Tyler799
Hey there! I tried to disable shadows using spINI, but it didn't work: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/4pn8pr/i_chose_disable_shadows_with_spini_but_shadows/ How do I fix it? DoubleYou
Please post your ini files. It is possible that it doesn't work for all graphics cards.
Tyler799
Please post your ini files. It is possible that it doesn't work for all graphics cards.Thanks. Here's my Skyrim.ini: https://pastebin.com/SEZfJvLc Here's my SkyrimPrefs.ini: https://pastebin.com/4zbAAwaw I'm using Mod Organizer, if that matters. My card is an Nvidia 755m, latest drivers. If I need to change a setting or two in the Nvidia control panel I'll gladly do so.
DoubleYou
fShadowDistance should be 0 and iShadowMapResolution should be 1 if shadows are set to disabled. Either I broke this sometime or you somehow changed these. If you changed these, that's the problem. If not, lemme look at my code and see how this can happen. However, since that's the issue, I'll using the MO configurator to change those two. Thanks.
DoubleYou
Ok, I checked my code, and I now realize I had already caught this error and fixed it in my current build. Thanks for reporting. I think some of the minor bugs are creeping up enough to finally update this mod. Beta seems stable. I plan, however, time permitting, to release on July 1. DoubleYou
Decided to strip my current build of the beta features for other games and upload what probably will be the final version for this app. Version 2.6-Bugfix: Corrected incorrect fFlickeringLightDistance default value.-Bugfix: If the INI files were set to read-only, they couldn't be modified. Read-only files are automatically made writeable during the backup process.-Bugfix: Duplicate settings are now automatically removed.-Bugfix: Fixed ''Remove Shadows'' setting not working.-Changed "Intro Video" to "Intro Logos"-Removed Terrain Fade-In since it really is not a setting one would want to enable in any known circumstances.-Added ability to toggle the ''Intro Music'' under ''General''-Added ability to toggle the ''Background Load Scripting VM''. It is recommended to be enabled after preliminary testing results showing no adverse side effects.-Added ''Mouse Wheel Zoom Speed'' setting to the Mouse settings under Interface.-Added ''Particles'' under Detail.-Added Sun-Shadow settings under Detail.-Changed positioning of various GUI elements.-Increased slider length for Actor, Item, and Object fade distances from 15 to 30.-Increased slider length for Grass Fade distance from 15000 to 18000-Decreased slider length for Level 16 distant object detail from 500000 to 250000-Swapped positions of ''ENB Mode'' and ''Enable File Selection'' checkboxes.-Added Arrow and Bolt tweak settings to ''Gameplay''-Improved spINI presets slightly.-Papyrus settings are no longer changed when changing presets.-The Archive Invalidation settings for all games except Fallout 4 shall now be automatically preserved.-Added code for support of Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 4. This code has been disabled in this build, as support for those games is currently beta.-Improved Video Card detection and removed the hacky method of finding it, as it has too many ways that it can throw nasty errors.-Improved Backup code and added support for backing up "Custom" INI files used by Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Skyrim.-Added support for restoring backed up "Custom" INI files used by Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Skyrim.-Some general code cleanup and optimization.-Lots of other fixes that I have forgotten about. Avastgard
Would it be OK to use spINI and Crash Fixes (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725/?)?
DoubleYou
Yes. They do completely different things.
Nebulous112
Hey DY, I'm wondering if you can add this to spINI: Skyrim.ini [Camera]Increase third-person zoom speedfMouseWheelZoomSpeed sets the transition speed when zooming in and out in third person mode. This also affects how fast the transition from first to third person occurs.fMouseWheelZoomSpeed=10 I think this is the only one of your recommended settings for STEP that doesn't have a setting in spINI. Either that, or I missed what the setting was in spINI. :-P Edit: Nevermind, I see it now. Right in front of my face. One thing though, I noticed that v2.6 no longer automatically changes Papyrus Post-Load Update time to 2000. Any reason why? I thought this was a good change. Allow scripts in a script-heavy load order time enough to execute. Slightly longer loading times, but far more upside than downside. But I admit I don't know very much about it. DoubleYou
I did this intentionally. I want to have the presets only modify graphics quality and have a separate checkmark for these other tweaks.
Fantomax
Any 32-bit support? I'm still using Win7 32-bit.
DoubleYou
I can do that. It's currently 64bit, but I can compile it in 32bit for you.
