WilliamImm Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Bethblog even says it. And only a day after STEP 2.2.3. Bet that's going to cause some problems. I'll think I'll backup my current installation. And get lots of request to update EBQO to support the new update/unofficial patches.
Neovalen Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Did Steam actually stop the auto update this time?
stoppingby4now Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Did Steam actually stop the auto update this time? The Automatic Updates setting set to "Do not..." was honored, as I did not get the new version. That's where it stops though, as attempting to launch the game caused Steam to mark Skyrim as needing an update. Half @$$ fix that still doesn't do us any good.
rpsgc Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Run Skyrim with the SKSE loader instead of the launcher? Problem solved.
Ezekiel33 Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 man will I ever be able to play this game one day! I got the impression that all I'm doing is troubleshoot and updates lol! Can't wait to start a fresh character and finally enjoy the game!! ;)
Kelmych Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 TES5Edit version 3.0.29 came out today and the Nexus description says it works only with Skyrim 1.8Â . However, the official TES5Edit thread says that it can be used with Skyrim 1.9 .
TechAngel85 Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 man will I ever be able to play this game one day! I got the impression that all I'm doing is troubleshoot and updates lol! Can't wait to start a fresh character and finally enjoy the game!! ;) Most of the STEP staff never gets to play the game for enjoyment. Thank god my build is locked down. I know, right! Mine is too!
PioneerRaptor Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I'm not using any of the graphical mods, but I'm using all of the script mods, animation & effect mods, gameplay mods and fixes with the 1.9 update and have had no issues.
Sairven Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 That's good to hear, Pioneer. I kinda want to play around with 1.9. :D
TenorMadness Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 1.9 broke my install. Yay! It doesn't help that mod organizer decided to break at the same time.
Mathrian Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 In regards to this new update, I was in the process of downloading and installing the mods from the latest STEP. Upon finding that the Skyrim Unofficial patch is for 1.9 only and the guide is for 1.8 I realized there was an issue. I was then concerned and checked the version number on Skyrim and it was suddenly made aware that Skyrim had updated to 1.9. Anyway does anyone know how exactly I can go back to 1.8 or any place I can get 1.8 files that isn't from a cracked version? I've loved how well STEP works since its first few versions and after a hiatus from Skyrim I was hoping to update everything. Anyway, thank you for your all of your work. You guys are wonderful and I really hope you can help me out. :)

Try out the search function.Long story short: Unless you have a full 1.8 backup it is not possible to revert to 1.8 from 1.9.
Farlo Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 As many others have reported, I've been using v1.9 with no issues that I can attribute to the update itself. Just stay on top of the individual mod updates and you should be fine with the new version. If you do find any bugs or errors related to v1.9 please report them on the Bug Reports thread.
