  1. I'm guessing this might only effect a select few. I followed the Guide to the letter and sorted with BOSS. I haven't optimized anything either so I'm using the mod as is from Nexus. Could be driver related issue. I'm on Windows 8.1 x64 (Update 1) with NVIDIA 335.23 drivers installed.
  2. That doesn't make since. Doubt you edited anything that would cause problems with how it's applied to the body....however, Skyrim is a funny creature. You'd think the armors would just wrap around the body. Nope, they include the entire body mesh with them... :O_o: why...? Limits of the engine used I suppose. Hope you can get this figured out. My only suggestion is to reference another mod that alters the amulets and compare the differences to figure out what is causing the wackiness.
  3. You are correct. I suggest activating CNHF and walking around Whiterun for a bit. Stop and look at all the women's wrists. You'll see gaps on every single one. As well all the vanilla armors. Best way to do armors is to go to the testing hall (coc qasmoke) and grab all the armors. Equip them one by one and you'll see the same wrist seams on all the sleeveless armors. As I stated earlier, XCE with SG Textures for skin is a good fix for most of the vanilla issues. The only one still present that I remember are the gaps around the underwear. The SG Textures are better than XCE textures; however, they are a tad bit too "glowy" in the sun for my tastes. It's the only texture I've found so far that fits on the vanilla model without obvious seams or mismatched colors so I'd still use them without a second thought if it's the only one that fits.
  4. If you're testing on vanilla saves (as you should be) then you're always going to see the messages with testing and taking compares do to the mod never being saved.
  5. I just updated to AOS 2.0 and had no issues with the instructions. Download main file, download AOS_DLC_Compatibility_Patch file and then the STEP Patches cover the rest since the remaining instructions are for non-STEP Patch users. SRB stated in this post that there are no issues with the current patches.
  6. I seen it but that is a question for SRB. I still haven't updated to AOS 2.0 yet but this and this might answer your questions.
  7. Here is my one honest suggestion: Keep current STEP and... Use the SG Female Textures Renewal to replace the XCE textures. They fit on the body nicely after careful examination for seams and mismatched colors. I found none so it's a good fit (on my body weight...didn't test skinny and maxed out weights yet). XCE also fixes the majority of the female body issues. STEP:Core (XCE) >>> STEP:Core with SG Textures @Maticspaz This is the solution you are looking for. EDIT: Tested on 0 weight and 1 weight in RaceMenu. All is well. There is one seam I didn't notice earlier. It's on the inside of the right thigh...but in all fairness it's also present with just XCE as well...just a little less noticeable. Who's going to be look up close there anyway? Pervs...
  8. I went to the testing hall and grabbed all the armors. Tested every one with the CNHF body. Every armor that is sleeveless clips at the wrist and leave a gap. I stand by what I said earlier. No female body replacer is going to work with the vanilla armors.
  9. I've basically done this over the last week with a female nord. The result were the seems. Not sure how you're planning on getting rid of those since the vanilla armors use the vanilla body; thus, undoing the replacer mod. In other words, you're never going to get the CNHF body with a vanilla armor. You might find a few that work okay, but the first basic armor you get in the game isn't even working without seams. Not sure what you plan to accomplish in your testing knowing these facts. PS: Mature Skin is made for CBBE and UNP. CNHF is an entirely different mod than those two. The author is trying to include some UNP compatibility but it's not made outright to be compatible. A quick texture analysis shows that Mature Skin for UNP leaves a neck seam. Mature Skin for CBBE leaves wrist seams. However, SG Female Textures Renewal (UNP version) is working perfectly. Here is my install order for CNHF 2.5: [*]CNHF 2.5 [*]D-cup [*]No Texture [*]SFW D-cup Patch [*]SG Female Texture Renewal (UNP)
  10. Wasn't ignored or misinterpreted. We just back up things around here with real data. Until that testing is done and the data presented, we never take things at face value or user's words. No offense to anyone here. That's just how STEP operates. Now that we have the data the backs up the claims that no replacer is going to work with vanilla for females, we can move on to other options (posted above). It's likely that we'll simply not use a female replacer in Core because I don't think either myself or Z wants to take the route in having to add in several other mods to maintain compatibility. The Core Mandate also doesn't support that route so the other staff shouldn't really see that as an option for Core either. With that said, I also don't like what XCE is doing with the skin texture colors either. Because of this, I think a compilation or finding an alternative skin texture that works with XCE might be the best route for Core. I have yet to find one though for the reasons previously stated. On the other side of that coin, STEP:Extended is going to be the STEP Official Pack. Remember, when STEP 2.3.0 launches, the Extended mods will be moved into a pack and out of the main Guide. Thus, only Core has to remain as compatible as possible with packs. Since Extended is going to be a pack in and of itself, it doesn't necessarily have to remain compatible with other packs. Therefore, adding in one of the replacers to Extended is still a viable option.
