One of these days I'll cull down my load order for a playthrough based on the mods requiem (with hard times), footprints, wetncold, player head tracking, and frostfall. I'm sure those mods together can be fair stable in a small load order. If I ever decide to use a needs type mod though, I'll likely have to be rid of player head tracking at the least.

My first day using firefox, I asked myself why I ever put up with IE...
-
Well I did a battery of tests today on my cpu and I have actually come to find that overclocking my cpu from 3.3 ghz to 4.0ghz like I had it before was not giving me the performance boost that you would expect. I was seeing maybe a 1-3 frame rate increase in some areas, and still dropping down to 25 fps in others. I admit that I have not attempted to overclock my evga gtx 760 SC 4GB edition though. Not sure where to start on that one, and I have heard it won't really amount to much for skyrim and does not play well with enb.
-
well, I might turn off skylighting. Idunno, I think that I wouldn't get the fps boost tbh because i'm using realvision performance edition. the skylighting is already set to low. mwuh hah hah let's do it >;) I think it's safe to say that quite a few of us here are more than capable of getting the data once we figure out where to look.

figured as much. I'm just infuriated that with enb, SRO, dawn of whiterun and windhelm, and any sort of riverwood mod I use to make the place less bleak, I hit 25fps and below in whiterun, windhelm, and riverwood. and there are areas in the game where if I happen to swing the camera around at the right point in time i'll dip below 30 fps. All textures are optimized, and the enb is not heavy. the enb only costs me about 5 fps average. almost everywhere else in the game I can hit solid 45fps outside and 60 fps inside. And the reason this is so infuriating is because I can run almost every other game for pc on the planet at a solid 60 fps maxed out. the exceptions are crysis 3 and metro last light, and even those I run near max settings comfortably.

I'm looking to see if anyone has any advice. I understand that Skyrim is heavily dependent on the cpu and not so much on the gpu as other games are (though granted, a decent gpu is a must for skyrim) My question is, how do we get the most out of our cpu and gpu for maximum performance? Or is there anything we can do? I look at my gpu and it's running pretty fair at average 85% load, but my cpu hits between 40-55% usage on average. Is there a way to help my cpu run a little more efficiently in the game? Or am I chasing after rabbits here? :p

Skyrim crashes to desktop when loading SKSE from MO
deathneko11 replied to whiteyjuice's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I agree with previous posts. You have a mod conflict, because that behavior describes a missing master crash down to the letter. Check with WryeBash or Tes5edit, launched through MO. -
step 2.2.7 and Interesting NPCs
deathneko11 replied to stepwanw's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I could be wrong here but, as far as I know Interesting NPCs is one of those mods that, while quite large, does not modify any vanilla content and should not interfere with anything here in STEP (though something tells me there's probably some sort of patch for it, everything has a patch nowadays it seems lol) I would say to go ahead and get STEP core set up and running, test for stability in game, and then throw Interesting NPCs in there. You are using MO, which means that if any files do conflict you will see them more than likely. If you do see a conflict arise then most of the time you can handle the conflict by setting the mod priority in mod organizer. -
Does a MO Profile also include the piority order?
deathneko11 replied to jyujinkai's question in Mod Organizer Support
Your first assumption is correct. Load order is independant of each profile, even copied ones. However, if you copy a profile it will have the same load order as the original. You can still edit freely the profile of each though. -
SKYRIMLE Tamriel Reloaded - Textures and Parallax
deathneko11 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Never mind then, thanks for the answer. Looks like I read more into the SRO topic than I thought :p btw is there a thread or guide here for suggestions on using SRO as the baseline, installing other visual mods over it? I'm still learning where everything is, I want to make sure I did not miss it (have been scanning over the forums for days now) -
ACCEPTED Cutting Room Floor (by Arthmoor)
deathneko11 replied to torminater's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It will be incompatible with some quest mods that fix broken quests or add quests back into the game, so that would be a good place to start. -
SKYRIMLE Tamriel Reloaded - Textures and Parallax
deathneko11 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
actually, I've been meaning to ask. According to these posts, SRO is a parallax mod? I didn't know that at first. If this is the case, what do we need to check with enb files to make sure that parallax is properly on and working? -
I game just fine on an amd 6100 fx 6 core cpu. It's just fine for desktop computers, and are supposed to be designed for friendly overclocking if he has a black edition unlocked series. However, 3.1 ghz sounds kind of low for processing speed. My 6core came at stock 3.3ghz and I overclocked it to 4.0ghz just using the multiplyer in the bios.

whoah wait a minute here, back it up. I did NOT create or program in any way Mod Organizer. I just simply created the tutorial videos for those that are new to the program, and to teach some old dogs new tricks (i've even taught some seasoned users a thing or two). Tannin is the one that did all the code work.

CoT&RLO --> No CoT&ELFX
deathneko11 replied to Glanzer's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
ah, never mind. I misread the previous posts as I thought you were talking about the optional Sounds download on the COT mod page. Disregard my previous post then. -
CoT&RLO --> No CoT&ELFX
deathneko11 replied to Glanzer's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
cot sounds come as a separate optional download, and not part of the cot main mod (except for weathers, if that's what you are talking about then disregard.) -
CTD when entering Helgen (beginning of the game)
deathneko11 replied to KermitTheGreen's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I'm against coc from main menu for mod profile testing. It is unreliable because there are many scripts that are initiated in the dungeon intro that have an affect in several areas throughout the skyrim world that can affect stability. -
Mod Organizer Download Progress Bar
deathneko11 replied to MallaVelve's question in Mod Organizer Support
It's quite common actually. I just ignore it. -
just wanted to say that I got that soundblaster card. Oh god, what an experience! It came with a nice little directional microphone too, my test voice recording was crystal clear with no editing. This has made my entire month I think.

I think I just sniffed out one of my first let's play youtube series ;D

How to install XP32 Maximum Skeleton?
deathneko11 replied to iggybug's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yeah users of this skeleton have had issues with the installer in the past. Glad you got it sorted out. Marked as solved. -
Hmm. I've glanced over it and realise it's free but, what are the benefits of using linux over something like windows 7?

CTD when trying to lunch game and black screen when lunching ENB
deathneko11 replied to astalicia's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Huh. Think I need to dig deeper into USKP, it's been a while since I've looked at all it's fixes. -
CTD when trying to lunch game and black screen when lunching ENB
deathneko11 replied to astalicia's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I don't like to "just go with it" without knowing why.
