  1. Wolf, you'll never succeed. You and i both know it. ;) Now, if anyone needs me to I'd be happy to upload to my mediafire account properly packeged mods for MO install. Just pm me and I'll send a private link once i have the file uploaded. If this is against the rules let me know, but as far as i know this should be fine since it will not be a public upload.
  2. basically it's telling you how the bsa file will function when it's not checked. generally a mod or dlc with a bsa file will still function when the bsa is not checked, but if there are any mods with loose files conflicting with the bsa file then the conflictive loose files will override the bsa functionality in game. on the other hand, if you want the bsa to take priority then check it. a basic explanation, there is a little more to it but no need to get too technical here I think.
  3. i've never heard of the boss log falling into the overwrite folder, but other external programs such as tes5edit and wryebash also set their work in the overwrite folder. you can look at the overwrite folder as a sort of "workstation" for Mod Organizer. It is technically safe to keep files here, but cleaner if you move them to where the files are supposed to go. keep in mind that all files in the Overwrite folder are loaded by Mod Organizer when you launch the game. So use this information as you see fit.
  4. so "theoretically" my method would work as it works on the same principle as the method described by wolverine. cool. only difference is that my method takes a little manual work instead of having to install and use FOMM to install the mods for me.
  5. so why not just open up the installer file with winrar or 7z and then copy/paste the files into the mod folder you make in MO? it takes a little knowledge of how the file structure is built for the mods, and which plugins you want, but if you can manually extract the necessary files and then place them into the self built mod folder then it should work.
  6. this is just a shot in the dark here, but why not make a single mod package that contains all mods that have the XXX_menu.xml files needed to be seen, so that they will all be visible in a single folder and not isolated from one another, and then install the mods that need to see said files into the same folder. nothing will be isolated from one another. I say this is a shot in the dark as I do not play fallout series currently and cannot physically experiment with their mods. I am assuming that there will be no serious overwrites or conflicts if the files from all of the aformentioned mods are placed in the same folder while the proper file structure is followed, and that MO would be able to read the file structure.
  7. Marked as SOLVED as the initial query was answered by Mod Author as intentional and functional behavior. I agree with Techangel, on the issue of Windows 8 errors needing address via the official bug tracker for Mod Organizer. If you have not made an account there then please do so and post your bug, but please check to see if it has already been posted by somebody else first!
  8. I'm no expert on troubleshooting body type mods but some things you could try, these are good troubleshooting steps for general mod usage anyway. Make sure you repatch after adding any mod. so if you have a skyproc patcher for skyre rerun it. also run FNIS again. make sure you follow FNIS instructions. Try starting a game without the body mods. do another life, get out into the world. After the new life is started then try installing body mods. Hit tilde ~ to bring up command window and type "showracemenu" without quotes and use the racemenu to set your character body with new body mods. also Dual Sheath Redux is a beast. it can be tricky to make it compatible with skeleton and body mods. you have a bit to juggle here, so try to make sure you have everything installed and patched correctly. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable on these things can come and help if you cannot figure it out. I keep it easy on my end, I just use UNP and no crazy skeleton mods like Dual Sheath Redux. too complicated and script heavy for little effect. Good Luck.
  9. This basically explains how to use WryeBash to create a bashed patch through Mod Organizer. This is not as in depth as I would like it; however, I plan to create a more detailed video tutorial and updating this one in the near future. At its core, however, this will at least get leveled lists working and smooth out some possible incompatibilities in most load orders. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg2S7K1Nhd8
  10. This basically explains how to launch and use TES5edit and BOSS through Mod Organizer. This same method can be used for using any other external program with Mod Organizer. A common exception might be skyproc patchers, but those are covered in my advanced guide.I created this one and a few other short ones on request. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgLrZ7Vfk5MCan also be found on: Here on the S.T.E.P.!: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_O...ial_Videos Skyrim G.E.M.S.: https://skyrimgems.com/utilities.html My little hole in the Skyrim Nexus: https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31499//?
  11. Well? What do yall think? I would appreciate any sort of feedback you can provide for me. I will open up some topic specific threads, but for now go ahead and throw at me anything you can.
  12. While these tutorials are somewhat outdated, at their core they still provide any information necessary for installation and usage of Mod Organizer. Many things have changed since these were created, but these should still be a big help to get most anyone on their way to using Mod Organizer like a pro. 13. Hi there. My name is Mark. For those of you that don't know me, I'm the creator of a series of in depth tutorial videos to cover everything I can about Mod Organizer. This ranges from installation, using mod organizer, and some general troubleshooting. These tutorials are directed towards users of all levels, from the beginner to the more experienced mod users. Feel free to watch my tutorials as you like, take what you can from them, and let me know what's what. Enjoy! :D
  14. hmm......sounds like it'd be easy enough to experiment with.
  15. not a clue how to work on CSS or qss :p wouldn't mind learning how though, I've got a black and red theme that's calling out to me right now.
  16. that actually doesn't look too bad if i'm seeing it correctly. a nice medium between default (too bright/white for some) and dark (too dark for others) i'm kinda curious how you're making those styles, didn't realize that was something we could play with. it's pulling at my artistic strings.
  17. so skybash is still in the beta stages, but attempts to accomplish a little extra more than what wryebash does with its bashed patches? and yeah I agree that while a bash functionality for MO would be interesting, I fully support just letting MO using an external program for it as the outcome will be the same without putting extra work load on Tannin and also keeping the core of MO strong and doing what it is intended to do.
  18. hmm, MO with a bash patch like feature would be extremely interesting to dig into. anyway, I look forward to seeing more activity here on MO S.T.E.P. I won't always be active myself but I'll try my best to pop in and yowl at yall a few days out of the week! (work and all...)
  19. i'm personally all for the idea of just pointing the optimizer to the specific textures that need optimization, and doing it one mod at a time. takes longer but this way you have better control over the stuff that really NEEDS it and also won't accidentally optimize or compress textures that will make everything look funny (such as compressed skin textures, BAD IDEA)
  20. sorry i was not completely coherent when i made my last post. I have not been feeling well lately (and I will probably be updating that video i linked to add some more details to it) yes, if it has a plugin marked mergeable it merges the plugin into the bashed patch, just as Orangehood states. sorry, disregard my previous post. I admit I was only half sane when i wrote it.
  21. disregard, i was not fully sane when i wrote it so while my post was correct in a functional way, it was not the most efficient manner. read my next post on the matter.
  22. I'm actually in agreement with several here on the fact that for Skyrim there is no need to unpack BSA files unless you just want to micromanage the files to clean up any incompatibilities. Honestly to unpack everything just takes up more hard drive space than leaving it packed.
  23. What's up guys. I seem to have stumbled my way into a strange new world here..... Well, I can't say i'm the MO expert but by God I hope I can help from here on out! :D Feel free to trouble/annoy/bug me if anything comes up such as a mistake in one of my videos, or something needs covering tutorial wise.
  24. try this video: and if WB tells you not to merge a mod into the patch, then yeah uncheck it. and then activate the mod again when the bashed patch is finished.
