  1. I'm not sure if the update for RUSTIC ANIMATED POTIONS and POISONS should be installed or not. Please advise.
  2. New bug: Installing Bellyaches Animal and Creature Pack - There are no "brown normal" Werewolf eyes. The guide states to select the mangy dark gray skeever but the healty white. In the setup Bellyache writes explicitely:
  3. Some carpet textures are overwritten. The SRO carpets don't fit the general design of carpets of detailed rugs: DR version: SCO version:
  4. My "can't play without" mod can be used with SSE by just opening and saving in the CK. YEAH! Arods Better Containers https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28196 Instantly move any items from your pack into any container. Easily Move, Rename, or Unlock any container... even from other mods! Stow your gear or open a chest in your home from anywhere else. Craft your own containers to add permanent new storage to any location. Arod's Storage Solutions will forever improve your Skyrim experience. It works on any chest, barrel, pouch, sack or other container, and with any item you can put in your backpack, even if they came from third party mods. Supports Dragonborn, Dawnguard, and Hearthfire DLCs as well. Works with 100% pure vanilla Skyrim. SKSE or other third-party enhancement software is NOT required.
  5. But there is. Since you don't need the original esm files anymore, you can just put the modified ones in one folder and forget about them. There is no need fiddling around with them at all. And it saves a lot of time :) If you don't believe me, just download it
  6. Downloaded today from the nexus link given
  7. Next: in the Standard Cleaning Procedures, add that the files should be cleaned in the order the masters are supposed to be loaded, that makes it MUCH easier to use the CK eventually. It still loads the files according to filetime. There is also no harm in having a single mod, e.g. Cleaned Masters, containing all cleaned ESM files. Next: Wrye Bash doesn't need any arguments. It will ask on first run which game it is for. Next: "For Instance users the profile will be stored in the user's AppData folder (i.e. C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\SkyrimSE\profiles)" Meaning? There is no folder like that. The profiles are always in the folder Mod Organizer 2\profiles\ Next: Under Legend there is a point "DLC Required". That is obsolete, as Skyrim SE contains all DLCs Next: STEP Patches Requirements points to the Skyrim LE page. That's all for now
  8. I just decided to switch from LE to SE and start with the STEP guide. From the first "Tools" section: Mod Organizer 2 includes LOOT, there is no need to install it separately I think the name changes for directories (from SSEEdit to xEdit) are very counter intuitive, because I will NEVER remember that I installed SSEEdit in that folder, for possible updates. Next: In the Tool Setup section, you describe the way how to add a new executable to MO, MO2 has a much cooler way to do that, just use the dropdown list for executables, click <Edit...>, in the next window click on the little + icon and select "Add from file...". The title field is filled automagically. Click "apply" and do it again for all other mods. Create a new empty mod (click on the wench and screwedriver icon and select "create empty mod") named "Bashed Patch" before anything, and select that Wrye Bash should create the bashed patch directly in that folder, not using the overwrites. Next: in the Standard Cleaning Procedures, add that the files should be cleaned in the order the masters are supposed to be loaded, that makes it MUCH easier to use the CK eventually. It still loads the files according to filetime.

  10. completed without a hitch. <sigh>, now I'm saving the output somewhere and try the 32 bit exe through MO2, just to see if I can replicate the problem... 15 minutes later: YES! I'm getting exactly the same errors as before. So the problem is in the 32bit exe.
  11. I am trying the x64 exe with MO2 now (just copied over my profiles and set the mod dir to the one in the MO1 folder and set the mods from a savegame from yesterday). It seems to work fine. The 32 bit exe would choke on the world file named "arnimaDUPLICATE003" when "creating atlas textures" The bugged output dir was something like 600MB, the one created now is 2.5GB and growing The x64 version seems to be much faster. The txt file in the Edit Scripts\Export folder for "LODGen_TES5_arnimaDUPLICATE00.txt" is the second largest after Tamriel. Over 4MB... Maybe it IS some memory problem?
  12. Thanks for your fast answer. I can't use the x64 version through MO1 :( Oddly, Tex5LODGen works fine.
  13. Using the Medium preset for DynDOLOD everything works fine, but I want the HIGH preset (because of my new hardware with superpowers), and I get multiple errors like this: Access violation at address 00E892F4 in module 'DynDOLOD.exe'. Read of address 00000### (starting with 00000000) for various addresses. The bugreport.txt contains lots of personal data, I wouldn't post it right here. 14. I have installed the complete SRLE, now come my own darlings :) While merging the gazillion (read 10) patches I need for Palaces and Castles Enhanced, I noticed that the Relighting Skyrim patch throws a lot of errors. Odd. So I replace the (renamed) esp of "Relighting Skyrim FULL - Tailored for ELFX" with the original one, and NO errors. So, what is your advice? Why does a mod depending on RLS find fault with the patched file??
  15. Thanks for the info where LOOT stores the settings. Now I can just go ahead and edit the userfile myself.
  16. Thank you. I opened the newest STEP compilation in MO and selected "Manual", then I set the "03 STEP Extended Comp" as data directory, uncheck everything but the textures/armor/circlets and install it with the name of "Better Circlets HQ 2K" and provide MO with the right ID.
  17. I've been doing a bit of updating of the guide recently, because there was a lot of outdated information and some files which were off the Nexus. At some points the guide is VERY confusing, e.g. no mention that "subliminal traps" are to be selected in a fomod, because the mod will be installed later. After finishing the installation (before merging anything), I may go through every mod and just do a reinstall, to fix missing settings. If I can spare another week of installing mods :) I used to install the STEP guide for all playthroughs, but since my new computer is totally overpowered, I felt I should do something new, which matches my normal MAIN mod, LOTD
  18. I have a new Gigabyte Aero 17 YA with UHD display, 64GB RAM, NVIDIA 2080RTX Max-Q 8GB, and 2TB SDD. ENBoost crashes my game immediately. not even getting to the logo screen. p.S. - installing DirectX version 9 from the MS website solved the problem. This version is apparently not included with Windows 10
  19. This is one superior retexture. I briefly played without it, testing a pure STEP setup, but YUCK, were my eyes insulted by the vanilla STEP textures. I really really recommend this mod.
  20. Playing with the new STEP version and my usual other mods gives me LOTS of CTDs and out of memory crashes. I have another installation still here with the old STEP, and I used to play for days without a single CTD. Could DyndoLod be the reason for the memory problems?
  21. I installed every single mod in the order given, and now MO gives me following error: Do you have any idea what may be causing this?
  22. the link for the issue tracker on the nexus page doesn't work. The problem with the MCM script requiring modname.esp isn't solved (see my message above).
  23. I'm running into a problem because of merged mods. Those merged mods are each referenced with GetModByName for an MCM menu. Now instead of modA.esp modB.esp etc, there is only one esp called allMods.esp. I have to manually edit the psc file and compile it to get the MCM menu working, as relinker doesn't do it. The MCM is from Dragonborn Gallery, and the mods I am merging are all the Bad Gremlin mods and some other small files. i = Game.GetModByName("BadGremlins.esp") if i != 255 Pages[19] = "Great Jar Hunt" Pages[21] = "Trophy Heads" Pages[22] = "Fish Bowls" Pages[25] = "Captured Fairies" endif
  24. The problem persisted, regardless of C++ Runtime installation... Then I uninstalled Python, deleted the path settings in MO and everything was fine
  25. I just found that 'Skill Interface Re-Texture' is tagged as removed from nexus, where it is very much alive here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62238/?
