DROPPED Categorized Favorites Menu Oni Edition (by Onigamibr)
skwareballz replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Added the link to the main post, stupid I know. I think the major mod compatibility adds the big mods like skyre and magic mods, but this one adds in dawnguard and a bunch of vampire mods plus a ton of custom races. Both are built on top of Extreme Compatibility config so it's about preference. I started messing around with the .cfg last night and it's pretty easy to work with, so really anyone can modify their own to work with their own mod list. The whole thing all comes down to keywords or exact matches. I added a few to the sublists so LSB battlehammers and Immersive armors would be covered, and it only took me about 15 minutes once I saw what it was looking for. -
I found a ton of my AV Packs on TES Alliance before they started making their way over to Nexus, and Dark Creations is a good place to see some larger projects that are in development, I think USKP is hosted there too.

Discussion thread: Categorized Favorites Menu Oni Edition by Onigamibr Wiki Link The author took Extreme Compatibility Config by whickus and has updated it with new mods and Dawnguard. Dawnguard is not required. Here's a list of what's new: It's what is already in STEP with even more added in, can't loose.

Yeah, I can get to the mod's page, but no info and no files. This might be a good time for the community to diversify itself and spread the love of TES modding to other sites.

SKYRIMLE Requiem - The Roleplaying Overhaul (by Xarrian and Ogerboss)
skwareballz replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
There is also Character Creation Overhaul which takes Skyrim back to the Oblivion system. I personally thought that the leveling system in Oblivion took a lot of the fun out of playing the game (I still remember having paper and pencil to make 5-5-5 and 5-5-1 characters). One thing I do miss is real classes though. -
SKYRIMLE Automatic Variants (by Leviathan1753)
skwareballz replied to Anosognos's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
This post is pretty much for future reference, but since I've been testing AV a lot lately, I'm posting all this info in case I forget about it. I've become a little obsessed with AV the last week or so with all the new packs starting to roll out. There is something that I've found out that needs to be considered for testing with this mod in regards to STEP. The install procedure is easy enough and using this will not be intimidating after a couple of uses, but when a STEP user that has tons of files already in their texture folder is using the patcher there are certain issues. AV has the ability to package normal maps (_n.dds) along with the texture (.dds). AV will look for every file that is associated with a creature in it's own folder first, and say a creature has 6 files of textures and what not, and the AV Pack only has 4, then it will move on to the loose files and finally the bsa for the remaining two files. If the STEP recommends Fhaarkas Softer Animal Fur for the normal maps of cows, trolls, ... then it will not show if the Bellyache pack for AV is installed, because AV will use the included normal map in the AV Pack without ever using the Fhaarkas normal map. For the STEP recommended stuff to work there are two options. One is to use the AV patcher GUI to disable the files in any of the AV Packs that would get used instead of what STEP recommends. The second is to overwrite the normal inside the Data/SkyProc Patchers/Automatic Variants/AV Packages/ folder or the Data/Textures/AV Packages/ folder with the desired normal. This means copy-pasting over the _n.dds for every instance of the normal map which can get tedious and time consuming. I asked Levianthan about this and he said that he now has an idea for making an override folder which would use all the files in the that folder with the AV Packs so they can't override. With the amount of mods that are in STEP, it looks like we need to pray to the Nine for Lev to make that happen. Otherwise the guide will have a lot of: go to Bellyaches Animal->WolfBlack, highlight wolf_n.dds, click disable, go to WolfIce, highlight wolf_n.dds, click disable.... (This is if and when AV is included). My personal AV Packages folder is already nearing 2GB, lucky for me there aren't a ton of creature normals added by STEP, it's pretty much Fhaarkas and Bellyaches (which is now an AV Pack). When AV adds in items and maybe weapons and armor, this concept will be essential for testing. -
SKYRIMLE Immersive Patrols by Scrabbulor
skwareballz replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
No it's compatible with with everything. The patrols move around Skyrim's roads, but don't use any of the Dawnguard stuff. The only cells that are edited are some of the civil war campsites which are not touched by Dawnguard either. There will be a vampire patrols thing in the future, so that might require DG assets, but until then have fun. -
I thought TPC was quite better, I did not like those roots in the first RRD comparison, the brown is way to saturated. The walls in that first pick, RRD has a bit more definition to the etchings which is the only thing in all three comparisons I saw RRD had that I liked more.

