I just finished exploring Vault 11. Ending of this Vault was hilarious and well done. I was laughing so hard, and then died 5 times afterward.

Nice.   darkside's screenshot thread wants your love. ;)

I was sad about the Vault story as well. I was laughing about how the dungeon end.

It's a pretty cool vault. The sadly ironic ending was also very Fallout-like.

[spoiler=Spoiler]It's even better with Project Nevada because of the awesome Vault-Tec Power Armor. :)

EDIT: Hid spoiler, as Hackerpcs suggested.

After installing the Uncut Wasteland mod by Sandbox6, I find that I need to use the optional file fix he has for the utility poles or they seem to act buggy. Would it be safe to include it in the merge file?

Thanks in advance

It's strange everytime I walk away Vegas pulls me back in.

Thinking about it oblivion may have been my first Bethesda game and fo3 the one with the most but nv is closest to my heart.

To be honest it made me realize my California nationalism.

I played around with the retexture mod "OJO BUENO NUKA-COLA MACHINE"
Tested Version 5 and it dropped my framerate ~15 fps, which also was mentioned in the F&L guide.

I kinda found a little workaround, so you can use the retexture.

Option A:
Use one of the old versions (V4) you can find in the download section of the mod.

Option B:
Use the newest version (V5) BUT delete / untick / deactivate the installed .esp it comes with. Taploks, the maker of the mod, added a destruction mode with version 5, so you can shoot up a nuka cola machine and it gets destroyed and explodes. This causes the framedrop.

The newest version uses a slightly different texture (the colour is kinda darker, but just a bit, check out the screenshots)

Maybe someone else could try it out and give some feedback if my test were correctly. After that you guys could add a note to the guide.

I am using it as only texture replacer as well (vendingmachine.dds, vendingmachine_n.dds, vendingmachine_g.dds). New meshes dropped my FPS significantly ~ 10 FPS.

Maybe it has to do with the script included for the explosion effects? I haven't had any issues with it and I have a less powerful GPU than darkside, though I do have a very powerful CPU and I know these console-optimized games often are much more CPU heavy than they should be. Will have to look into making a more detailed note about performance alternatives after Easter as I'll be away from my computer for a while, which is good, as I need to clear out some room in the basement of my brain.

I spent 1 hour testing it a few weeks ago. The problem is not the script. Mesh is the problem for some reason. I got FPS drop when using both mesh and texture with or without esp (script). Texture alone has no effect on FPS even with 4K resolution. Texture alone looks great. New mesh actually adds very little visual improvement in my opinion, except you can blow the machine up.
