SKYRIMLE Dawn of the Dawnguard Armor (by redtox)
oqhansoloqo replied to oqhansoloqo's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
lol - I saw a lot of others complain about that in the Nexus forum. -
Skaal clothes HD revival by redtox https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58934/ By the same author who put out a nice-looking retexture of Dawnguard armors. She had previously made this retexture of Skaal clothes for Dragonborn. I thought the screenshots on the mod's Nexus page looked good, so I'm tagging this one for testing to be considered for testing and to get some compares. I quickly installed the mod to look for conflicts and saw none with any STEP mod so the guide doesn't currently cover this.

Dawn of the Dawnguard Armor by redtox https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64559/ I see that nothing in the STEP guide covers these armors, but we do now have a mod covering Dawnguard's vampire armors in the upcoming version of STEP... I am tagging this mod for consideration for testing. The screenshots look good and look true enough to vanilla style. Worth at least getting some compares and considering for the guide?

SKYRIMLE Delarics Conditional Combat Music (by Delaric)

"Hide no conflict rows" feature? I wish I knew about that feature before - thank you! :) I'll have to look for that the next time I do editing. I didn't know about the control-click feature either... -

SKYRIMLE Delarics Conditional Combat Music (by Delaric)

Keith? (lol) I'd have to go in and look myself to be sure, but I do think that the music mod is adding some new keywords as well as also using some vanilla ones. -
DROPPED Super Realistic Ore Textures (by Kman420)
oqhansoloqo replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I agree - while I don't like the filename for that other download, its contents for STEP are more appropriate and saves about 12 MBs of storage space from having the useless pics included. -
Part of this looks like "Better Dynamic Snow", but for ash-covered rocks versus snow-covered ones.

ACCEPTED Greatsword Sheaths and Scabbards Redux (by rpsgc, MadCat221)
oqhansoloqo replied to rpsgc's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Hopefully at some point we can just rely on one mod, but not yet I guess. I'm hoping that at some point someone covers scabbards for Ancient Nordic weapons - I understand the BSW author's reason for not doing it, but there's got to be some kind of appropriate way to make something that fits in with Draugrs that will also look cool to wear as a player wielding such a weapon. The weapons are very common as Draugrs are throughout the game. The greatswords are pretty badass looking. It's a shame to not have a proper scabbard to keep it in when on the back. Maybe a scabbard that was made of metal rims and some kind of material that has deteriorated, but since the metal lasts, the metal remains as some kind of crude bare-bones scabbard that still shows most of the sword (because the material that would normally cover it has deteriorated). A chain could be used as a "strap"... In other words - there are ways to make it look cool and work logically. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Interface Makeover (Fhaarkas Font Mod) by Fhaarkas
oqhansoloqo replied to MosAnted's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I thought the fonts for books and letters looked particularly interesting. I haven't checked into it yet, but do any of the mods currently installed in STEP actually alter those fonts, or just the texture of the paper and covers of the books? (I haven't had time yet to check tonight) -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Interface Makeover (Fhaarkas Font Mod) by Fhaarkas

So what are the options/features that people generally like about the mod (that aren't available in better forms elsewhere)? :) -
Just looking at the pics on the Nexus page, these webs look really impressive. I'd like to see some people compare them. EDIT: I love the fact that you said you made an ELFX Enhancer version available too, as I use ELFX Enhancer in my setup for darker interiors.

CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
oqhansoloqo replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Interesting, (although I haven't toyed with that value post knocking my VideoMemorySizeMb down from 10240 to something like 7765 due to the new recommendations from TechAngel/Boris about it) I had previously tried to do a visual testing for stutter and felt I got improvement from bumping my ReservedMemorySizeMb all the way up to 768. I haven't played with the value since changing VideoMemorySizeMb... but as Tech keeps saying, everyone's setups will vary. -
ACCEPTED Natural Eyes (by nevenbridge)
oqhansoloqo replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I like Natural and TEOB the most - three reasons why, they show color, the whites are a good shade of white, and the irises look nice. Xenius is too grey and True Eyes looks robotic or something (fake). -
ACCEPTED Detailing the Eldrich - Higher-Res Riekling (by ObsidianStag)
oqhansoloqo replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I think Core, because it's just a texture mod and even though some of the textures look a little bit different in style than vanilla, it's not incredibly different (as far as the compares I've seen). Fairly simple mod with improved textures... my take on it. -

