  1. I have your merged + patch ADAMs installed, but haven't got to playing yet. I did a clean reinstallation of the game, then tried to switch to MO (so slow...and so missing the features I love from BAIN), then went back to Wrye, cleaned up my mod build, learned a few things and fired up BUM to benefit from your recent additions. Now I just need to renumber my classic music tracks for R.A.C.E. radio and I should be good to go (fingers crossed that my HUD install fix worked).
  2. Well put WilliamImm, especially ME2 drama being superior. I think the STEP forum & guide reputation speak for themselves, I've learned a lot from both and it has renewed my interest in Skyrim and FNV. I have, and will continue to, recommend STEP as a great source of assistance and information.
  3. Glad the fix worked. I've been exploring Wrye a bit more, found out it plays nice with NVSE plugins if you tell it to. I'm curious about NVEC, but it has its own installer. I wanted to throw it in Wrye so I could see conflicts, and just how many plugins it needs. YUP should definitely be FNV's USKP, Iike that Y lists the additional fixes he would include if not for permission - makes it easy to install them myself. Oh, turns out I love BUM. It really turns BOSS up to 11.
  4. FNV definitely best of both with Cabal & Millenia (even some Insanity). Curious about FOOK PN convergence, AWOP might be a bit much for me personally. Did you resolve your Wrye modified dates issue?
  5. Its EssArrBee's guide so inclusion is up to him. However, I apprecaiate the tip myself as I find the mid-130's to be the plugin wall that causes insurmountable ILS at game start for me. I can manage 2k textures across the board just fine, but 140 plugins locks me out.
  6. I'll definitely check out the rock/clutter/book textures for myself (Ojo Bueno fan). I'm as stuck on Millenia's FNV weapons as I am on Cabal's Skyrim armors though ;-) So, NVEC definitely contains EVE? I have EVE/PN/WMX in my mod line-up, and I'd love to reduce my number of plugins. If NVEC could combine some of the esp files I'm already using that would be great, I can always hold off on activating content I'm not excited about. I'd have to get a bit more savvy with TESedit to no what conflicts I'd be in for though. Thanks for the tips.

I agree rootsrat, with everything except referring to her as "he" ;-) You might also check out her Druids Den Collector's Edition, even if you aren't looking for a lair, its really well done & has very interesting sort & display features. Interesting for the technical and aesthetic details regardless of whether homes are appropriate for STEP inclusion.
  8. @ EssArrBee: re- Wrye and modified dates, if you right-click the "File" column under the "Mods" tab, is "Lock Times" checked or unchecked? Might could be that is allowing plugin date reset, mine has been checked & I don't believe I have your issue.
  9. Yup. I pressed ctrl+c/v while saying cut, paste, and several expletives. I also find right clicking to indicate "paste" and the menu option for links to fail for me. I've had this issue since the new sight went up. Other websites and programs all operate as expected with regard to cut and paste functions.
  10. I am unable to cut and paste in any form. I assume my past crimes are responsible for my current suffering, and that makes me a sad panda.
  11. I need to see if I can disable the auto annealing it does at startup. I only get the modified dates have changed message when I run BOSS. Maybe its doing that because it doesn't recognize the plugins? Do you ever open the Installers tab, maybe that would add your plugins to the log file? Maybe not with MO storing them in another directory, that might be the driving factor behind changed modified dates.
  12. Sounds good, my only remaining concern is whether the auto-anneal overwrites steps 6 & 7, I'll let you know how that piece goes. I got cocky with my modding, so I'm doing the reinstall thing (need to check stability after each seclike a fresh STEP, you know the routine).
  13. I am unable to use Mod Organizer, but I do want to use Unified HUD. Are you able to give more depth to the finer points of the NMM install and import to MO. Specifically, how does MO handle the imported files with regard to install order of all mods? BAIN will anneal* installed files, so I'm trying to order the HUD related mods to avoid the anneal function disrupting the NMM install. * let me know if "anneal" isn't clear, Wrye's term not mine. Thanks in advance, and great tip about configuring Nevada Skies storms (the blush wore off the radiation rose pretty quick without ready access to a rad suit).