  11. Currently, the only fixes for meshes/textures in STEP is XCE which is what is providing the feet fix. The textures for XCE aren't good though because although they smooth out the skin some, they also introduce some greyness which is looking terrible. This is what XCE provideds: - Adds more detail to skin of faces and bodies- Gets rid of angular shapes caused by compressed normal maps- Adds a lot more detail to the eyes- Makes the fingernails more visible- Removes jagged edges from the lips- Adds more detailed, healed scars- Makes the warpaint look more weathered- Makes the face dirt more detailed- Adds high quality female feet- Gets rid of neck seamsAnd here are the mods that XCE integrates: Detailed FacesDetailed BodiesDetailed LipsNo More Blocky FacesHigh Quality EyesHigh Resolution ScarsWeathered Warpaint and Improved DirtHigh Res Face Maps for Men by Geonox (Edited to fit body skin color)FemFeet by Phygit (Edited to fit body skin color)Lashmaker Eyelash Alpha Resource by Mr Dave (Edited)The problem with finding a skin texture is that I haven't found one that is designed to work with vanilla that still looks good and is vanilla-frienldly. The good ones are made for either CBBE or UNP, but none of the authors bother to make a vanilla version.
  12. This was the point in finding a vanilla-friendly replacer. That way armors were a non-issue and everything would would with the replacer. It would work with the game out of the box without jumping through any hoops. Having a non-vanilla replacer is doing more of what you're saying about forcing a specific choice. If we decide on CBBE or UNP, then only those compatibly armors can been used and only texture replacers (skin, etc) that are compatible with that choice can be used as well as only armors for that replace can be used. At this point, there is not a female replacer that fits the STEP:Core Mandate. The replacer would have to go into Extended as it's changing a lot from the vanilla game. Mesh (size and shape), skin texture, compatible non-vanilla armors and so on and so on.
  13. I'm afraid at this point we only have a couple options: Use Vanilla Use current STEP (which frankly looks worse than vanilla, IMO) Use one of the replacers and include the armors for that replacer (all replacers have a range of armors available) Compile our own compilation of mods that "fix" issues with vanilla but still works with vanilla Create our own female replacer that works perfect with vanilla (any mesh and texture artists around here?)
  14. Doesn't look good for CNHF 2.5: Full Size: https://i.imgur.com/IK7Ujlf.jpg I've confirmed the vanilla body is being used with the armors equipped rather than the CNHF 2.5 body. Besides the seam on the arm, the next most noticable thing is the width of the biceps which is about a 10-12 pixel difference in the above shot on the back of the bicep. This is going to be true for all major replacers. Prometheus doesn't seem to suffer from the seam; however, a side view will clearly reveal the vanilla body being used again as she is given an instant breast reduction.
  15. Lighting and weather mods have only been mentioned in passing that it might be good and time to find one for STEP:Extended; however, there hasn't been ongoing, heavy discussion on such. Right now we're attempting to find a female body replacer and that has been the main focus for about a week. Feel free to start up some discussion: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/1231-official-step-lighting-solution/
  16. Okay, then it's still marked at accepted. I propose Jewels of the Nord be moved back down to Clothing & Equipment and we instruct users to hide the meshes folder in MO. If I'm not mistaken this will achieve the same thing as moving it above SMIM did. We should keep the Conflicting section as light as possible. Since then Jewels of the Nord will only be providing texture overwrites. Putting this mod and Jewels of the Nord in alphabetical order shouldn't be an issue. Does this sound right?
  17. Just woke up and put a load of laundry on. As soon as I get some coffee in my system I'll start testing and post some preliminary shots....so give me about an hour. lol
  18. Ah, okay. Well...testing will tell for CNHF 2.5
  19. The amulets aren't uploaded yet (from what I can tell). So unless Saerileth comments, we'll have to wait til they are uploaded to see if a custom path is used for them as well. I assume the same path will be taken with the amulets as were for the rings.
  20. I read something about this. How are bodies exactly connected to armors? How is it that Better Males is not affected by this; thus, working with vanilla armors?
  21. Any in favor of keeping this mod should say so soon. Else it'll be dropped out of testing.
  22. Ditto, but one step at a time. I'll start testing out CNHF 2.5 for vanilla compatibility this evening and tomorrow.
  23. Doesn't this mean the Textures from Jewels of the Nord will not be used? Need clarification.
  24. Yeah, it's just the loading during shots is the reason I disable it (never remove). I have it active any other time. As far as how long it take, mileage will vary. HDD will probably take longer than SSD. It takes between 1-2 minutes for me. When you're doing a comparison serious of 16 total shots, that would be up to an extra 32 minutes of just waiting around from the text to clear the screen. TIP: If you don't already, having Immersive HUD active for all your shots makes them super easy and quick. Immersive HUD clears the screen so with FRAPS I only have to press one button to start capturing immediately. I cheat and have Immersive HUD active even in my vanilla shots because of this. This eliminates the need to open the console to toggle the HUD elements on/off.
