Fantomax Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Um.. 2K for clothing? Is it a bit 'overkill'? I once used INPCC with full 1K textures and I don't encounter any stretching issues.
TechAngel85 Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Um.. 2K for clothing? Is it a bit 'overkill'? I once used INPCC with full 1K textures and I don't encounter any stretching issues. Most of the HRDLC is 2K for armors and clothing, so no, I don't think 2K is "overkill".
Gamwich Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 If you compared the 4K version to the 2K version you wouldn't think it was overkill either. No, that's not a joke. It's all a matter of what's important to the individual modder, and the capabilities of the computer that they are running the game on. Some people care a lot about graphics and appearance, and some people only care about gameplay. That's the great thing about Skyrim... there are mod authors who cater to all tastes. 2
Shadriss Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I prob'ly missed it... but if I understand your descrip page correctly, Gamwich, the HF retexs are now done then, as you've started on DG?
Gamwich Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 (edited) Yes, Hearthfires clothing only consists of the Children clothes variants. Not a lot to that DLC as far as clothing is concerned. Dawnguard clothing consists of 4 folder, 3 of which I've done, and that's what I put up yesterday.... Blind Moth Priest, Bloody Prisoner, and Vampire Simple Clothes (AKA Bloody Clothes). The leather "armor" clothing for vampires is what's remaining for that DLC. Edited July 23, 2016 by Gamwich
TechAngel85 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Okay everyone, with this one changing and having lighter clothing now lets do another round of voting. I've played with it installed for 15 levels now and can recommend it for Core. My vote is for Core inclusion.
Gamwich Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Someone was kind enough to make another video review of my textures: https://youtu.be/KZQf80Y69b4
SoonerMagicEE Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Someone was kind enough to make another video review of my textures: https://youtu.be/KZQf80Y69b4How much money did you pay her for that gushing review?
Greg Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I reinstalled all the latest clothing mods as well and so far I like the new colors from what I've seen running around Riverwood and Whiterun.
Gamwich Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 How much money did you pay her for that gushing review? Frankly, I don't know who she is..... I know that comes as a bit of a shock.
Shadriss Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 I'm with Tech on this one - the quality difference between Gam's textures and the original and HRDLC versions simply defies words. They look right in game, they don't stick out in any way that I've seen, and I simply can't go back to the old ugly. Core to the bone.
Nebulous112 Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 I think I already voted, but I have been playing with these for a while and love them. I also vote for Core.
Gamwich Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 The Dawnguard DLC clothing is now complete. There's only the Dragonborn DLC left to do now.