SKYRIMLE 83Willows-1 EYE OPEN- creep Nightmother and Coffins
skwareballz replied to Staind716's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Don't forget that if you cheat and win, you'll only have a slap on the wrist. Just look at Bill Belichick and Mark Maguire, or every bank that trades derivatives. In this case there is nothing to win, having endorsements doesn't make you rich and I'm positive Todd Howard isn't going to be beating down your door with a job offer cuz you make pretty bugs that everyone uses. -
Gyro's Planned List of Mods
skwareballz replied to Gyro's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
More Dynamic Injuries should be avoided right now due to scripting issues, it will spam the crap out of your papyrus logs. The author is back working on his mods again, and might give this some needed attention, so until then skip it. Ars Metallica is in STEP, and with Complete Crafting Overhaul it might be smithing overkill, you should probably pick one or you'll have lots of redundant recipes. Amethyst Hollows is a crazy player home, if you like homes. Immersive armors is also the best armor mod out there, has a UNP file that supports 6 of the armors. If you like blunt weapons, 1H and 2H, then look at LSB Battlehammers, very underrated, but lore friendly and adds to vanilla sets plus adds unique weapons, the only draw back is that it disables the Boss Draugr disarm shout so your weapon doesn't fall through the floor. Also, it you really get used to ASIS or some other SkyProc mod then check out Automatic Variants. -
SKYRIMLE Economics of Skyrim by Thomas Kaira
skwareballz replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Smiths now offer smithing services, who would of thought that might need to be in the game? I noticed it works with mods that add items to vendor's lists, but the smithing services only work for vanilla items. -
That's why it feels so weird to get all this free DLC for Mass Effect 3. It's like Bioware is trying to distance itself from EA. But then again, EA was loosing about a billion dollars a year just 3 years ago. I would love to see a nice expansion to the Companions questline, it was short for game with so much content they could have focused a little more on it and sacrificed a few side quests.

UNP vs. CBBE: Discuss!
skwareballz replied to Gyro's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
First off there are no fat people on Nirn, so throw realism out the window. I think UNP with Fitness Body would probably line up with someone that does as much running around as my dovah does. CBBE seems like the stomach area is to skinny for hips, that's the curvy version though I haven't checked out the Slim look. Regardless of the body replacer you use though, All in One Face is a must. I think that the glamour look comes a lot more from the face replacer like Coverwomen. -

ACCEPTED Enhanced Blood Textures (by dDefinder)
skwareballz replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Just in case anyone has had problems with the latest Crimson Tide Blood like I have, installing EBT actually seems to fix the problems. I looked into the files and both mods use pauderek's "simple blood mod" as a base, but CTB modified the scripts and those modifications are probably where the problems are coming from. After installing EBT my CTDs stop and my papyrus logs aren't being spammed anymore, even my corrupted saves seem to be much better. EBT is a really good mod, but I think the blood pooling and the spurts and spatters from CTB were better. The oil effects that were added for dwemer autos was a really nice touch too. I really hope that one of these mods eventually gets everything right. -
SKYRIMLE aMidianBorn steel plate armor by CaBaL - frihyland
skwareballz replied to Farlo's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I hope he got a good price for his soul cuz textures that good are clearly black magic. -
I believe that this is the best female face replacer and I've seen quite a few people on the thread ask about a male replacer, so hopefully we'll get one of this quality. I started using it with v2.0 and then v3.0 put it to shame and v4.0 put that one to shame. As far as I know only the vampire replacer is a vanilla body face, but even the UNP or CBBE versions of the regular faces should work without the neck seam being to different. I started using this because it didn't give the faces that plastic doll look that most of the replacers do. Coverwomen and Better Females are very high quality work, but they change the elves' faces way to much to look like the humans.

ACCEPTED Enhanced Blood Textures (by dDefinder)
skwareballz replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I think that EBT needs to get serious consideration for the next STEP, Crimson Tide Blood v2.2 has some issues. CTB has many reports that it is causing CTDs and it can't be removed from saves. I've seen a ton of these two lines in my papyrus logs after uninstall: warning: Could not find type zbloodnpc in the type table in save warning: Could not find type zbloodnpcbleed in the type table in save It's probably 90% of my logs. Vampires also seem to get stuck when feeding, and there is an animation loop with dawnguard (for future STEP). Many on the Nexus thread for CTB have reported similar issues of CTDs, freezes, and save game corruption. EBT just got an update and has compatibility patches with SkyMoMod and Dawnguard. I haven't had time to test it myself, but since my saves are wrecked anyways I might just start a new game with it tonight. -
It's just one of the things that doesn't get carried over from the other games. It actually makes you wonder if Skyrim is lore friendly to The Elder Scrolls, since there were a few things left out like a left hand with the inability to bling, minotaurs, dreugh, silence, burden, water walking, or the lack of enchanted arrows. With something like ASIS on expert or higher, this may almost be necessary, good find.

The merchant gold hasn't really worked for EoS since the newest update. I haven't seen the author around lately either.

On the Bethesda forums, amplifie has compiled a great list of mod compatibility for dawnguard, constantly updated, very useful.

I hope items like this can be used with AV pretty soon. It would awesome to see banners with different levels of wear and tear. @fri: Are you using his AV pack? The falmer variants are freaking awesome.

Nice list you got there, if you are fast tracking people then maybe add Leviathan1753 - Made SkyProc wrig675 - Bellyache's mods

SKYRIMLE Immersive Patrols by Scrabbulor
skwareballz replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
You'd think that mod authors were aware that the Nexus is having serious issues and maybe hold off updating mods for a couple more days. I've had about 20 mods on my tracking list update in the last 3 days. And as much as I enjoy this mod I'm super anxious to use the new one.
