SKYRIMLE Follower Commentary Overhaul - FCO by terzaerian
redirishlord replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
This looks (? sounds ?) great, I'm adding it to my list. Thanks for the tip. -
Nice work, you've included my favorites; Aemar's and the Druids Den CE. I'll keep dropping by in case you find a Telvanni Tower.

I'm I'm curious to hear how that works for you. I combined the ARG armor & helmets myself, but avoided the Rangefinder thinking uHUD would be looking for it (it appears on the activation pop-up for uHUD in FOMM). -

I assume FCO Willow will need the NPC.Race tag too? Do other armor esp need tags similar to Trooper Overhaul, like Spice of Life & Courier Vests since they effect stats? Btw, thanks for the tip & burning the post midnight oil. -

Well I feel foolish, but that's not new. I'll add them to my growing collection, thanks. -
ACCEPTED Audio Overhaul for Skyrim (by David Jegutidse)
redirishlord replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Pardon, I'm not seeing these patches on the Nexus / AOS files page, should I be looking somewhere else for them? or waiting patiently for them to be created? @ EssArrBee: way to represent, saw & downloaded several patches of yours there, thanks. I was initially put off by the need for so many patches & compatibility concerns regarding Audio Overhaul, but after reading the comments about how realistic the archery and other sounds are and realizing (after reading the STEP info) that I can merge the various patches I'm enthusiastically including this in my new Skyrim build/playthrough. -

With the exception of that issue that seems to have been isolated to Beyond Boulder Dome, variations on my current list seem stable (although I haven't explored beyond Primm yet). Wrye/BAIN seems well suited to tinkering with install tweaks, and even seems to include a "profiles" option (although I haven't explored that as I don't mod compare/test like you STEP staff do). Excited to find the AUG, and a crossbow, but haven't yet. I did find a Colt 1849 Pocket revolver and enjoyed giving the Primm Gang the full Eastwood, they felt lucky but they were wrong. *edit: I'm going to abuse this playthrough in the name of testing, I plan to restart a clean new save once the guide is more final. -

I do have Delilah, Willow and Wendy Gilbert plus the better vanilla companions as well as the JIP command & companion sandbox. In fact I think I have pretty much your entire guide except for the fps wheel & dynamicam instead of your preferred version of same, oh and both hall of face & fco (in that order). Are you using LOOT to order your esp files? Maybe you're out of order? Meh, Wrye would probably flag that for ya, I'm at a loss and less qualified a troubleshooter than you to boot. I hear you on needing a break, you've been patching like a madman, but you lost me with stick of truth ;-) current install; -
Well, not the first time I've been blamed for children ... https://www.ifc.com/portlandia/videos/portlandia-pull-out-king you're welcome btw.
-
My kids, real or imaginary, never became "bald bug eyed monster" (monsters on occasion). Your mileage may vary, and I haven't tried more than one kid mod at time. I like PnP to give some variety to other peoples kids appearance, and TK with bigger heads to make my adopted critters a bit more normal looking when I come home to drop off loot. edit: I have adopted Blaise, Runa and Sofie with this mod installed. All had their appearance altered, and I didn't notice a sub-surface scattering issue (with Serenity ENB in the Druids Den kids in various PnP garb, although I wasn't really looking for an SSS issue so not a great test). According to the posts on the Nexus only the vanilla/DLC kids are included, so Inconsequential and other added kids will likely be "potato heads".
-
A "bigger head" mod is available that de-manga's them a bit, also Prince-n-Pauper and USKP compatibility. Throw in Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions and a nice home like the Druids Den Collector's Edition (with beds for four children) and you can start your own Dova-dynasty.

Well, I keep an a mod archive on my HDD organized by STEP catagories (for Skyrim) and similar for FNV (slightly different then the guide catagories), so I organized merged patches along those lines for convenience. (pardon the nicknames) Fixes: Cereal Killer; Tutorial Killer, Tutorial Killer - Factions, Tutorial Killer - Project Nevada, You take a sip ... Mr Fixit; Dead Money Surprise Items, Less Intrusive Killcam, Reload Speed Game Start Fix, Safe ShowRaceMenu, Ultimate Invisible Wall Remover. Gear: Advanced Recon Armor & Helmets; Advanced Recon Stealth Armor, Advanced Desert Ranger Helmet, Advanced Recon Riot Gear Helmet. Audio: Macabre Radio; CONELRAD, Existence. (both stations are by Macabre Productions per Nexus) Gameplay: Casino Royale; Casino Exchange All Pre War, Improved Casinos 2x, Populated Casino. Quests: Cut Content Compilation; A Koch & Bohr Story, A Thorny Situation, A Van Graff Scorned, A Wilder Wasteland, If it wasn't for Betsy, Pacer's Gambit, Outside Bets, Rotface to Riches. Xtra Gameplay (not all from the guide but maybe worth considering) Safety First; Armour Repair Kits, Clear Helmets for Radsuits, Glow Sticks. Xtra Gear (not from the guide but vanilla/Roberts/type 3 compatible) Scattered Swag; Aradia Kato Armor, Courier Vests, Drag's Modern Gunslinger Armor, Neck Chains, Road Fighter Armor. (with the exception of the seam hiding necklaces this stuff is scattered across various locations and except for the courier vests comparable to vanilla armor) As for your conflict, I feel your pain (Beyond Boulder Dome kept throwing that missing master for me even though FNVEdit & Wrye thought all was well). I have the various Advanced Recon/Detect Traps gear installed, no issue. When installing with BAIN; I placed Advanced Recon Gear, Advanced Recon Rqange Finder and Advanced Recon Detect Traps after One HUD but before Project Nevada. I placed Advanced Stealth Armor, Advanced Desert Ranger Helmet and Advanced Recon Riot Gear Helmets after ADAM Complete. I let BOSS worry about the esm/esp order and then merged the armor & helmet esp (see above). I reactivated Unified HUD afterwards and all seams to be working in game (although I have no advanced recon gear yet, so I can't check for sure, although if needed I could use the cheat plugin to add the items to Doc's house). -

