  1. Enemy AI and the major NPCs are much better. Companions other than Dogmeat are still the same.
  2. Well said, and that's what we're hoping to form with the STEP community. Â It's amazing how many dedicated people are willing to contribute thoughtfully and discuss matters civilly given the right environment, and that's what will push STEP to be the best it can be. When civility runs out there is always layer upon layer of dry humor and sarcasm. That is the life blood of long term relationships. It's hard to be angry when you're laughing.
  3. Do you ever have problems with mods getting dropped from your tracking list, cuz that happens to me quite often?
  4. Even though I kinda agree with you after looking at the textures myself, don't post anything like that on the Nexus. They can get a bit touchy with anything that is perceived as negative, true or not, and will most likely ban you.
  5. After I opened up most of the textures and normals in paint.net I saw the same thing. I'm glad someone else is confirming it cuz I thought it was just me.
  6. Well a lot people came out early on and made most the textures double the resolution, then Bethesda came out and made most the textures double the resolution. It was like a lot of that work was for nothing and they'd have to go back and do it all over again.
  7. By time TES 6 rolls around you may only be able to get 64 bit PCs. It will take a good 5-6 years before the next game, especially with a TES MMO coming. Do you think Windows 10 will even have x32 support? By that time x32 will be only exist on phones.
  8. I really loved the interview Todd Howard did at E3 before skyrim launch and he was saying how the built an all new engine. Then the game launched and this all new engine was only DX9. That would be a nice DLC to upgrade the game to at least DX10. Crysis 2 had post launch support for DX11 rendering. They don't always have to give us a brand new bike if the old one gets new bells and whistles.
  9. I think a found a weird area outside of Whiterun, I was setting up TPC lite for my lappy and saw this: Â I don't think this was there when I set up my PC with all the high res stuff. So far the only other things installed were fixes.
  10. Be careful with More Dynamic Injuries, spams your papyrus logs and stays in your saves after you uninstall. Does Duke Patrick's still require a clean install for every upgrade? I liked his mod from Oblivion, but I'll wait until the updates are little less frequent. I kinda disagree that Skyrim combat was good, probably the part of the game that disappointed me the most. I think Beth took a big step forward with some elements of game design over FO3 which was a step forward from Oblivion, but the combat system feels dated.
  11. I hate to pile on buddy, but SRO v1.5 is up. It's bigger than 1.4 too.
  12. Version 1.5 is up and it's bigger than 1.4 update, almost 400MB. Starac must be off of work or school cuz that's Dawnguard, 1.4, 1.5 in about 2 weeks time. Are they still selling Four Loco?
  13. This happened with New Vegas and a modder remade a bunch of the cut content and put it in 7 or 8 mods. I guess if you can show me a massive open world game with no cut content I'll show you a flying pig.
  14. Frostfall has the exact same issue, I don't know what it is, and I don't think anyone else knows either.
  15. There is a very interesting thread over at the beth forums about the cut content hidden by scripted events that don't exist or commented out, like the civil war quests going on in every hold. There is even some dialog hidden in there too, one mod uses it, Legionettes. Decent little mod to add so ladies to the legion and pro-imperial hold guards.
  16. Dawnguard isn't great but it's better than all the terrible stuff we got for Oblivion. I'd say it fits somewhere between a full expansion and DLC, one of the new areas they added was really beautiful. I wish there were a few more large side quests in it though, most are just mini quests. I'd like to see something that is average in size, but then also adds in some expansions to the really short guild questlines.
  17. Just make sure that you use the icicle texture from RIS, the extreme watery ones look awesome.
  18. Check to see if the photo upload beta thing is still going on. I did it a few months ago and go a bunch of free space just for uploading photos from my camera. I think the max was 3GB or maybe 5GB I forget, but it is in 500MB increments.
  19. New version 4.2 came out and the author decided to continue support for non-Dawnguard players. Change log (pretty big update): Follower combat while mounted is probably the biggest thing here, mitchalek really has some sick skills.
  20. See Above. :) Yeah I saw that part and I looked at the readme and saw this: I like customization but that is ridiculous. He needs to add one of those nice spells or books like convienent horses or dance of death.
  21. it would probably have to be higher than what EBT recommends if you have lots of NPCs on screen.
  22. Some of those time and radiant quest requirements are bit long, but I like the idea behind the skill level checks. I slow down leveling about 30% with Community Uncapper and slow down time quite a bit with Dynamic Timescale, so this would actually take me forever to complete.
  23. This is probably cause by something that modifies shouts, if it's the Draugr Overlord then that modifies the BossDraugr (or DraugrBoss) list. Some mods like LSB BattleHammers disable the disarm shout so your weapons can't be removed and fall through the floor, so look for something that changes shouts. And take note of what shouts are being used that cause CTDs.
  24. This guy is really burning through the vanilla weapons list, at this rate should be done in a couple weeks and then it would certainly be worth looking at which are the best retextures he offers. I'm not to crazy about the deadric stuff, but everything else looks good.
  25. I love this part of the description:
