Finished the installation, started the game, tried to save and crashed.

I read the topic and none of the "fixes" work.

Edit: After rebuilding the patch for the xth time it worked.

Glad you got it working.  Wish I could figure out that particular problem but it simply never happens for either Diana or myself..

The best advice I can give, (even though I know no one wants to hear it), is to start all over and follow the instructions PRECISELY. This is a HUGE guide, and several things might have been either unintentionally overlooked in the process of installation, or maybe even someone getting ahead of us (the editors)  before we had the chance to finalize the instructions.

While I try my best to advertise any changes made to this guide on this forum, I realize that some would rather not "fall back" to a "step" they have previously followed. Nevertheless, this is why we forewarn "under construction". You don't have to un-install any mods, but just make certain that all mods you have installed are EXACTLY as instructed. It is tedious, for sure, but this is why JD and I do not have the issues many of the users complain about.

When I open up Wrye bash to change masters it says the requiem-behind the curtain.esp is unrecognized. Is this normal? It's happened since the very first time I've tried installing this guide. I'm downloading it straight from the nexus, and it's the correct version.

Yes, this is normal for me as well. Those of us who are "perfectionists" don't like to see such warnings or any chaotic notifications from any program we allow to aid in our mod config and setup. We do not use LOOT, or a BASHED Patch. JD has already provided the necessary patches needed for "THIS" guide. If you choose to deviate from this guide with your own selections of mods or configs, then you will need to learn how to create your own patches.

I apologize if I sound a bit harsh, but I have tested this guide on the most "minimal" of a setup with my laptop. I am able to run this guide just fine. I am actually running this guide with "less than" the recommended setup. Therefore, when a user is experiencing a "real" bug or issue, my recommendation is to take a screenshot to submit on this forum, along with as much detail as they can provide regarding the captured of said issue.

I am not saying that the CTDs many users are experiencing are not "real", but rather that maybe the users should go back through the guide from the very beginning to the very end before they concede that the guide is flawed.

Hey guys so i have been taking a look at the ECTV install and the subsequent merge and I have a thought with regarding the blowing in the wind patches for ECTV would it not be easier just to pull blowing in the wind out of the Landscape and environment merge and create a separate Blowing in the wind merge that way no need fiddling about changing masters in Wrye bash or Xedit.

This is actually something I have been thinking about for awhile now.

also with regarding PCE - Palaces and Castles Enhanced why no USLEEP + CRF Patch is it taken care of in your CR?

if you make a separate merge with BW you would still need to change masters for the patches inside the ectv merge to the new merge.

you could merge BW with ECTV this way you wont need to change masters but you would need to either change master to Blowing in the Wind - SMIM Merged All Patch.esp which is still inside LECM merge or pull in the same ECTV merge SMIM and its BW patch aswell. Be aware of the order of mods.

PS if you merge ECTV you need to regenerate NAVI. It's important.

PCE patch is in CR.

SMIM is not an issue for me as I don't merge it.

Does your provided replacer ECTV merge not deal with navmeshes or is that only for you guide and I would need to regenerate for my guide? if so then I guess I will have to finally get off my butt and learn how to do it.

here's a tutorial for regeneratin navi it's quite easy.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13608/?tab=5&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D13608%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D1775296

The merge provided in the guide is for those exact mods. If you deviate you can't use the replacement and you need to make the LECM merge since it's dependant. Also the mods used dont conflict with navmeshes and where they do they got patches. Also the mods used in Requiem guide are fewer than the list i posted.

Just a query - I've googled and searched this thread, but I don't see the reasoning on switching from Atlas to map markers, just the suggestion it be made. Can I get the reasoning behind that please?

not game breaking or anything but def weird, my characters body textures don't properly align with her mesh, specifically her nipples... so it looks like she has 4 of them. I'm using the NPC retexture from the guide as is, with no other textures or meshes. what could be causing it?

Something you've installed must be changing the body meshes for females and overwriting WICO.  There's not really any other explanation that I can think of. :(

Fairly easy to test, just disable everything except npc retextures and the master files.

Been working with Paul on an SSE load out.. it's finally starting to come together.  Decent shot of part of solitude harbor:

I liked the simplicity of map markers complete and never used any of the advanced fatures of atlas so I just swapped it out when doing the update.  You could still use atlas if you wanted to just make sure to resolve the world record conflicts for blackreach and... whatever that other one it touches is.
