rootsrat Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Discussion thread:Dead Body Collision by LargeStyleWiki LinkAll dead bodies are now solid and can collide with yourself and other NPCs - no more walking straight through corpses. This applies to all characters so you can collide / stand on / stack up any corpses within Skyrim (yes even including dragons, giants, mammoths etc.) This should result in a more realistic and immersive experience!Makes sense, no?
Neovalen Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I added this mod to my guide a few days ago... like it a lot. Sometimes annoying with dragon bones but otherwise makes sense.
Besidilo Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 I think this mod should definitely find it's place in STEP 2.2.2 or 2.3 (whatever it's called). It's great from what I've seen and any potential conflicts have been ironed out by now (except for the dragons' bones issue).
justjr Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 I love to kick corpses miles away! LOL not that much, but they do fly! You can kick em out a cliff, will be great to have a kick button for that, LOL.
z929669 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Has anyone played much with this? Neovalen mentions dragon bones .... can you be more specific? Anything else?
Neovalen Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Dragon bones are large and cannot be moved by the player clicking on them. Therefore if they happen to die on a road or in the way of pathing NPCs... they may become stuck until the body rots away. NPC pathing is the reason they have the corpse disintegration spell as well for normal corpses (imagine a wall of corpses blocking NPC pathing), unfortunately it doesn't work for Dragon Bones (Bethesda uses some sort of special object type for dragon bones). Thats the only negative to this otherwise amazing add-on that should have been in game from the start.
z929669 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 OK, then I vote for its inclusion. I'd like a second opinion though from Farlo, s4n, Monty or TC though. ... Neo, would you create the mod page on the wiki or flesh out all of the missing info if already created? mentioning the dragon bones in the notes would be nice too (do they really rot away?).
Besidilo Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 It actually makes sense for the dragon bones to be too heavy to move for the player. Whether it's realistic that they just disappear at some point is another matter.

If I get a chance... It actually makes sense for the dragon bones to be too heavy to move for the player. Whether it's realistic that they just disappear at some point is another matter. Not arguing that them being heavy is bad... just a fact that NPCs are not smart enough pathing to go around them. Bodies go away when the cell containing them is reset. Both regular and Dragon.
Farlo Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 This weekend I might actually be able to test stuff, but I approve of the idea at least. I'll try to make all the mod pages later tonight if no one beats me to it.
torminater Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Well I can approve this mod to work as intended - glitches are imminent, but not too bad. Getting stuck under a dragon can suck though... :D It's tcl time!!!
