  1. ...it's amazing how silly and hypocritical the US seems from a outsider's point of view. Yes, you can let kids have their characters do very bloody decapations, and that's fine, but one shot of a boob and he has to be forcibly manhandled away from the computer. And, while you can't drink until 21, you can legellaly own firearms at 5... or something.
  2. Moved to Mod Testing. Sounds really good... no ESP, no conflicts with anything else.
  3. It's for a really stupid reason. Apparently, the author is a Moral Guardian and doesn't want his kids to be exposed to the adult mods on this site. Why he is still using the single worst site for Skyrim mods, I don't know, but I did suggest TES Alliance to him as a alternate site. And yes, the single worst site is the official Steam Workshop. Why? Because while it works for games that allow you to download, install, and play (eg: Portal 2 and Civ V come to mind), it does not work for games that require specialized tools (BOSS, for one) in order to make mods work. Why Valve/Beth didn't think about the ES modding system further boggles me.
  4. Mine too. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  5. I guess I should stop procrastinating and actually rework M3rvin's Fomod installer to use the new directory names. Simplest solution seems to be to add a combobox that allows you to select a recommended preset, then when you select it, it automatically changes the soul gem settings to the ones specified in the preset. Will also change the directory paths to use the new BAIN-compatible ones.
  6. On my copy of that ESP, checking for errors only results in showing null references for the two Civil War quests, both of which are ignorable.
  7. Well, may as well chip my my two cents: There's another septim replacer simply named Gold Coin Replacer that might be more accurate to the setting. Has anyone taken a look at it yet?
  8. Not that busy, actually. I'm just doing other stuff first.
  9. As long as the words "STEP" and "torrent" don't show up in the same sentience...
  10. Actually, Malronic/CptJesus's wizards are intergrated into the Book of Silence, so the BCFs are not needed.
  11. Going to move this to the mod testing forum. Neovalen has pretty much selected which textures he likes the best, but it helps to have more opinions.
  12. Based on my opinion due to the compares I did, I'm moving this back to Mod Suggestions.
  13. I'll move this thread and the one for TTYM back to Mod Suggestions. Some people may like them, but it doesn't feel right for core STEP to have these sort of mods.
  14. Marking for testing, for comparison with Beauty of Skyrim - Caves and Mines, as well as Snow and Rocks textures HD.
  15. Along with the other Beauty of Skyrim mod, marking for testing. I'm also marking the Hectrol Caves mod for testing as well, to see how all of them compare with current STEP.
  16. After playing around with it for a while, I'd say this should go in STEP. But, maybe the mod testers have other opinions. Marking as testing, anyway.
  17. Best advice: Read this thread about buying SSDs.
  18. Well, maybe the fire is magically made inert in the horse.. would also explain why you don't get burned riding Arvak.
  19. So, may as well start a discussion on a idea I've been thinking about for this mod. I realize that characters would not readily know the symptoms of a disease unless they knew a lot about medicine, given the setting. However, the diseases didn't get much of a description in the first place - just the name and the gameplay effects, so some description is needed. I'm thinking of doing something more immersive: When you get a disease, you don't really know a lot about it other than how you feel (physically). After getting a disease, you can get more information by going and asking an alchemist, who would attempt to diagnose you, and if he/she's successful, you get told the disease name, and you get the full description. Maybe even if you get the disease again after the alchemist trip, your character would recognize the disease. Common diseases are easiest to diagnose, rare diseases are much harder. And, maybe even if your alchemist skill is high enough, you'll instantly recognize diseases when you catch them. Sounds complicated, but still sounds doable. Tell me what you think.
  20. Yea, the BAIN installer is really buggy from what I recal. I would remake it, but I'm kinda busy.
  21. 1) The mod causing swords to appear on the back is XP32's Maximum Skeleton. Maybe you selected the wrong option? STEP recommends the Back 1hd daggers only. 2) Also the skeleton. You probably picked an option that says "Chesko's" somewhere... that gives you the modified quiver position (akin to his Belt Fastened Quivers).
