Bump! I think this one should be in the lineup for the next release. Author claims to have retextured all the webs now.

DROPPED Mystery Modders Shrines HD (by Mystery Modder)
TechAngel85 replied to Jorus's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I never liked the Golden Shines and always thought they never should have been included in STEP as they're too far away from vanilla. However, personally, I like the subtle changes this mod makes over vanilla and the changes aren't enough to disqualify it like the Golden Shrines should have been. I'll be using this mod for my own game. The vanilla are just dull and boring, IMO, and this mod add just a touch of "interesting". -
Full STEP Max textures + more = freeze
TechAngel85 replied to Aminados's question in General Skyrim LE Support
uGrids is probably the cause of this issue. First, if you're going to change it (not recommended!!!) make sure your set your "uExterior Cell Buffer=36" to "uExterior Cell Buffer=64". Changing uGrids is unstable for just about any setup with STEP. If all else fails, revert back to the defaults (5 and 32), and don't mess with them. You may have to start a new game after reverting back to the defaults for stability. If uGrids ends up not being your issue, then the next most likely cause is the memory wall of 3GB+. Limit your texture resolutions to 2048. -
regarding SMAA installation
TechAngel85 replied to m3dicat3d's question in General Skyrim LE Support
This is true! -
A & D) The reason that all settings are not cover is because they weren't available in the references I used for the guide or within my card/drivers. So not all possible settings will be covered. When this happens, it's best to just leave them on their default settings. B) If you're using an ENB: Open the game launcher and turn off AA there (or do it in your INI... "iMultiSample=0") and then open Inspector and set Antialiasing - Setting to "Application-controlled / Off". This turns off all AA. C) To force AF, open the game launcher and turn AF off. Then open Inspector and set Anisotropic filtering mode to "User-defined / Off". This forces AF via the drivers. Just be sure to choose your filtering setting (I recommend a minimum of 8x). E) It's not a bad thing that you don't have that parameter and I also believe that is all there is to it. Btw, if you followed B above, then that should already take care of your INI settings....meaning this step shouldn't be necessary if you've already turned off all AA.

Missing (black/purple) Texture? Report it here!
TechAngel85 replied to Farlo's question in DDSopt Support
Black textures are usually a result of a bad optimization in DDSopt. -

That's right as far as I'm aware. Skyrim is built on directx 9. -

SKYRIMLE Beautiful Landscapes - Skyrim Grassification Project
TechAngel85 replied to JVorn's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
What Farlo said... SFO already has this incorporated into it via the same ini tweak. The only thing this mod does differently (from what I can tell) is hand places more textures than Vurt placed with SFO. Lots is potential for clipping in doing that when combined with other mods. -
So transparency anti aliasing DOES work from the drivers? Just not MSAA/SSAA? So adaptive AA in terms of AMD lingo? I'm not really sure to be honest. Test it and find out, but some have reported transparency AA working.

SKYRIMLE Beautiful Landscapes - Skyrim Grassification Project
TechAngel85 replied to JVorn's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Skyrim Floral Overhaul covers grasses. In fact, the author says to install SFO before installing his mod. The images look like low-res versions of SFO grasses. Personally, I don't care for it. -
Missing (black/purple) Texture? Report it here!
TechAngel85 replied to Farlo's question in DDSopt Support
Sounds like you might have DDSOpted the color textures when you shouldn't have. I think they're suppose to be skipped in the DDSOpt process. -
First, have you tested it with other games, movies, and music to rule out that it's not the card, speakers, or headphones? That is for sure, only Skyrim is where the issue happens?

New version is out with new lens effect. Also, two versions are available. One with lens effect and one without. -
I just finished giving the Guide a freshening up. Advanced Editing is still to come. I'm splitting my time between this guide and a new one that Torminater and myself will start working on soon. I do need one thing though. Can someone with an AMD card that knows a thing or two about ENBs please take a look at the Troubleshooting tab and review the AMD/ATI Users section? Please determine if this is still relevant and if it is, please update anything that needs to be updated. Z, you'd be the perfect candidate for this from your experience with your preset creations. Thanks in advance!

I wrote a very nice Inspector Guide here: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:NVIDIA_Inspector If you set the AA mode to "override" it should work regardless.
-
Just letting everyone know that I've gone through most of the guide making some text and description updates. I've also added some information and instruction to the SMAA tab and updated the Main Configuration (INI) tab to support v0.139 of the ENBSeries. I've focused that tab to be the "common and basic" edits to customize your ENB. I still need to read through the Troubleshooting tab for edits, and an Advanced Editing tab is planned which will help guide in completely customizing your ENB; making advanced edits to the effects and lighting within the enbseries.ini file.

ACCEPTED KenMOD - Time on loading screen (by Kenney)
TechAngel85 replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Just an FYI, For those of you that would prefer a 12hr clock rather than the default 24 clock. Simply open up the "loadingmenu_settings.txt" file and change the "&twelveHourClock=0&" parameter from 0 to 1. Save the file, load it, and you're good to go! -
Since you're using an ENB, you won't be able to use the NVIDIA AA options in the drivers as they aren't compatible with ENBs unless you are using ENBSeries v0.119 or older. First: A screenshot would really be help to know exactly what you are referring to. Second: Have you turned up the SMAA to max in the injector.ini file? Open the file and use the "Ultra" preset, I think the default is "High".

Seeing your compares, Webs is very nice indeed. It would be best if this is added to keep ISW until he adds the other textures...if he does.
-
That would be correct, Joshkope.

As long as you don't use any SKSE plugins that depend on the Skyrim version (e.g., Nitpick and Fuz Ro Doh) there don't seem to be problems.Hmmm... Any word from the author on when updates will be released? (seeing it's the same author) I posted on both his walls asking for a time frame on expected updates. If he isn't going to update them, we'll have to consider dropping them from STEP if he won't allow someone to make an update for him.

The real comparison for this mod will be between Intricate Spider Webs (which is in STEP now) and this one. Screenshots will be needed.... however, I'm working on other things so I'll leave that to Rootsrat as he's the original poster. :P
