  1. The main problem is that my greatsword or warhammer go right through my quiver which breaks immersion, and this prevents me from having to manually unequip my arrows.
  2. UNCLE SHEOGORATH'S REALLY HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=12234 If you are a well adjusted human being then you probably hate Skyrim's loading screens, but this might help. Replaces all the loading screen messages with your Uncle Sheograth's Hints and Tips, which are about as good as another hole in the head. At the very least, you might laugh. There are probably around 300 replacement messages.
  3. If you use any armor sets, then I imagine you play in third person, so this mod is almost essential. This little mod remembers the arrows that you had equipped with your bow. I think it even supports this feature for your follower.
  4. Morokei Mask Enchantment Fix by ZeroTorrent https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3329 Technically, the Morokei Dragon Priest mask works fine, but the enchantment assignment for the mask is just a generic 100% magicka regeneration and in the Skyrim master there is a unique enchantment for this mask that is not being used. This little mod fixes that and gives Morokei a unique enchantment assignment like the other Dragon Priest masks. The new assignment gives 100% magicka regen plus 20% reduced time between shouts. Version 1.1 has four .esp files, one is the regular fix - MorokeiFix.esp - the others are: I haven't tried the other three versions, but some of the comments from the nexus say there are problems. As for the regular fix it works fine.
  5. I think any mod that includes other mods is a positive thing for STEP. Having a one stop shop for multiple mods will only help reduce install time and makes STEP more user friendly. It also helps that the included mods were already included in STEP, so I imagine it is easier for TC to write the guide with less individual entries and less links. I know that going through the guide I missed a few links just because there were so many.
  6. You could create your own mod with the CK, but I would recommend Elys' Skyrim Community Uncapper. It allows to adjust almost every aspect of leveling, including how quickly each skill levels, and how much each skill contributes to overall leveling, plus a ton more options. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=1175
  7. There are some fixes in Better Followers that are not in any other mod, and there is a Lite version now that has the fixes and dialogue.esp, but excludes the body replacer and Specialized Followers mod. Better Followers does the same thing as Move it Dammit, too. Also, UFO isn't currently compatible with Black Tower/Black Sacrament Armor if you choose to recruit one of the followers from the Black Tower, at least until AmethystDeceiver finishes his fix. That alone is the only reason I haven't started using UFO, since I really like the Black Sacrament Armor.
  8. The thread that Martigen started about this over at the Beth forums was pretty interesting. He listed quite a few STEP mods that could optimized for a few MB here or there, but wouldn't it be up to each individual to do this on their own to get the best performance from the mods? It seems like we might need to ask the modders to optimize their mods and then reupload them, or try to make a large package with everything available to everyone. I wonder if there are any texture mods from STEP that you guys leave out? like Chris2012s Whiterun which Martigen metioned could be reduced by over 100MB.
  9. I've used it and both higher spawn and higher leveling is true. You will not have to fight off 50 bandits in one little room or anything crazy, but there are a few times when you will be fighting a giant plus 4 bandits and it takes longer than 30 seconds to kill and loot them.
  10. When doing a batch install, is WB supposed to install from the highest # mod to the lowest or the other way around? is there a way to reverse it?
  11. Since STEP already has Pond Fish Retexture and this mod does a retext + it adds 14 new fish, should we remove Pond Fish Retexture? I understand wanting to have the best possible look for Skyrim while using STEP, but overwriting one texture seems a bit much. If TC says that one texture is that much better than another though, I would still defer to his judgement.
  12. I have tried this mod myself not liking that no one could challenge my dragonborn in later stages of the game, and you will have to go back to carrying lots of potions so you don't die and run out of magika, like in the early parts of the game. Skyrim is only a few months old, so I imagine in another year we'll be trying figure out some crazy FCOM setup. Really, STEP is the only thing holding my over until someone has truly massive overhaul of the way Skyrim plays.
  13. I think this mod would be a great addition to STEP, but the Specialized Followers that is included shouldn't be used. I think that some of the stuff added by SF is not totally really lore friendly and the added abilities can get a little zany, like Illia turning into a swarm of bees when her health is low. The installed makes it easy to customize the install though so everyone can get what they want out of this mod. I almost forgot why this mod is so important. Horses for Followers requires this mod to be installed, and being able to ride around on horses with your follower is quite immersive.
