Harpalus Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) I think this mod is best suited for Extended, rather than for Core. I don't really understand the comments minimizing the "flying on death" bug: I find it to be quite noticeable and not particularly immersive.. I don't understand the logic that a bug is unimportant just because it occurs after character death, and dying in Skyrim can be quite common even with a simple change to the difficulty slider. It's certainly fairly common with some of the STEP Packs installed. There are many mods that have been dropped from testing due to less noticeable/less common bugs than this one, and several mods (including recent ones) that fix issues that occur less commonly than character death. I vote against the mod being included at all, but I'm outvoted. To me, the benefit of seeing my feet is just not worth the silly death effect. Edited March 23, 2015 by Harpalus
DoubleYou Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 To me the main argument for this mod is I am not restricted to 3rd POV when in Werewolf, vampire, or on horseback. Sometimes that is useful.

EssArrBee Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I also like the 1st person crafting stations as a big plus.Yep, but it's also something that can be adjusted in the INI, which is awesome. Also, the death bug may be INI related. bFirstPersonDeath=1 could be changed.

If setting bFirstPersonDeath=0 fixes this issue then I agree that this should be STEP Core (with that setting recommended). I do like this mod, I just found that particular bug very annoying. dreadflopp Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I have packs (mmo) installed that make me die too often. I am currently working on rebalancing that. Even so, it is an annoying bug when you survive some arrow shots and that last one that kills you gets you flying a hundred meters. I vote core though if we can prevent this or turn off the death cam like Neovalen suggested.

EssArrBee Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 We can pretty much leave info for all the settings if we want. Right now I recommend turning off the head bobbing, I know it's real-ish, but it's headache inducing. Then just mention the other settings like first person crafting, death, killmoves, sitting, riding, and werewolf.
afonik Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 After some more testing I'm now quite certain that's more a "flying on knockdown" rather than "flying on death"
oqhansoloqo Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 In the mod author's own Nexus description tab, he says that one of the "Known Issues" is "Going into ragdoll mode when weapons are out causes you to be launched into the air." So did he already describe it perfectly as it is, or is his description incorrect (i.e. what happens if you put your weapon away [in other words - go out of combat mode] and get hit with a knockdown then - does it still cause the issue?)?

It still causes the issue. It's not combat mode related. It's first person related. I don't have that issue in 3rd view. Unfortunately I always play in 1st person mode. I would really love a fix but I'll continue using it until that day arrives
Nozzer66 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I always use 1st person too, so that's why this misbehaves then. Interesting.