Honestly, if you want things to work nicely in a modded Skyrim, you should go through all of your mods and manually patch the whole thing (using a filter to highlight where the conflicts are). And it is a big hassle and will take you a quite a while (and is very tedious). What may be easiest is to count on the STEP patch to handle every mod covered by STEP (so any conflict between STEP mods or with vanilla files), but then just check the conflicts of every mod not in STEP to see what other mods they conflict with (which will likely be with some of the STEP mods plus other non-STEP mods in your load order). If you do notice a conflict amongst the STEP mods that the STEP Patch does not resolve (and there actually are some), then let EssArrBee know about it so that he can fix the STEP Patch. If it's a conflict with a non-STEP mod, then that's on you to resolve unless you can either get someone else to do it for you or find a pre-made patch for the issue elsewhere. It's a good learning experience, though, to go through and patch conflicts yourself. The EDIT2 issue - good question. I'm not an ace with TES5Edit and there are probably a lot of things I do in it that are not the best ways to do things. But maybe try searching for the keyword "ActorTypeDeadraGreater" using the EditorID search bar above the left window. Then once you find it, make sure you select the entry in the left window, then maybe click on the lower tab that says "Referenced By" under the right window. Maybe that will help? Not sure... I think it might tell you what other entries refer to the keyword. -
SKYRIMLE Delarics Conditional Combat Music (by Delaric)
oqhansoloqo replied to Muladhara86's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Looks like you want to drag the Requiem keywords over into the same rows in the last column (last column = your patch plugin). Requiem never removed a keyword though, it just added 3 of its own. The music plugin added 1, so in your patch plugin you want the 3 Requiem added plus the 1 that the music mod added. You already have the 1 from the music plugin in your custom patch plugin, you just want the other 3 from Requiem and you are good, I think. EDIT: Though you want to scroll down and look for any more conflicts too... EDIT2: The only potential issue that I can see is if the keyword "ActorTypeDeadraGreater" is actually used by Requiem elsewhere... if it is, well then yes, that could create issues. If it's not, then I don't think it would create issues. So yes, you do make a point there. I guess to be sure, you'd have to look at some of the references in Requiem. I'm not sure. -
SKYRIMLE Delarics Conditional Combat Music (by Delaric)
oqhansoloqo replied to Muladhara86's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
No, you would not need a patch for every mod that includes edits to the races that the music mod covers. Just one that loads after all the other mods that edit the same things (that conflict) and should automatically get sorted properly by LOOT to do that (and if it doesn't you could make a custom rule for that in LOOT so that it does). I am talking about creating a new .esp file that contains all of the desired data in the case of conflicts (and it can hopefully resolve conflicts from all of the mods you mentioned). I started typing basic instructions for you here for creating a patch plugin, but then I thought that it would be too easy to make a mistake and you to not know what is going on. I would either have someone create a patch for you, or if you want to learn go and read the TES5Edit Manuals available to learn about some of the features. -
OK, for 1.94 - It's a Fomod installer... and all the options I'm giving you to use are for STEP Extended. Bow and Quiver - select XPMS Default. Joy of Perspective - select No. Experimental Package for Left-Hip Bolt Quiver - do not check box. 1 Handed Sword Placement - XPMS Default. Dagger Placement - Back Hip Dagger. Dagger Equip Animation Package - check the box. Options - do not check any extra boxes. Last Step (XPMS BHD) - only option... That's it - good to go.

It only contains one plugin (.esp) file, and the data in the plugin are all easy edits - patching would be easy. -

Even though I've never tried the mod, just seeing some of the pics and reading about some of the features, I'm thinking that some basic improvements can be gleaned from this mod. I'm marking this for testing consideration. EDIT: lol - actually, someone beat me to it. -
What do you see if you look at the "Software" option? EDIT: oh, forget it, I see you found a different way to find it...
