CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
redirishlord replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
@ CJ2311: welcome, I've benefitted greatly from this community, anything I can do to give back is a pleasure. Well, "re-gift" back anyway. Once Boris calms down he'll probably add that parameter back in a future version. @ KeithInHanoi: famous last words! Good luck and godspeed. -
@ CJ2311: proud to be a 'murican. @ SSL: the NSA will be viewing your uploads regardless. Oh, you said back ON topic, my bad. I just installed Copy and it was quick & easy, with rootsrat's referral link you get 20gb (thanks btw).

Done & done. Thanks for the tip, and thanks for the referral link. Here's a cookie, uploaded patched SKSE loader by SkyrimTuner for memory patch 3.0 if you have issues with SKSE 1.7 alpha, and ENB binary v0.251 from 17/Feb/2014 with ExpandSystemMemoryX64= parameter (previous to new version that removes said parameter). https://copy.com/yTkvfBG4Xtzi

I've got the v0.251 binary previous to this revision. https://copy.com/yTkvfBG4Xtzi Also, SkyrimTuner of Realvision ENB keeps an extensive archive of ENB binaries publicly accessible, although I'm not sure which v0.251 he has available there: https://forum.skyrimtuner.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=99 -
Re- Equipment Overhaul, version 3.13 seems stable. version 4.25 alpha adds additional features, but is not consider stable by the author Dragondude1029 who is currently working on a new version to be finished soon addressing those stability issues. Full disclosure, I'm enjoying Equipping Overhaul myself, but not advocating either way regarding STEP inclusion. Just here to obtain and share info :-)

I'll hit the Advanced Guides in the Wiki this week, I need to log some continuing education credits. Thanks for the tip.

It appears that Serenity does not. I believe Realvision did, but it had a custom installer. per prod80: FOMOD installer is there so that people using NMM can use it to get a notification when the mod updates.
-
I hear that, I never thought the 255 limit would be a real obstacle for me. After memory manager 3.0, I'm gonna have to take merging mods seriously (as in learning how to).
-
Re- installing via manager; The files and folders need to be copied to the Skyrim directory, rather than the Skyrim/Data directory, is that a problem? Seems like it would be for Bain, I don't use MO myself.
-
Didn't get all of the masses in the first CoTectomy, annealing from the second operation now and after a quick bash I'll be diving in to gather empirical intelligence on Serenity. From the sounds of the discussion & the look of the screenshots I may be gone awhile ;-)

SKYRIMLE Equipping Overhaul by Dragondude 1029
redirishlord replied to mightyusaid's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
True, probably need to wait for the dust to settle before bugs get sorted from false expectations, and then the actual bugs addressed. BTW Realistic Weapon Position is getting an update today, so there's that to follow as well. -
Or no need to re-engineer the wheel. The DSR mesh packs are a great resource, why not use them. I'm excited for this myself having just updated my Equipping Overhaul.

New flash, mod author gregtiwald writes on his Nexus page; I've got some Great news and some mediocre news for you all! The great news : I can get you a working version of the MCM switcheroo today! I figured out a workaround that doesn't use Java (because I'm quickly growing to hate Java). The mediocre news : It is a little heavier. It will have a hefty amount of extra models in it, because it will be using a new model for each new weapon position, kinda the same way Dual Sheath Redux and the new Equipping Overhaul work (they both have new weapon meshes for the left hand). This works with the MCM nicely, but the file size is bigger. So there is that. This is not the final version though. I am working on two versions more. The next one should hopefully reduce the bloat down to just two weapon models for each weapon (right and left), while also fixing the crossbow (finally). And the last version will be the keeper of clean I know it can be. Let me know how these new ones work for you, and stay tuned - I'll have the new one up in a matter of hours.

