I've had my eye on this one, but haven't actually tried it yet. People say it suffers from some light pop-ins in Markath, and I'm not sure how compatible it is with other light mods such as MDS. *prays for an official TES5Edit release soon*. I'm back to re-testing the latest version of this mod since I started using Seasons of Skyrim ENB. I'll check and see if I notice anything different.

This is correct. The opening cell from Alternate Start has the light placed behind the torch, pretty much in the wall, that's why the lighting works in such a way. Try somewhere else to see the difference. This is true, HOWEVER, why is it that only SkyRealism appears to have the issue. It looks fine in Skyrim Enhanced Shaders or Seasons of Skyrim both of which use 0.119 also.

Papyrus is famous for providing errors when there really isn't one. Basically the stuff related to XFLMain is those mods checking to see if Extensible Follower Framework is installed, if not then it will bomb out (intentionally so). Paarthurnax Dilemma I imagine is checking to see if the quest is in your quest book periodically, but obviously if it's not then it also fails. If your not getting a CTD or save bloat, then I would say it's fine. Messy in the log but what can you do? -
Totally understand RL > game as I have an 8 month old son myself (who recently visited the dr about 7 times)... I might try to get ambitious at some point but same as you my time is shorter than I like it to be. :) Whenever you have a chance that would be great, otherwise I won't be mad and just keep my eye out for new configs.

Not sure if it's a general problem or not but using 1.2.1 beta I could NOT start a new game (it just hung there) but with 1.2 it worked fine. Confirmed to fail by Arthmoor. Likely cause is aliases not filling properly. -
Well my main concern is the shadow wall bug in 0.113 that bugs the crap out of me. (as seen in the video here repasted below) [video=youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Ew64ogkI6yE I have confirmed this does not happen in 0.119 but only in 0.113(even the latest version). I don't care particularly about SkyLighting but just copying the new d3d9.dll to an old config won't work very well I imagine. I was using CounterVibe but since I found this bug I've been trying new configs (but there aren't that many out there yet for 0.119). Trying out Seasons of Skyrim now.

I'm getting this issue with SkyRealism ENB (Cinematic with shiny metal preset)... not sure what the cause is but it's annoying that torches look like flashlights!

Any particular preset or advice as to how to upgrade an existing preset to 0.119 from 0.113?

The biggest thing I'm looking for right now is damage/cost that scales with skill level. Empowered magic is looking pretty good as a vanilla overhaul and Apoc and Revenge of Collete look good as extra spells. Not by any means have tested these though, going by descriptions -

Alright, now on to step 2... magic overhauls. Seen a few good ones out there people mentioned before: Balanced 'Magic Better Magic Empowered Magic The Revenge of Collette Apocalypse Spell Package etc. It's no secret that magic in Skyrim needs a fair share of work, what have you guys been using? -

I love this mod and consider it pretty much essential. It adds so much life to the game. That being said, got to be careful not to overload your game based on your system. The Riverwood area seems to be where most people have problems, it can get a little unstable in vanilla already and with extra mods it tends to get worse. -
