  1. They look similar to Ewis Alternative Rock Textures which is what I've been using to provide some change from the default vanilla textures. Frankly, the vanilla textures for the rocks can become quite boring over time which is the only real reason I use Ewis Alternative Rock Textures; because I got bored with the rocks. I've just about gotten my game updated to 2.2.6 and all the mod updates installed as well. I plan on doing some testing once I'm done so I might check these out.
  2. If something, like this, is found not to be realistic or you think some tweaks could be done, you could be helpful by reporting them to the RLO team. Constructive feedback is usually always welcomed as that's how mods (and most things) grow and mature. Just as long as it's done tactfully and not in a way that sounds like you're "dissing" their work.
  3. Did you run DDSopt on any textures?
  4. Have you tried disabling RLO Weathers to see if that resolves the problem?
  5. I'd like to note that if you upgraded to SkyUI 4.0, you need to disable the SWF Version Checking for the Favorites Menu when using the Categorized Favorites Menu mod.
  6. IMO, the shot from RLO is much more realistic in the lighting from the considered sources. In the top shot, it literally looks like there are iridescent lights overhead. There is no possible way that the candles, fire, and windows alone can produce that much light and it's completely out of spectrum. The bottom shot is much more in the correct color spectrum and the light intensity is much more accurate. I don't know where you see that the candles are in the dark and not accounted for because I can clearly see a glow from them. They're just in the correct intensity and not unnaturally bright. 1 candle = 1 candle watt; not 10 like in vanilla. However, all this is very subjective to the individual user. I am a realism fan and always seek out the realism in mods first before other things and for me RLO is way closer to being realistic than vanilla lighting. To each his own, though.
  7. I first started getting into D&D type of games starting with Neverwinter Nights. From there my love for them developed and Origins was and still is one of my favorites. I still have Mass Effect 2 and 3 to finish and keep me busy until Inquisition comes out. Currently my notification tone on my cell phone is, "Commander, you've received a new message at your private terminal." :D
  8. I played Dragon Age: Origins and it was an awesome game even though I never got to finish it. Dragon Age II was a disappointment for many, myself included. However, Dragon Age: Inquisition is suppose to return to the gameplay and vastness of Origins. I'm a bit excited! [video=youtube]
  9. There is not and I don't recall why the chat was removed. I've been considering opening myself up to chat via a messenger; however, haven't made a decision on that yet.
  10. Looks like it's been ran through DDSopt and it shouldn't have been.
  11. This one stuck be we were looking to use it as the official STEP lighting solution. However, that will have to wait as no lighting solution is even being discussed atm. Can be unstuck.
  12. No, this and player headtracking can be unstuck.
  13. My vote would be for 50% as well.
  14. For proper mod testing, you can only have STEP Baseline installed and nothing else. If you have other mods installed, then that would defeat the purpose of testing for STEP as those other mods might conflict for you; whereas, they might not for anyone running pure STEP. This has been an issue with having proper Mod Testers as well. They always what to have these other mods installed, when they can't for a proper test environment. Switching profiles in MO doesn't work either because not all mod completely uninstall. Some leave some stuff behind. I have proof of that right now since I just uninstalled everything in WB to be able to properly update to 2.2.6 while also installing all the other mod updates that I've been neglecting.
  15. Could you provide screens from in-game? We shouldn't be using studios as in-game lighting affects the look and feel of the textures differently.
  16. Any locations that are affect by these mods will do. Just a variety of compares to the current STEP is what we need. Testing fire spells and comparing hearths (big fires in the middle of rooms) should do.
  17. Sounded okay to me, but it was a bit "chatty" there at the end. I'm still debating whether to push this one (Ambient Seagulls) for removal due to it replacing the wave sounds.
  18. I don't have the privileges to do so, but I'm going to get one of the other admin to promote you to Mod Tester on the forums. We're needing reliable mod testers that we can have test this and that mod or this verses that setting, etc. The ambient seagulls is one of those things that is happening "behind the scenes" that we need to push out to our Mod Testers. Problem is, they're usually no where to be found. Most of our testers start strong and then disappear into the void.
  19. Thanks, I would appreciate that! It's this overlap which is my concern. I might personally recommend Ambient Seagulls removal since you'll hear seagulls when there are no seagulls around in some places.
  20. As for the rest, I'll try to get to it today.
  21. Placing our our galaxy inside the game is just a... "no" for STEP. This will make a little more since when we release the revised Mandate. For now the Serious HD galaxy will be the default (I think) as it's latest in the install order. (could be one of the other overhauls) You all are always free to use any mod that isn't in STEP. You guys/gals are also more than welcome to have a lore debate, but don't be surprised if it's mainly ignored by the staff at this point. We have a LOT going on right now preparing for 2.3 and packs and this is being done in all of our limited free time.
  22. Can one of the savvy modders test this against Birds of Skyrim to see if they conflict? They both add Seagull sounds. Though most likely done in different ways, I would like them tested for conflicts and then in-game to see if the sounds clash where Birds of Skyrim adds the seagull sounds: Solitude docksThe Dainty sload (Ship)Wreck of the brinehammer
