Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
hishutup replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Ah okay, I must still be using an earlier version of Vividian 7a then. -
Is anyone else getting this(links to copy) because its pretty annoying? EDIT: *sigh* relaunching chrome fixed it.

SKYRIMLE True Elk Of Skyrim (by Impulseman45)
hishutup replied to kryptopyr's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Is it vanilla friendly? For some, yes, others, no but its a definite improvement that isn't distracting like the vanilla abomination. Then again, i am someone that doesn't really care for vanilla because some work is truly dreadful on beth part. -
Discussion thread: Wonders of Weather by isoku Wiki Link Well, he said he was going to combine them and I think STEP already includes shooting stars so why not include this mod instead of those two.

I have been using this for quite awhile. This is a must have in my opinion and I would like to see it become part of STEP. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
hishutup replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
How reliant are you on plugin names? I know newer versions of the merge script will actually make a formID list. Maybe you can use that to look for matching plugin names. Here is a small merge that make be of use. I can provide the file if you feel that it would be beneficial. How difficult would it be to generate my own lod textures? Are the default LOD used for the objects? Such as Textures\tamriel\Objects That directory may be incorrect because its from memory. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
hishutup replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
well bashed patch didnt have any Worldspace or Cell groups. However, there are error in some references. It appears that it merged some plugins that added keywords. I would avoid relying on plugin names because people merge mods today. A bashed patch is determined by the author being "BASHED PATCH" -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
hishutup replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Well, I figured out my issue, it was the bashed patch. I should probably stop using the beta wrye bash because half the time it breaks everything and I dont really want to deal with it for skyrim. -

pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
hishutup replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
the only issue with ELE is not applying to new interiors. I believe most are using either no lighting mods or ELFX + ELE combo that SRLE uses. From using ELFX + ELE I havnt seen anything abnormal except light culling on meshes (or whatever people are calling it, flickering maybe) when ELFX meshes are overwritten by vanilla ones. EDIT: ETaC is going to include an RS patch in the next update. MJB says it in the mod page. -

oh the dreaded word, "incompatible". Its not an incompatibility but more of a bug than anything. I think that is one of those things that you cannot fix but rather avoid. -
Why so much MO hate? (semi-rant)
hishutup replied to Octopuss's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Hmm, mod managers are really up to the user. I poked around with a few way back when and I disliked NMM and I had my own reasons which may or may not still be valid. Wrye Bash was okay but I didnt really get into it due to the lack of "Nexus API" and mods that lacked support for wizard.txt/bain installers. Mo is okay for skyrim but lacks features with other games, yet again, in my own opinion. Mod managers can be helpful but they can only help you manage mods rather than do everything for you. I dont know, pick your poison. As for STEP and MO, the site has to have some sort of standard without one, support will be lacking, in my opinion. The decision on switching to MO was before my time on this site but I believe the testers did fair comparisons from what was available at the time. -

Do you have an image showing the issue with an ENB and can you also take another screenshot with the ENB disabled for comparison? -

Its kinda easy to predict if there will be a good merge or a bad merge. Yes, there are some unknowns but hey, when in doubt "Check for Errors" Mator has implemented a system but hardly anyone uses it. I was talking with him the other day and he's like "You know you could report successful merges, right?". Little did I know, he had a .jar that would submit successful merges. Well, that is over simplified but there is definitely a system. The most difficult part about merging, in my opinion, is remembering what needs to be patched after a merge. -

win10 as in windows 10. I think I got the permissions thing figured out (probably made it worse but w/e). 0600000 which the error is Unofficial Hearthfires Patch. I was going to run it without UHFP but I saw your suggestion so I'll try that first. I'm still on 1.0 The next time I run it I'll have 1.02 -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
hishutup replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Oh, I havent started removing mods yet. I would test more but it definitely could be an issue with win10 bloody folder permissions (this is more annoying then you can even imagine. Avoid switching users) I wouldnt test it too much because it is definitely likely that it is on my end. Already discovered one issue in win10. NEVER run anything as admin. Sorry for the off topicness. I may make a topic in Banter Inn -
