Hey Ess do you have a copy of the Generate Bash Tag Script or know where I can get the latest version? The one linked in the guide via Mega is now broken.

What's the current workaround for getting the GECK to work with MO? I haven't done it in so long that I've forgotten how I used to get working.

Yeah. I updated the guide. Also, my copy is old, but my copy isn't the latest. You can get the latest from fireduh's Github page. You'll need to get the dubhfunctions.pas from the lib folder and the Generate Tags for Wrye Bash.pas from the all folder.

Trentosaurus is easily the best weapon maker still making stuff for FNV IMHO. The guy who made the Mossberg is pretty good too, but he's lazy with the wear patterns and only uses a splash brush, as far as I can tell, to get some semi-random marking.

exiled111 has also made some stuff, but his normals are pretty weird/messed up (at least on the his last pistol) and his metals could use some work (they look more grey than metallic). Still, depends on where you set the line quality wise, and might still be worth checking out.

I can't get G.E.C.K to launch with all the mods in F&L, Ess. So I've made a project profile where I only enable the mods I'm working on, and it launches without any specific settings.

I'm going to try to stop the framerate issue in the with Crossbow of the Watseland by moving the ref actor used for the problem script to an isolated part of the map.

I think that worked. I move the Container and Actor that are there in Goodsprings to an obscure place on the map. My FPS was <30 with the old version and 60 with after I moved those objects. The area where I moved the container and actor to may have an FPS drop, but they are way out against the edge of the map somewhere, so I don't think that matters as much as Goodsprings.

Now I just need some people to try it out and see if it works.

Here's the file: https://mega.nz/#!sM5HwDQJ!AnQm5_JH7LugUjG1xyObAL5FFAzOgIFPz8sxBHLKl_s

It's just a plugin so you are gonna need to install manually. I'd stick in the MO/Overwrite folder, then start MO and make a mod out of that way you can enable disable the plugin to overwrite the original.

  1. Test game without plugin, notice FPS.
  2. Install old version and see if there is big drop.
  3. Install new version and see if FPS drop is gone.
  4. Report to Lord Bee.

Is there any specific spot where the drop in FPS occurs because I get a constant 60FPS with that mod installed.

Goodsprings. The two hidden objects are located next to the workbench.

So do I actually need the crossbow in my inventory? Or is it just enough to have the mod active?

EDIT:

I see no FPS drop with the vanilla plugin. Drawn or holstered. What's the story with this thing, I see the posts say there are massive drops but I can't trigger them.

A lot weapons are added by having a reference container. This mod has that plus a reference actor that is used in a script for the explosive bolts sitting right next to the workbench in Goodsprings. They are hidden from view, but many people experience framerate drops for reason. I got rid of mine by moving the container and actor to the end of the worldspace map.
