peppergomez Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I've been noticing that very few sellers seem to be selling lockpicks. I don't recall them being so scarce in the vanilla Skyrim game. I'm playing STEP Extended. Makes it difficult to plunder loot when I can't find lockpicks in the inventory of most merchants.
EssArrBee Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Yeah, they should probably be crafted. I think one ingot = 10 lockpicks. Pretty good deal.
Kelmych Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 The vendors that accept stolen goods typically have them.
redirishlord Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I regularly find lockpicks at the Riverwood Trader and Belethor's, and that's with Stealth Skills Rebalanced by Kryptopyr installed (which makes them more rare). BTW SSR allows crafting of lockpicks (with the appropriate perk from the Lockpicking skill tree).
Nearox Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 There's a great mod for lockpicking which will save you some frsutration and some lockpicks without changing any game mechanics: Easier Lockpicking without Cheating by Gamwich
DoubleYou Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I always have a surplus of lockpicks. Maybe its all the lockpicks I pickpocket.
Glanzer Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 (edited) I installed a mod that removes the lockpicks from all vendors and made them rare on NPCs. I still have like 150 lockpicks. :-( I guess I kill a lot of bandits. Edited July 16, 2014 by Glanzer
DanielCoffey Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 There are mods that introduce crafting recipes to make your own too.
TechAngel85 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 ~ + player.additem a 100 = 100 lockpicks!