For what its worth, I'm using the medium NMC overwritten by the HQ version Ojo Bueno (I'm assuming Poco = light/1k, Ojo HQ = medium/2k and Ojo UHQ = ultra/4k?) and its playing nice with my 2k GPU. I moved to a full 2k texture set (from 1k/2k mixed) with my Skyrim build once the memory patch 3.0 became available, and that has been running smooth with an enb as well.
  15. @ KeithInHanoi: I will pray to the gaming gods that you might receive a 2gb card, I cannot think of a more worthy pilgrim. you should know the blessings of Cabal and his Book of Shadows.
  16. I added Sortomatic for Afterschool Special & New Bison Steve Hotel, I also have NV Interiors installed. Looking forward to seeing/playing with them, just have to get my build sorted ;-) Re- sortomatic for Skyrim, if you haven't already check out Saerileth's Druid's Den Collectors Edition. Not the same thing, but very interesting in it's own right, it's a player home built with the ancient Nord tileset above Valtheim Towers. No freebies, lots of features, well done. Sorry, Thanks for the advice, appreciated :-)
  17. Neovalen's advice to install mods after the Helgen intro is solid, the intro/tutorial is resource intense and an abudanceof mods with it can be problematic. Play through it at least once before going the alternate start route (I don't know if you are new to the game or not, but the original intro is worth playing at least once). Kuldebar's reference to aMidianborn Book of Silence armor retexture hits home with me, I wear vanilla armors by preference since installing it, they look that good now. Full disclosure, I'm not a fan of Immersive Armor/Weapons, there are much better retextures included in STEP.
  18. You might also consider HD Glass Impact Decals & HD Fire and Explosions; small, no conflicts with your list, no esp files. Looking forward to seeing these and others textures in game so I can give you an opinion of how they look. I've re-jiggered my textures; NMC, Ojo Bueno, NV-Recreational Project to get a look at them in game (quick re-order & anneal in BAIN).
  19. I appreciate the effort, and enjoy the ongoing project. The quality of individual voice overs varies, but it definitely improves on one of Skyrims weaker aspects. The re-recording of lower quality recordings is great news.
  20. I use Windows 8.1 (and its not My solution, just something helpful I found in the forums, I'm sorry I don't remember who to attribute it to). I believe the 4gb loader creates the exe directory to launch from and with the enb d3d9.dll everything seems to play nice from the 4gb loader shortcut. Re- WilliamImm's suggestion, I'm not resistant to change, however just need to know why I'm tweaking my currently working process ;-)
  21. Interesting. How does that differ from the existing 4gb loader on the Nexus? As it stands right now I just click that 4 gb shortcut and I've got that, NVSE and enb launching correctly. The effort involved was simply copying the various files to their relevant directories, with the exception of not knowing to copy d3d9.dll to the exe directory until I found that advice lurking in a corner of the forum.
  22. Um, I can't paste, anything into this forum. Confused by this. Was reading URWLNV comments, not sure how its going to play with my currently installed enb preset, I will check out the readme re- tweaking. I mention the 4gb loader procedure because I had quite a tour of the forums seeking a solution to crash on launch with the various memory tools installed. I was surprised at how simple the actual solution was, and that it wasn't stickied at top of the relevant mod page. On terrain, you have NMC over PocoBueno and if I understand correctly are looking to place a better terrain retexture over NMC? I'm playing with my textures in Wrye BAIN right now and thinking about order, and possibly OjoBueno instead of Poco since memory patch 3.0 is in play. Its too bad it isn't easier to find retextures on Nexus, I stumbled into this looking for Project Brazil (wanted to read its description again after seeing it referenced in URWLNV's comments).
  23. Thanks, got it. Looks interesting, but I'll have to try it with Diablotherium ENB and see how it looks. Regarding 4gb loader, consider using the 1.9 version by Monochromewench, Hendricks266 & Roy Batty. With this installed you can copy your d3d9.dll from ENB/enboost to the FalloutNewVegasexe directory and bob's your uncle, LAA with enb from the 4gb launcher. Obviously install NVSE 4.2 beta 3 for total memory solution. Finally, I found a terrain retexture for your review; NV-Terrain Recreational Project HD by Zarcuz (btw how do I cut&paste into this forum, I can't for the life of me drop a link in here).

For your consideration (in response to your latest post on the memory patch porting thread); love EVE, just installed WMX to test that (was using WME before), I use Nevada Skies & ElectroCity/Interior Lighting Overhaul paired with Diablotherium ENB for my weather & lighting. The Diablotherium ENB looks great with aforementioned mods, interiors are rich with moody darkness, rays through windows and mild lens flare from lamps. Exteriors look great with varied clouds and a punishing sun that conveys the heat well. The threat of a rad storm is enough to make you concerned everytime the weather changes; is it cooling rain, blinding sand, or deadly radiation about to hit?
