More people = more fun. Now there is a statement that history doesn't support. Gaming or otherwise. Multiplayer is fun, but it hits point of diminishing returns and adding another person doesn't increase the fun at all. Some of the best experiences of gaming with other people are done on the couch playing through a great single player story. And of course I remember arcades, they were fun not because of the being massively mutliplayer, but because they were 1v1, like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. (Oh man those were the days, the arcade was next to a walmart so I would go rip out the pages of magazines for all the moves then go kick everyones ass and eat pizza) I also remember the 100+ person matches I used to play of Unreal and Quake Arena on private servers. Yeah, I was in a clan, so what. The thing is that those matches weren't fun at all, I had much more fun doing the 8v8 or 4v4 matches in tiny maps playing CS or Pain Killer.

You missed my point. You are trying to blame mmo's for "f2p and microtransactions" when that is a place where video games got popular in the first place. In fact coin ops were generally far more perverse in the ways they would use to separate you from your cash than most of todays methods. If you want to blame the industry at large for "going back to the well" then convince the great gaming majority that it doesn't need $100m titles to be "worthwhile".

Similarly, while you may be a lone wolf, I am not. I am very much a social gamer. My fondest memories come from sitting around a table with 4 others playing Shadowrun, or the days before Xbox Live and running cat5 between apartments for 8v8 Halo matches right up into 40 man vanilla WoW raids. I agree that bigger isn't better, nor do I believe that all games should be inherently multiplayer, but attempting to blame a facet of the industry for certain things when it just flat isn't true is not ok. If Fallout and Skyrim didn't have the admittedly garbage follower systems that they do I would not enjoy them anywhere near as much. The original Halo is still my favorite shooter entirely because you weren't a lone gunman, you had Cortana along for the ride. I have said it on many forums, but one of the biggest features I want for Fallout 4 is drop in co-op to replace followers. I would love to be able to do Fallout with my roomate or Girlfriend.

The Arena Commander dogfighting alpha module Is released, was my point. You could be playing it now.

I meant as actual feature complete game. You know, that super awesome amazeballs game that has everything and the kitchen sink for 1/3 the price of other games on the market? As I said, I remain skeptical.

Very good modlist. ::): But I'm missing the BOSS Userlist recommendation.

Could you be more specific? I am testing LOOT which doesn't need that type of stuff and haven't looked at BOSS' user list yet.

NVM, I know what you mean know. It has just been a while since I used BOSS. I'll get on that and add recommendations as soon as I get some coffee inside me.

NMC has uploaded a new patch. Do we need it?

Don't know yet. Thank you bringing it to my attention. When I get to a computer instead a phone I'll let you know.

Yes, for the love of god, install that patch. Every time I go into the Dino Bite, I murder Cliff because of those ugly holes in the roof.

EDIT: So there is 7 unrecognized plugins by BOSS. I will do these in a bit for people that need them, sorry that I forgot about that part.

In regards to NMC's extra files, there are a couple in there that I found to be useful which you don't mention in the F&L guide.  I found the Red_Wood_And_Burnt_Fence_Clash_Fix to make some seriously AWFUL-looking fences look ok.  I also installed the 16-9 Ratio Main screen for NMCs Texture Pack because the Main Menu background for the game was distorted on my 16:9 widescreen monitor in 1920x1080 resolution prior to using it.

I'll actually go ahead and update the BOSS masterlist with the unreconized plugins. As for LOOT, I may do some work there too, but most of it will be to try and go through the backlog of BOSS commits I've done earlier for the list, and picking out which ones are valid to convert over (usually the ones that involve explicit "load after/before" conditions, or new Bash Tags).

Don't forget REfill Water Bottles (KFE - Refill Water Bottles.esp). Waiting to here back from author about a PN patch.

Outstanding, great thanks for this!

I'll look at that fence fix, but I don't remember needed it. Same for the 16-9 screen. I use 1920x1080 and 1366x768 and neither has the that issue. I guess I'll make a note about using that file if there are problems with the main menu.

And, also, there are definite updates to make for the Python dependencies. It's better to link to the more recent versions of stuff anyway, unless there is a special case not to:

[*]Python 2.7.7 - notably, the 64-bit version CANNOT be used, or else Wrye Flash, when launched through Mod Organizer, will not reconize mods installed by Mod Organizer (due to a MO limitation)

[*]wxPython 2.8.12.1 - this is the last version of wxPython that can be used with Wrye Flash as of now, otherwise Flash complains about a invalid color pallete being used, and doesn't load properly. (Let Sharlikran know about this issue)

    [*]comtypes is up to date

    [*]pywin32 219

 Well, it seems I have a problem with FNV 4gb now. When I start it in ModOrganizer, it fails to start. Error: Failed to write to memory of child process. Access denied. I saw an tip here on the forum to add an argument to the 4gb shortcut in ModOrganizer "-laaexe .FalloutMO.exe". But that tip doesn't work. I'm using Windows 8.1. Help!

I have to say thay I'm not too much of a fan of JIP realistic weapon overheating and JIP selective fire. I believe they aren't lore-friendly and they add something which isn't that important(especially the overheating one). The same doens't apply for JIP CC&C. :p Will you add it in the guide?

Go back and add it again. MO likes to not save things some times

You mean basic weapon functions aren't lore friendly? As for the over heating its just to add an extra challenge. Spraying with an LMG isn't to hard.
