Very handy and easy to use tool that one.

 

BTW, using this pack with Extended step looks sensational and there's next to no performance loss. Many thanks.

Sure:

 

In BUM:

 

RealisticNights+COT+DB+DG.esp AFTER CoT-WeatherPatch_ESS.esp

 

should do the trick provided everything else is g2g. Then after that just line the rest of the patches to load AFTER each other in order and you're golden.

I have a big suggestion at least to add as an optional file: Real Clouds 2

 

It looks fantastic, made to run with CoT, and the recent update to v2 has made it to where I haven't seen any of the initial issues that the mod had. It really adds some dimension to the sky, I have never noticed a performance hit, and for this pack I think it really helps.

I have to advise against Real Clouds. Buggy, dirty edits, and very inconsistent effects. If it works, on a good day, at the right angle, looks beautiful, but then things change and clouds look terrible. 

 

I'd like to figure out how to edit it down to the lightning, which does look really good, but happens much too frequently.

I take back what I said before Real Clouds is still buggy, even the 2.0 version.

I also got rid of RLO it made things to dark (as does ELFX).

I'm also giving up on ENBs for now.

I am still unable to get Realistic Nights to not show up red in Wrye Bash.

It shows red because it is dependent on certain mods being present. Click on the plugins in WB and check which masters are missing.

P.S. I like dark it is more realistic to me, as many of the building seem to have small dark windows which only allow a little light. I used to live in a house that was over 500 years old with zero neighbours and sure it could be bright in the day, but it didn't take much to make it darker. If there is no light source then it will be dark inside and the same applies outside which is the beauty of Realistic Nights.

Just a heads up. I did a quick check in TES5Edit today. The Audio overhaul skyrim - CoT patch seems to not be in the guide, but if people use it it looks like it should be loaded after the STEP patch. This needs to be confirmed.

I stopped using the CoT Sounds because it was producing a loud repetitive insect noise. If you don't use CoT sounds you don't need the patch.

I merged the newest Mods of all the Supporting COT stuff like Supreme storms and fog as well as lighting. it went without a hitch... but i am not sure if i should merge COT with it.

Do not merge the .esm with the patch .esp´s.. unless you are 100% sure you are not going to require any updates etc in the future.

Having come back to Skyrim modding, and specifically the Weather Pack, to update it to include RealisticNights, I, too, find that RealisticNights+COT+DB+DG.esp indicates missing masters in Wyre Bash.

Using B.U.M., I organized my load order as you suggested, but that did not solve the problem.

 

I also tried all combinations of RealisticNight Fmod install options, and all worked well except for RealisticNights+COT+DB+DG, AND RealisticNights+COT+DB, the latter of which could not find ClimatesOfTameriel.esm and dragonborn.esm.

In WyreBash, RealisticNights+COT+DB is the ONLY ONE which indicates that the CoT, DG and DB masters are missing.

 

If I ignore WB's warning and create the Bashed Patch, Skyrim loads and seemingly plays OK; it certainly does not CTD during startup which is what I would expect with missing masters.

 

Other than the following, I have no other mods installed:

1. STEP Core v2.2.8

2. STEP:Pack:Extended

3. STEP:Pack:Weather and Lighting [Weather ONLY so far]

4. Moon Phase Affects Brightness at Night (which I have confirmed does not affect the problem)

Do I just ignore WB's notice re missing masters, and move on to Lighting? ... or what?

The picture shown is orange which is not missing masters is just means that the master files are not in the order that the patch expects. Easy to fix - open the file in TES5Edit then right click on the file and then left click on "Sort masters" in the drop down menu - then close TES5Edit and save your file, making sure the left hand check box at the bottom (about making copies) is left unchecked (not the check box next to the file you just fixed of course).

My seeing RED instead of ORANGE didn't help much at all, I guess. :blush:

Finally, thanks! I still probably won't use it though, as my mod list is getting out of control. I think I'm running about 180 plugins with nearly 350 total mods with testure packs and all included. I do have another recommendation for you Smile44, Revamped Exterior Fog  which I found out about when looking over the new Somber 3 ENB. Although I gave up on ENB's I have put together some nice skyrim and skyrimpref inis that make my game look incredible without an enb preset (just boosting). I'll post them here in case anyone wants to take a look:
