  1. That will require our experts to dive into USKP vs this mod to see if the changes from this mod have been in fact incorporated into USKP. All I can do is compare the mesh files. I'll be right back....
  2. They are quite beautiful; however, because of the 4GB RAM limit STEP is capping most exterior textures at 1K (sometimes 2K).
  3. Marking this as dropped and updated the 2.3 changelog to reflect.
  4. Make sure you're saving the changes you make to the profile before you close it. They don't just "auto-save". As for the monitors, I don't think there is a way to "set" certain ones to open by default. You alway just get to the default ones. For quick reversion, you can also export the profiles. For example, you can export the default profile (saving it to your hard drive) and then make your changes and export that new profile. Whenever you need to switch to and from profiles, it's as simple as double clicking on the exported profile and saving before you close Inspector.
  5. Could we move all SDO related discussions to it's thread in the Mod Testing sub-forum? I've already moved over some over there because any discussion for SDO needs to be done there.
  6. None that are called out specifically. However, Neo has been using the mod for a while now so he'd be a good one to ask. I do know that the Whiterun tundra and Morthal swamp are two major areas.
  7. Haha! I have a Asus G73Sw. I abandoned ENBs a while back to be able to play at high resolutions.
  8. FRAPS can capture video. (might have to have the paid version) (I have the paid version so idk what's included in the free version and what isn't)
  9. I'm approving this mod with the recommendation of 50% reduced.
  10. So not redundant. Thanks for clearing that up, SparrowPrince. :)
  11. I have no idea. That's a question for Arthmoor. However, the reason we'll be dropping it is because the majority of the fixes have now been covered by USKP. "One mod to rule them all", so-to-say. Unless you can show us that a significant portion is still not fixed by USKP and figure out what Arthmoor is talking about when he says some of the meshes are "broken".
  12. The point I'm trying to make is that not all find it useful so why include it in the main mod tables? It no different than not including Player Headtracking because it only affects 3rd person players and saying it should be in a 3rd person pack. Well, this mod doesn't affect all players (isn't needed by all players) just like the 3rd person mods we've discussed and thus shouldn't be in the main tables. We can't have two or three different standards just because we feel like it or STEP will become chaotic. The same standard that applies to the third person mods should apply to the rest as well meaning if this mod is kept it should be moved out of the main tables since it only affects a sub-group of players and not all. If my point is overruled, then it should, at the very least, have a note attached to it saying something along the lines of only installing it if you need its features.
  13. Awesome. I'm marking this one as dropped and updating the the 2.3 changelog.
  14. I think we could offer SDO as the main option (installing the Lite Swamps) and put in the note to use Distant Detail for performance STEP. Can someone actually measure the performance hit before we make the move though? Test with FRAPS (not ENB) with vanilla vs SDO Lite vs SDO Full.
  15. These types of mods should have MS threads so they can be considered for STEP. As for right now, there are very little mods the affect Dragonborn in STEP and that needs to change.
  16. All in due time. These textures will become more common when the DLC goes on sale and more authors obtain it. I have all the DLCs and have personally only played a small part of Dawnguard. The others I haven't even touched yet. That tells you how little the Admin actually get to play and enjoy Skyrim because most of our time is spent on STEP. The same goes for many mod authors. They spend so much of their time modding that very little time is spent in-game actually playing. Dragonborn stuff will come in it due time, but it may still be a while yet until we see Dragonborn related material become common.
  17. Interesting... the overall lighting is different in the two shots as well as the lock picks. The second shot is overall brighter. You must reverted back to 100% vanilla in the first shot? At any rate, I would say I still prefer vanilla from these two shots. You can in-fact, see some bloom from the vanilla coins with as well as from the Septim HD. However, the vanilla shot is what I would expect more from gold than the second shot. They are almost too "reflective", imo, as if a flashlight was being shined directly on them. Seeing 99% of nighttime Skyrim lighting is candles, the "reflectivity" is too much, imo, when considering the light source. The coins in the second shot is also not consistent with the surroundings or the gold candle holder would also be shining just a brightly or more so consider it is more likely to be polished than the coins are. Just my observations... Vanilla is my vote unless someone can sway me with a convincing enough counter. Still interested in hearing from Z considering he's to one that started this.
  18. I think it's going to be considered for for 2.3, but one step at a time.
  19. One of the best things I like about your work, CaBal, is that you stay true or very close to vanilla in your retextures. This is also why STEP loves your work, not to mention it is very well done and of high quality. :)
  20. SkyRealism has several presets. Cinematic is the most popular. Sharpshooter is still a bit popular. TheWilds was very popular but it was hidden a while ago for an unknown reason to me. Skyrim Enhanced Shaders FX is fairly popular. RealVision is popular amongst higher end users.
  21. It might be possible to apply that AI to the other birds; however, if the author isn't willing or it turns out to be impossible due to whatever reason, then I've voting for this mod to be dropped from STEP until which time the birds don't break immersion by not moving, stopping you in your tracks as if you've hit a tree, or any of the other immersion breaking complaints are fixed.
