Aiyen Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Guess testing it out is the best thing to do! Keeping a backup just in case then. About the quest... just get its ID and you can restart or finish it via console.
TechAngel85 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Updated!Version 1.31 Reviewed all scripts, removed any unnecessary checks and switch some numbers to values calculated on game load rather than per script instances. Improved heat detection script performance. Critters (rabbits, deer, skyBirds, etc.) classed as EncClassAnimalPrey are now completely ignored. Added an additional check to ensure the shelter detection feature was being dispelled properly. Improved traveler classification to reduce the appearance of Survival Gear on NPCs near settlements.Maybe you guys having issues will want to check out this version.

Now if only Real Shelter wasn't dead I'd be in heaven.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I just saved my file in qasmoke and swapped the versions. NO CTDs upon Startup and the carry bag I use from Wet & Cold is usable. No problem that I can see.
steveley Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 FYI - There is now a Performance Traveler Cloak Textures optional which drops the textures from 2k to 1k.
mikegray Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Have any of you people run into a bug where certain NPC head-coverings are invisible, leaving the NPCs in question bald?
TechAngel85 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Have any of you people run into a bug where certain NPC head-coverings are invisible, leaving the NPCs in question bald?Nope. It's got to be a conflict with a non-STEP mod or missing textures from Wet & Cold. I'd start by redownloading this mod and reinstalling it.
hishutup Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Actually, yes...I don't know what was causing it but it was annoying. Are you using any extra overhauls or extra mods? Edit: oops, I thought I click on the imoved closs faced helmets... the question. I guess still applies
oqhansoloqo Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) Wow - have you heard about this mod lately? If not - check the Nexus mod page. So much for waiting to add the new version of this mod (v2) to STEP. Edited April 23, 2015 by oqhansoloqo
EssArrBee Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 As long as there is a free version on the Nexus, I don't see any reason not to use it. v2 looked exciting, but we probably aren't going to be in the business of requiring paid mods for STEP. We only require official content that costs money.
TechAngel85 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Yeah, I had a source and knew that isoku was planning on making his mods, or at least this one and RWT, monetized with Steam Workshop. I'm just curious how many others will go this route.
oqhansoloqo Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) Definitely not - requiring payment for mods will kill the modding community. EDIT: I don't see how a mod with SKSE content could even charge for money though. Can someone say "lawsuit"? Edited April 23, 2015 by oqhansoloqo

EDIT: I don't see how a mod with SKSE content could even charge for money though. Can someone say "lawsuit"?Lawsuit on what basis? SKSE is under the MIT license. The only restriction is that you can't remove the license notice. Even if it were under the GPL, selling derivatives of it would still be completely acceptable. I'm more curious about the various mod resources included with Wet & Cold. Hopefully he secured permission from the creators of those resources prior to selling the mod. (The cloaks, for example). Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions: The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software. On a pragmatic note, what about Wet & Cold - Ashes? Isoku's 2.0 changelog doesn't seem to mention it, so presumably the version on the Nexus remains the most current version.
