TechAngel85 Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Discussion topic: NPC AI Process Position Fix - SSE by maxsu2017 Wiki Link Dropped for v2 since it doesn't support game version 1.6+.
z929669 Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 Looks like a winner if it actually works. Looks like it does by the comments ... one bug reported only, but I don't trust the report as a real issue with this mod. I will add it to my setup. Not sure if any of our other AI related mods in STEP (besides "AI Overhaul SSE", which should be compatible, according to the author) conflict with the compat notes in the description. EDIT: I'm in no position to test it specifically though, since I don't really have any test case in my setup and game-play behavior (load game, check out models/textures, take screens ... :D)
Greg Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 I installed it last night and haven't noticed anything unexpected yet.
Eliian Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 Reminds me of closing time, which the mod author mentions. I am totally up for a more updated and better working version.
Miko19 Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 File requires manual configuration for AI Overhaul from STEP, although it is very easy to do as per the author's instructions:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/articles/2463 IE you need to create a file called AIProcessFixModPatch.ini in the same folder where the AIProcessFixModSettings.ini are and paste the into the file:[ModName] CurrentAIModName = AI Overhaul.esp ;The Esp plugin Name of the current running AI Overhaul Mod.

A patch is needed for Immersive Citizens and maybe other mods that operate the same way. According to the description on the mod page "Fully Compatible with: Fully compatible with AI Overhaul SSE or any AI Overhaul Mod that doesn't include any AI Package added by "Quest Alias".

You are correct. AI Overhaul does not include any additional quest aliases.

I don't recall this part of the description from when I've posted my original comment, good to hear it's compatible out of the box.
ButchDiavolo Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 I am guessing this mod is no longer relevant when moving forward to an Skyrim AE setup? The mod author specifically bans conversions to AE and apparently won't be updating his/ her mods to AE. [source: Nexus Profile]
DoubleYou Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 It would appear the mod author expects everyone to downgrade to the old executable in order to use his mod, as he notes changes to make it work with survival mode, but not on the AE executable. So yes, it does appear this will be dropped for 2.0.0.
TechAngel85 Posted December 28, 2021 Author Posted December 28, 2021 Well, you can still purchase SE separately from AE for now (which is weird). I've seen several places where this is available, including Game Pass. Doesn't make any sense to me... Until they stop that some authors are going to have some incentive to stay with SE. Given the information, we can go ahead and drop this one. Seconded?

Expand o.O That is just... bizarre? And I second it of course, since I brought it up. Edited December 28, 2021 by ButchDiavolo
Greg Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Unless I'm terribly misguided, I expect both of these to have Skyrim Special Edition.exe version 1.6.342. The difference should be that Anniversary Edition includes all of the extraneous CC content and Special Edition includes only the base CC content (Saints and Seducers, Survival Mode, and Fishing). At least this is how it's working out on Steam with the notable exception that Steam also offers a Skyrim Anniversary Edition Update to purchase all of the extraneous CC content. I vote to drop this one as well. We can always reconsider if the MA decides to support 1.6.342.

TechAngel85 Posted December 28, 2021 Author Posted December 28, 2021 I've contacted the author to see if they're even aware of the fact they're cutting off a large portion of potential users by their decision. I don't think some have even had the thought that they are basically retiring their mods that they refuse to update to support v1.6+.
