Looks like a winner if it actually works. Looks like it does by the comments ... one bug reported only, but I don't trust the report as a real issue with this mod.

I will add it to my setup.

Not sure if any of our other AI related mods in STEP (besides "AI Overhaul SSE", which should be compatible, according to the author) conflict with the compat notes in the description.

EDIT: I'm in no position to test it specifically though, since I don't really have any test case in my setup and game-play behavior (load game, check out models/textures, take screens ... :D)

File requires manual configuration for AI Overhaul from STEP, although it is very easy to do as per the author's instructions:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/articles/2463

IE you need to create a file called AIProcessFixModPatch.ini in the same folder where the AIProcessFixModSettings.ini are and paste the into the file:

[ModName]

CurrentAIModName = AI Overhaul.esp
;The Esp plugin Name of the current running AI Overhaul Mod.

I don't think this is true. A patch is needed for Immersive Citizens and maybe other mods that operate the same way.

According to the description on the mod page "Fully Compatible with:

Fully compatible with AI Overhaul SSE or any AI Overhaul Mod that doesn't include any AI Package added by "Quest Alias".

I hadn't looked before, but I just did. You are correct. AI Overhaul does not include any additional quest aliases.

Huh, nice. I don't recall this part of the description from when I've posted my original comment, good to hear it's compatible out of the box.

It would appear the mod author expects everyone to downgrade to the old executable in order to use his mod, as he notes changes to make it work with survival mode, but not on the AE executable. So yes, it does appear this will be dropped for 2.0.0.

Well, you can still purchase SE separately from AE for now (which is weird). I've seen several places where this is available, including Game Pass. Doesn't make any sense to me... Until they stop that some authors are going to have some incentive to stay with SE.

Given the information, we can go ahead and drop this one. Seconded?

o.O That is just... bizarre?

And I second it of course, since I brought it up.

Unless I'm terribly misguided, I expect both of these to have Skyrim Special Edition.exe version 1.6.342. The difference should be that Anniversary Edition includes all of the extraneous CC content and Special Edition includes only the base CC content (Saints and Seducers, Survival Mode, and Fishing). At least this is how it's working out on Steam with the notable exception that Steam also offers a Skyrim Anniversary Edition Update to purchase all of the extraneous CC content.

I  vote to drop this one as well. We can always reconsider if the MA decides to support 1.6.342.

That is true. I wonder if they've even realized.

I've contacted the author to see if they're even aware of the fact they're cutting off a large portion of potential users by their decision. I don't think some have even had the thought that they are basically retiring their mods that they refuse to update to support v1.6+.
