstooth.esp Mator's merge script had a small renumbering bug but it should be fixed in 1.9.4 -

I think your merge went belly up. I've seen formIDs get jumbled before. Can you share the RWT merge log from "...xEdit\Edit Scripts\mp\logs" -
SKYRIMLE Delarics Conditional Combat Music (by Delaric)
hishutup replied to Muladhara86's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
ok, all you need to do is pretty much forward the keywords. As for the music track, I dont really know but I guess you could use the "Dawnguard.esm \ DNAM - Finale Filename" Its quite a simple plugin to say the least. -
pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
hishutup replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
yeah thats just weird. For me ENB never really affected frames. yeah, that helped. As long as the cities are cluttered, you'll never see it. CJ, maybe add that as a recommended tweak for people that do not have an i5/i7 because it almost doubled the fps. Im looking at this deal. Lets see what I can put out of my hat this month. -

hishutup replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Since a majority of people here use jk skyrim I have you to ask, what frame rate do you get? I just picked up a 970 (no I don't care about the vram) and it doesn't matter the number of mods I use I hang in the low twenties. I noticed people can double it with lesser cards but with better processors. Even etac flakreath I get stuck with 20-30 frames -

If its records in a plugin then that is easy to patch. If its scripted stuff then that is a little more tricky. I can have peak later, assuming that I'll remember. -

Ovewrite Problem in mod organizer
hishutup replied to CommanderKitty's question in Mod Organizer Support
If you mean saftely load, don't use it. Its explained somewhere on these forms but its redundant. The overwrite folder is where files that are created in the data folder while the vfs is active get moved.