SKYRIMLE Equipping Overhaul by Dragondude 1029
redirishlord replied to mightyusaid's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Regarding equipment slots used the mod author writes: A few armours on the Nexus utilize some of the unnamed body slots that I use. Currently there are no more slots remaining after factoring in backpacks, cloaks, and bandoliers. I'm brainstorming on a fix for this and I may have thought of one. If the fix takes me a while to do, then I will update the mod to allow you to choose the slots in the MCM menu (for those who don't use bandoliers and/or backpacks and/or cloaks) as a temporary fix. -
CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)

Thanks a lot KeithinHanoi, I'm looking forward to better understanding those settings. ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true hasn't seemed to cause issues for me running a patched skse loader (512/256) so far, but my testing is by no means rigorous. CPU i7 4770k @ 3.5GHz RAM 16GB (2 x 8GB DDR3 1866) GPU NVidia GTX 670 2GB 120 GB SDD (Windows 8.1 64bit OS) 1TB 7200 RPM HDD (Skyrim) -
SKYRIMLE Equipping Overhaul by Dragondude 1029
redirishlord replied to mightyusaid's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Equipped shields do display on arm, unequipped are scripted to move to back. I guess NPCs will seem paranoid with their shields at the ready. Also the slots used will conflict with some gear; slots 44 (mask), 49 (pelvis, outer), 54 (leg, under), 56 (chest, under), and/or 60 (misc) according to this thread on slot nomenclature https://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1344290-body-part-ids-for-unused-biped-nodes-consensus/ The author posted this comment on his page in response to mod conflict concerns: ... Just open up my mod and change the corresponding armour and armour-addons to different slots. I could do it for you tomorrow if you like ... If one or more of those slots seem highly problematic, posting concerns on the mod's page may get a quick update to resolve the issue. I was glad to see these slots don't seem to conflict with Bandoliers, Chesko's or Nivea's stuff. -
SKYRIMLE Equipping Overhaul by Dragondude 1029

Good looking out on the slots used, I was so excited I overlooked that. I'm not a fan of Immersive Armor/Weapons, and I love the all-in-one functions of Equipping Overhaul, so its a no-brainer for me. I may run into conflicts with Black Sacrament &/or Bandoliers Bags & Pouches, but I'll manage. Of course I still have Dual Sheath Redux archived (along with every mod from STEP and my personal "pack", gotta love cheap hard drive storage). -

The Dual Sheath Redux page is still valid, although we can now opt out of the SkyProc Patcher piece in favor of the Equipping Overhaul all-in-one. Previous version has been working well for me for a while now, the new version seems stable so far. Pairs nicely with Realistic Weapon Position as an improvement to the XPMS, that should have a update soon offering MCM managed weapon positions. Exciting times. -
I think you mean Riverwood, which appears in Skyrim; as opposed to Riverrun, which appears in Game of Thrones. I think, because I enjoy both and could have likewise mixed them up. In regards to your original question, best "fix" I have found is to use SMIM setting 18 Fence light paired with an ENB for AA (and built in ENBoost feature for stability). You may benefit from waiting for a more informed response than mine, Best of luck.

STEP type guide for Fallout New Vegas
redirishlord replied to Synixtrix's topic in General Fallout 3 Discussion & Support
Looks great EssArrBee, used it to make my current build, and it keeps looking better (super creepy Tarantula Hawk fun facts, yuck). I've got a new one for you as of 18/Feb/2014, from Millenia, Weapons for a New Millenia https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55008/? its a roundup of his stand alone offerings since Weapons Retexture Pack. -
@ Trexasle: Really? I'm working with this; CPU i7 4770k @ 3.5GHz RAM 16GB (2 x 8GB DDR3 1866) GPU NVidia GTX 670 2GB 120 GB SDD (Windows 8.1 64bit OS) 1TB 7200 RPM HDD (Skyrim) With ewi65's ini files (edited to a more vanilla flavor) and ugrids set to 7. Which is fine, but nothing crazy, and I haven't noticed a performance hit. Admittedly I haven't fired up a performance monitor to check. I was running Realvision option B full at ~32fps consistently (which is plenty for this RPG, IMO, I can still get off opponents centerline & use incepting strikes to block) and Vividian doesn't "feel" different. I installed the main version with LOD bias.

Well, all told; 35,384 backers & £1,106,371 pledged of £300,000 goal. Looks like there's a great new game on the way. Great kickstarter!
