A new patcher that looks very interesting! It randomly diversifies the NPCs in game, changing height, eye textures, hair textures, body meshes and textures... It sounds amazing! Not sure how it works in practise though.
As per the mod page - main features are:
 


 


Option to set height ranges for the vanilla races. Every NPC will have a height in the range you define for that race. EBD comes with a predefined set of values, but you may change them to your liking. This feature is completely script free as all changes are done in the plugin (the .esp).
Option to distribute hair styles and eye colours among NPCs. This includes hair styles/eye colours added by mods. You can finally let all the NPCs in Skyrim benefit from ApachiiSkyHair and the like. The distribution works on a random basis but hair styles and eyes are only applied to the proper gender and race. This feature uses a script which itself is quite lightweight. However, especially the hair meshes might cause a slight stutter when loaded. There are several options to reduce that stutter.

Option to distribute textures and meshes among NPCs. This feature requires you to set up the meshes and textures as described below. It allows to see all those great texture (and mesh) mods in your game simultaneously. It also means that your player character textures will be unique (without the need of any custom races). This feature is mostly script free. However, it needs a very lightweight script to apply the face tints. The script and performance impact is barely noticeable though you should use texture resolutions not too demanding for your VRAM.

Option to have all females use female animations. You may have noticed that soldiers, bandits, Orcs and housecarls use male animations even when they are female. This feature will have all females use female animations. Best used on a new game as animations can't be changed for NPCs you've already encountered. Completely script free.

It's just an update to his old mod actually, I must say the texture packs handling has been drastically improved in this version though :)

RBS only handles the height, weight and meshes though, doesn't it?

I was using EBD for applying custom (lore friendly!) hairs and eyes for a while and never had any problem with it, it's just a SkyProc patcher that changes NPC records after all :)

So basically, this mod will be integrated in STEP no?

What can be more immersive than a big fat bartender drinking humansized pint?

Why am I not using this? Why isn't it in STEP Core, or at least extended?

It eliminates the need for Height Adjusted Races (or something like it) for those of us wanting Morrowind or Oblivion lore heights by race, and it eliminates the need for Feminine Females (or something like it) fixing the gender animations issue. Then there is the added bonus of mesh/texture variants, with no more complexity than the DSR patcher we already know and love.

Both EBD and RBS were kinda wonky when they came out, but they have had continued development for about 2 years now. I really like the RBS customization and that it uses SkyProc, so I don't have to patch anything for it, virtually making compatible with every body replacer. We might have to look at EBD for STEP when someone *cough* not me *cough* gets some time.

You don't need BOSS or LOOT support with SkyProc, just sort before you run the patcher and make sure the -noboss argument is there. Really easy to do with MO.

SUM.esp should always be the last thing on your list.. so you can just manually move it back down. 

Also before making a new one you should delete the old one to avoid random weird issues with the new one not wanting to be made because the old one have missing masters etc. 

 

LOOT have many weird issues imo.. but this is not one of them!

I'm having a bit of a problem getting EBD's patcher to successfully complete, it seems to be running out of memory. Does anyone know of a setting I can alter or other best practice to help. I've got a few texture packs & have selected most (if not all) of the features, but I keep hanging on patch export and get an out of memory error.

I tried running SUM to handle DSR & EBD, but SUM is ignoring my -noboss argument (which is weird because neither of the other two patchers are) so I'm not getting anywhere with it.
