Darth_mathias Posted July 13, 2016 Author Posted July 13, 2016 i dropped it. It isnt that well put together... scripts are a bit bugged and getting you stuck in many places. The art style is interesting and the concept but maybe if there were some updates i could keep it.ok by the looks of it we could actually drop as it looks there is no patch for LoTD for Molag bals inferno.
paul666root Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) we should leave it for extended. There are plenty of new additions and should check those Edited July 13, 2016 by paul666root
nappilydeestruction Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) That would be cool. I'd like to see something that Skyrim Child (I think that's what it was called but Nexus is down atm) tried to do. Have the kids look like their parents. It even added orc children, and I'd like to see Forsworn children in the mix. THAT would be something to bother with a thousand patches for. The author of Skyrim Child hit a wall in its development and quit. I believe the he left it for anyone else to work on, btw. Shame though. Kids don't have to look pretty, imo. It's overrated. That's another reason I didn't opt for all of the NPC texture replacers and went with something more in line with what I think fits in better with the game's setting. I like real. I get sick of watching movies and playing games that promote the unreasonable standards we call beauty. I'd rather have depth in a character, not superficiality. Anyway, to each their own. I'll quit ranting now. lol...I think those are fantastic ideas. I like to see some children in bandit camps too. Not all children are good little angels, lol. Honestly sometimes I think RS children are too "perfect" looking and they all look the same. No variety at all. Just clones of one another. That's the gripe I do have with RS which is why I am planning on making my own childrens mod. I want to include beast too since they got no love at all from other children's mods. To me I love children to have realistic features and some variety, maybe some scars or something or even something that tells a story about that child. I'm actually next year working on a new project of enhancing the vanilla races with my own new race overhaul that includes, new body for both male and female and other npcs, new children player races and npcs, playable teen races and npcs for all including beast race. Basically its going to be a pretty big mod. But I will need to experiment with the 3d programs like Maya, Max or Blender. I'm thinking of using Maya, since I love some of the features for character modeling. Edited July 13, 2016 by nappilydeestruction
paul666root Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 this sounds interesting. If we're still on Skyrim when this comes out (haha what am i saying i'll die with the MO in my face) then i'll sure be looking at your work.
dunc001 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 @ND - Love the sound of what you're planning, I sincerely hope you are able to see it through. How about kids fighting in the street, stealing stuff, etc! And yes to the races overhaul - need something coherent on that front. @Paul - I'm with you there!
Darth_mathias Posted July 13, 2016 Author Posted July 13, 2016 ok made my final decision I am dropping MBI for this Legacy Build with that I am done for to night smell you later.
Whetstone Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 ok made my final decision I am dropping MBI for this Legacy Build with that I am done for to night smell you later.Sounds good. I have a terrible habit of trying to add everything to my build. For the guide we should probably stick to things that complement Legacy.
jdsmith2816 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 (edited) Are you planning on adding the BadGremlin mods? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63537/?https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69522/?https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62340/?https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25956/? They integrate with their own displays in the DBM and the CR work is mostly forwarding some USLEEP changes IIRC. Edited July 14, 2016 by jdsmith2816
InstantKor Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 It wouldn't be Legacy guide if all of the supported mods are not installed with this guide. Also its important to note that integrated mods are ones that are apart of the LoTD download such as book covers and moonpath. The BadGremlin mods are not integrated in but are supported by a smart patching systems that looks for the .esp filename and activates the corresponding displays for that mod.

I did not mean to imply they were part of DBM only that they are supported with displays and require minimal CR Sorry for the confusion
Nebulous112 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 +1 for as many supported mods as possible. This guide sounds like it'll be great, and I'm hoping for all the museum displays being available if you can swing it, Darth. :-)

I want to add depth into Skyrim, not just will adults but also with kids too. Well hopefully sometime next year will be the release. I will take my time of course as in my case I haven't played the game yet. It will be interesting tbh. I'm very excited about this project. :) Of course I'll be in college though but I will treat the project like a typical class project since I'm into programming in computers. I'm also planning on building my own guide as well which includes some tumblr mods, and the "L" site mods. Edited July 14, 2016 by nappilydeestruction

Just sayin.
Taverius Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Unfortunately RL has not let me test this as much as I would.I managed to tst it a further 1 hr and I really like what I see in-game.As said in my previous posts, I have never used RotE nor will I ever use. So I cannot compare the 2 mods. What I like from the little I have seen from AAE is that it is quite linear, concrete, and foes are not supernaturals. Nor having extreme magic powers and exotic shouts.Difficult yes, impossible no. This is my impression so far. Re the patches...I am in contact with sirjesto and we will be discussing abt them. From what I heard AAE is going to be updated shortly (do not know how shortly though), so most probably I will wait until it is released to talk with sirjesto more in-depth abt the patches.Oh, and on Sunday I am leaving for vacations for 15-20 days. So I do not think I might be able to even start looking at the mod before the first week of August. That sounds good - after a 2-year break coming from SkyRe, I find RotE fun and challenging but grating in how out there it is. Its a good mod and I'm sure many people like its style more, but I tested it and I'm not a fan of the feel - i get flashbacks from my dark days playing MMOs.