Thanks EssArrBee for the answer & thanks WilliamImm for the masterlist update. I'll do that immediately. *edit: Outstanding, worked like a charm, I can see the new check boxes when rebuilding my bashed patch. You're a pretty good teacher, thank you. Hey, I've had good success so far with a variety of merged patches condensing some of your guide content, would it be helpful for me to list what I've merge together, or are you way ahead of me on that? -

Hey, pardon my newbness, am I to gather from WilliamImm's response that I do not need to add bash tags as mentioned by EssArrBee (and by the way I can find "list bash tags" in my menu, not sure where I go to add them, next stop STEP Wrye Bash Guide) as they have been added to BOSS? I notice my bashed patch has incorporated YUP - NPC Fixes (its "+"/green in Wrye) but the list tags function reports none. -

Good to know, I'll cut that and rebuild my patch. I may step foot in the wasteland yet, enthusiasm returning! * Edit: I believe my ongoing "missing master" issue was due to Beyond Boulder Dome, it seems to have cleared up with that removed from my install, possible it needs FOMM install? I updated my install list on previous post's "spoiler", total active plugins now 115. Still need to add Advanced Ranger Gear but no other additions expected (unless recommended by the guide). -

Outstanding, thank you. Sounds like I was being redundant, I had your Improved Sound - WMX patch. I didn't realize the GRA & various Weapon Sharing Fixes were included in your patch, great news. So, my revised installation; * Now revised-revised install list With the bashed patch, total 115 active plugins. Still need to add Advanced Ranger Gear, no other additions expected. -

Pardon my confusion, I'm using Wrye/Bain, the guide directions indicate a [merge] which I assume is a Mod Organizer function? Since I don't have MO functionality, would I then use FNVEdit & the merge script 1.6 to merge; "Improved Sound FX - Weapon Sharing Fix.esp", "Improved Sound FX - GRA.esp", "Improved Sound FX - DM.esp", "Improved Sound FX - HH Sharing Fix.esp", "Improved Sound FX - HH.esp", "Improved Sound FX - OWB Sharing Fix.esp", and "Improved Sound FX - LR Sharing Fix.esp" as the MO users do? Please correct me if I've misunderstood. Currently only Improved Sound FX - OWB Sharing Fix.esp & Improved Sound FX - LR Sharing Fix.esp are merging into my bashed patch (by that I mean the checkmark turns to a "." in Wrye Flash), although I'm checking the boxes to include all available plugins during the build patch menu. -

Glad to hear you're a fan of the NV Interiors. I notice that Improved Sound FX has several esp files, is there a trick to merging them such that Wrye Bash will import their data into the bashed patch? I can merge the majority of the sharing fixes with FNVEdit, but Wrye Bash only recognizes my originals not the merged file in the import sound tab when rebuilding the bashed patch. -
CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
redirishlord replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
If you manually downloaded enboost you can find the enblocal.ini file in the downloaded archive file. If you installed via a mod manager than enblocal.ini will be in your FNV main directory (not data). The same applies to enb presets, the enblocal.ini file will be in your downloaded enb binary archive file. -
SKYRIMLE Epic Gameplay Overhaul by ApolloDown
redirishlord replied to CJ2311's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Sorry, new multipart update. I don't use Alternate Start, but good news its compatible. Don't get me wrong, I'm tossing my three ongoing saves and jumping into Epic with both feet, just felt like I should give some kind of "buyer beware" disclaimer to compensate for my enthusiasm. -

Issue; brand new, ambitious, multipart overhaul. Be prepared for hidden bugs and the potential to have to start anew after bugs are squashed by updates. Keep in mind a fresh is required, and compatibility with Alternate Start may be an issue, might be safer for the Civil War scripts to complete the Helgen intro instead. BTW, I haven't played this yet, or otherwise investigated, but I am excited. -

@ EssArrBee: Agreed as too liking Ewi's work, although I haven't been in game to "shop & compare" yet (I'm rebuilding/upgrading Skyrim atm, STEP 2.2.8 maybe 9ish?). After looking at the post for his desert retexture it sounds like the darker/less saturated version is the way to go. -

Looks like Ewi has been busy. For your consideration and convenience; Desert Environment Pack Sun Pack Caves Retexture Bighorner Retexture Firehydrant Retexture Sewer Retexture Moon and Stars and of course the Ultimate Rocks Pack you already new about. Additionally Ewi's ENB preset continues to develop and is designed for the FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting weather mod. -

I'm amazed that MO doesn't allow drag-n-drop. Thanks for the tip re- Wrye Flash, I'll check that out directly, and I'll grab the FOMM-Fork as its older brother is my preference for uHUD install. EDIT *** Many new additions to the Bashed Patch with Wrye Flash version 15.7 ***
