  1. No mod managers can look into BSA yet from what I can tell. Someone said MO can but I'm using the latest version and I can't see conflicts inside bsa.
  2. It only conflicts with RSE (part of TPC now). It's basically Isoku's work but with the purple haze problem removed.
  3. I think in this case it really was just a matter of not remember where he got them... but in any case, the textures are nice and most of the purple "haze" is gone. I fully recommend this one.
  4. iShadowMapResolution=4096 You recommend ENB, but on the https://enbdev.com/doc_skyrim_en.htm web site, he recommends to not force AA from the driver. This is confusing for me because I don't know whether AA is taken care of with ENB(through SMAA?) or through the launcher video settings. For instance Project ENB and Ehanced Vanilla ENB don't have smaa.dll but Countervibe does. And also TweakGuide is recommending AAx4 or 8. On a different matter you talk about: On my machine, if I set shadows to Ultra(4096), my FPS plummet on zoning out of an interior cell randomly. I can correct it by alt-tabbing out and back in or avoid it altogether by setting shadows to "High". At first I thought I had tried to pushed my system too far, until I sharted using fraps and discovered the pattern. I may be missing some fix I haven't been able to find and if I am please let me know what it is. I just thought it might be worth mentioning(it's a known issue btw). I have a couple of suggestions as well and they are worth what you paid for them ;) You might consider having a logo for a good housekeeping seal of approval that modders might add, it would benefit both parties I believe. And since Wrye Bash seems likely to become more of requirement in the not so distant future, having a bcf repository might be a good idea. I'm really tired and hope I haven't come off too dry or critical. I appreciate all the effort you have gone to and look forward to installing the recommended mods. If I find anything else I'll try to report it along with a possible solution. 1. iMaxAnisotropy=1 is for Anistropic Filtering (AF) not Anti Aliasing (AA). Also, if there is no SMAA.dll then that ENB does not provide SMAA support out of the box. It's that simple.2. iShadowMapResolution=4096 does impact performance but has a noticeable image quality boost. It states that in the quote you provided. If it's too much for your PC, simply don't use it. STEP is a guide, not the bible. :) As for Wrye Bash, bash patches will likely become the norm soon, yes. There are still other good options out there to manage your mods though such as Mod Organizer (which I'm currently using) which can run Wrye Bash and generate a patch. I do believe we have a BCF repository, and if it's not already linked it probably should be. Thanks for taking the time to come and post and hope this clears any confusion you might have.
  5. Looks like he took my advice and added credits for Realistic Smoke and Embers which his mod is based on.
  6. Noticed that, unfortunately it looks like some of his work was based off Isoku's RSE with a few modded files. I really hope he fixes his upload so he does not get banned as he has posted some nice stuff on the nexus lately. I've left a post in his comments section.
  7. Better Embers I really like this one as it removes the purple haze that plagues many of the current ember textures used in STEP/TPC. Currently it is packaged as a BSA but it's just textures.... so I just extracted them. (it's a transfer from Steam Workshop)
  8. Hope so, doesn't look like the actual version number changed on the creation kit though. Update: Yep! I now have a skyrim\Data\Scripts\Source\Dawnguard directory!
  9. Here I will post some of the of the screenshots I have taken: STEP + Countervibe, No CoT:
  10. Edit: Never mind my initial question, on to the screen captures!
  11. Correct, Wrye Bash is wrong and it works fine. Just ignore the red message, as I said it's because the STRINGS are not loose files like in vanilla skyrim and wrye hasn't updated to fix yet. You problems likely are due to a mod conflict or leftover scripts in your save.
  12. Discussion thread: Immersive HUD by Gopher Wiki Link Surprised to find no mod thread for this already via search but wanted to report the new version 2.0alpha1 has been released. [video=youtube]http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=iffV57Z3nLc What does it let you do? 1. Toggle the compass with the 'x' key. You can change this by holding the 'x' key for a few seconds and when prompted press a new key you wish to use instead (see video for details). 2. The crosshair is only visible when using a ranged weapon/staff or a spell, or when hovering over an activatable item. 3. Allows you to change the transparancy of the compass and crosshair seperately (see video). 4. Floating quest markers only visible when the compass is visible (see video). 5. Allow you to remove the sneak meter, but keep the crosshair when using bow, staff or spell (see video). Now the Fallout versions of this mod had far more features, allowing you to permanantly hide things like health, stealth meter etc. Or change when they were visible, and how long before they faded. I fully intend to do the same for Skyrim. Console commands 'set iHUDEnabled to 0' -> Disables the scripts completely. The only way to restart after this is to set it back to 1, save your game and reload (which restarts the scripts). 'set iHUDSneakMeter to 0' -> Disables the Sneak Meter. Setting it back to 1 changes it back. 'set iHUDCompassAlpha to X' - > Sets the alpha of the compass and quest markers to X, where X is a whole number over 0. 100 is equal to whatever your HUD alpha is normally. Over 100 will make it brighter, but only up to a certain level. 'set iHUDCrosshairAlpha to X' - > Sets the alpha of the crosshair to X, where X is a whole number over 0. 100 is equal to whatever your HUD alpha is normally. Over 100 will make it brighter, but only up to a certain level.
  13. I don't think Project included SMAA, no.
  14. As a temporary solution you could just disable DoF by itself. In enbseries.ini change: EnableDepthOfField=true to false. I would still post on the page to try to get an answer.
  15. I would try posting on the Project ENB page to see if the author can give you a response.
  16. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13306 I haven't used it myself (I use shift-f12 to disable enb during char create) but this might work for you. Seen it linked by many ENB authors.
  17. Aye, the red for Dawnguard is because the STRINGS are inside the BSA which Wrye cannot read so it believes there is an error when there is not.
  18. This mod is finally starting to get support from the author again, recently released 0.95, definitely keeping an eye on this one. Current features: Animals will no longer report crimes. Guards will follow the player if sneaking or a weapon is drawn. Dogs will bark at the player if they witness him sneaking
  19. Some people use Countervibe with Climates of Tamriel as well, so yes you can use both if you like. There are actually links to screenshots on the CounterVibe ENB page from CoT users.
  20. Now why couldn't the real game be that good? :P
  21. No... 1.2 does not seem to touch anything we have fixes in STEP for.
  22. I always use the latest version, never been a problem for me. If your using Dawnguard however, make sure you also update your Dawnguard patch! Got to keep them synced.
  23. Better Bedrolls ComparisonI believe TPC wins. Just doing an eyeball inspection I'm thinking HQ Eyebrows is better than Eyebrows Match Hair also. I'll upload screens when I have a character I'm not afraid to show... (didn't care about appearance when making tester character).
