BornAgain FO3 T51b Winterized PA Fix
Kelmych replied to MalekBrood's topic in Fallout 3 - Clear & Present Danger
I will look at this when I am at my computer. -
Sounds good to me. My interest in the mod is similar given all the empty milk bottles

Bash tag for Purified Water FWE behaviour?
Kelmych replied to DanielCoffey's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I tried adding the Script Contents bash tag to the Blackened FWE - MMM - EVE - Project Beauty plugin but it still didn't work. There is no bash tag for effects, so this will need to be part of a post-bashed patch patch. -
Any possibility of reducing load times?
Kelmych replied to Healomonster's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
It wouldn't have a noticeable effect. The plugins (vs. textures and meshes) likely have a much bigger effect on load times. -
Crow has almost no items in his inventory
Kelmych replied to Satur9's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
That's great. I wish I knew why he sometimes doesn't show up at the same rate as the other merchants, has limited stock, and loses guards. I expect the merchants are periodically reset, and when this happens he gets his stock and guards back. -
I found that it works with Fallout 4 also. Until you mentioned it a while ago I didn't know this was possible.

How to fully backup all profiles
Kelmych replied to GlassWizzard's question in Mod Organizer Support
It's often a good idea to also save ModOrganizer.ini (in the Mod Organizer folder) and the contents of the <YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Fallout3 and <YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Loot folders located on the system drive (note that AppData is a hidden folder). These can be restored to the same locations later. -
Constant Freezing... Is this normal?
Kelmych replied to MetalPhilosopher's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I've had the most frequent problems with ILS when the number of plugins used is close to the limit for what Fallout NV can handle with the particular system being used. You might try temporarily removing 5-10 plugins and see if this affects the ILS and CTD problems. If you use Fast Travel frequently users have reported problems with ILS/CTD, by the way. -
Crow has almost no items in his inventory
Kelmych replied to Satur9's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I have seen his happen before in my previous playthrough and the current one. I haven't found the cause. I'll look into it. If you find anything about it let us know. -
This comment should also be added to the notes in the FWE guide description since it's possible that some users might not read the game settings section right away.

Which UF3P Exotic Caravans ESP?
Kelmych replied to DanielCoffey's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
The recent mod update added these three options, and the the guide need updating. The Project Beauty one seems most consistent with the rest of the guide. What do you feel is the best choice? -
Mod Organizer 2 Discussion and Feedback
Kelmych replied to TechAngel85's question in Mod Organizer Support
I haven't installed any new mods yet with it, but I haven't had any crashes during the game while using the new version. -
Why Don't Character Preset Mods Work?
Kelmych replied to GlassWizzard's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Do the presets use any scripts? In Fallout NV and 3 scripts are part of the plugin. -
More Perks' "Early Training" is not working.
Kelmych replied to Dexatron's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I haven't used this perk so I'm not familiar with any problems with it. If you go through the Anchorage DLC quests you will receive training in Power Armor. This DLC can be taken fairly early in the game, so I didn't see the need for the Early Training perk. If you have already done the Anchorage DLC main quest the Early Training perk is unnecessary and doesn't work. -
ACCEPTED RUSTIC SOULGEMS (by Gamwich and Saerileth)
Kelmych replied to Octopuss's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The empty black soul gems themselves are not evil, but they are used as part of necromancy which has been considered evil and corrupting in many of the Elder Scrolls games. In any case I prefer the black soul gems to have a black color. I also prefer that the black soul gems look quite different than the other soul gems, even if they aren't colored black. In TES lore they are not just another soul gem type that is otherwise identical to the rest of the other soul gems. By itself, of course, this is only one feature when comparing different soul gem mods. -
These comments have been added added to the Fallout3 INI Tweak guide referenced in the main guide. Thanks.

Powered Power Armor and timescale
Kelmych replied to DanielCoffey's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
The timescale default is 30 (1 real hour - 30 game hours) , but many users prefer a lower (slower) value of 10-20. It can be set in the console or with Wrye Flash. This was added to the Powered Power mod notes in the guide. It's always useful to get feedback and suggestions on the guide, and I always appreciate these comments. I look at every mod that users recommend (it can sometime take a while, lf course). -
Thanks for the comments. A new pointer to the DirectX software was needed, and your comments on the Windows 10 problems were added. I will installing Windows 10 soon, as will other users still running older versions of Windows, so listing issues with Windows 10 is quite useful.

ACCEPTED Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul (by kryptopyr)
Kelmych replied to darkside's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
That was true only for CACO 1.11. As mentioned in the Nexus page for this mod, CACO version 1.12 requires Wiseman303's Flora Fixes. -
ACCEPTED Book Covers Skyrim - Lost Library (by DanielCoffey)
Kelmych replied to Nebulous112's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I also agree with extended. It could be Core if we felt that the lack of books from previous TES games needs a fix, but that may be a stretch. -
Fuz Ro Doh provides a plugin (dll file) for SKSE. Skytest and Interesting NPCs have normal plugins (files ending in .esp). Fuz Ro Doh won't show up in the list of plugins in the right pane of MO. As GrantSP mentions, there are two subtitle settings in the game options menu. These turn subtitles on or off.

Which xEdit version for lodgen to use
Kelmych replied to Gazda's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
You can use the latest xEdit from FO4Edit alpha with the rest of the files. It isn't a formal release but it should work fine. -
Which xEdit version for lodgen to use
Kelmych replied to Gazda's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
The FO3Edit part of the guide points to the most recent version of xEdit. Until recently this was the version on AFK Mods, but currently this is in the Fallout 4 Nexus page. The official page for FO3LODGen is still the page referenced in the guide, and the guide does use files from this page. Version 3.1.2a is listed as "People having crashes with 3.1.2 please try this version and report results in comments" so it is not shown as the latest official version. The FO3LODGen instructions already recommended using the existing xEdit (which would be the one already installed as part of the FO3Edit installation), but to make this clearer some additional text has been added. I haven't seen any reports of testing FO3 LOD Generation using the latest version of xEdit built for use with FO4, but I don't expect there are any problems. The FO3 guide links to the latest official release setup by the mod authors, which for FO3Edit is the FO3Edit page and not the FO4Edit page. There is no guarantee that the latest version of xEdit on the FO4Edit page is stable. The guide notes for FO3Edit include a reference to the most recent version of xEdit (currently the FO4Edit version) which, as stated on the Nexus page, isn't an official release. -
Small error (?) in the FSR part of the Guide
Kelmych replied to Gazda's topic in Fallout 3 - Clear & Present Danger
The original version of this was taken from the FNV guide since it is an FNV program that was determined would work with FO3. Some errors were corrected from the original FNV guide text; apparently this has been fixed in the FNV guide but was missed here. Thanks for catching it.
