  1. Convent Horses has been updated for use with Dawnguard. Dawnguard is now required to use the new version (and future) I imagine. v3.3.2 is still available for those without Dawnguard. V4.0: Dawnguard is now required to run this version. Added support for Arvak and other summoned horses. Summoned horses will not count as regular horses and they will only share following features: horse charge, fast dismount, horse speed tweaks and mounted conversations/harvesting. Added support for new rideable zones: Blackreach, Soul Cairn and Dayspring Canyon. New feature: Auto Loot. Enemies killed in mounted combat will have their inventory automatically opened. Maximum range 100yd. Can be disabled in config. New option: Dynamic Speed. Followers will ride faster if they are further away from the player in order to catch up more easily. Speed is tweaked according to distance between the follower and the player and is fully dynamic. Horse Call black screen fade can now be turned off. Whistle and follow toggle player animations can now be turned off for uninterruptible gameplay. Follower Ignore Combat feature has been renamed to Follower Behavior in order to avoid confusion and better descriptions have been made. Two behavior presets are called Fighter and Supporter. Follower riding invulnerability can now be toggled separatelly. Followers should now properly dismount when in combat if using Fighter behavior preset (previously known as Ignore Combat: OFF). Followers should no longer assist player in killing their own horses. They will now defend them. Followers should no longer dismount if their parent cell unloads. You could usually notice this if they fall behind too much after which they get teleported behind the player and use the horn. Followers that were in process of mounting/dismounting while player was entering a new zone will now be moved near player as soon as they are finished. You no longer need to wait for followers to dismount before entering the city or a dungeon. Followers will no longer be counted as teammates and draw their weapons while in the process of mounting. Multi-follower mod users are not aware of this issue because these mods already disable synchronized weapon draw. Removed fast travel code because new Skyrim version takes care of mounted actors that are following the player. Removed Inventory Transfer option, it is now always enabled. Other horse inventory mods should not be used anymore. Removed Disabled control mode. You now must decide between Multi Tap and Bound Key mode. Fixed bug with unbound keys triggering related functions. Fixed bug with fast dismount that was introduced with addition of crossbows. Reduced whistle volume further by 2dB.
  2. I'm fine with uninstalling DG for some testing, lord knows I spend more time modding than actually playing. lol However, is it not important to know what breaks in DG for future STEP revisions also? Obviously it would not affect the outcome of this current rev.

  5. Regarding this cause, does the freeze always happen at the same spot? Or are they totally random? I used GPUz to track VRAM usage today and after crash Max VRAM usage was at 2023MB(GTX 670 2GB), is it an indication this is the case I'm having? Some more information. I did a clean install before following S.T.E.P., was having mad CTD's in the wild (particularly between Riften and Ivarstead). Got the game stable after removing a bunch of quest mods from Steam, was able to run all the way from Riften to Makarth and back without issue. Then random freezes started happening in Whiterun and Riften (do they even count as exterior world?). Although I do have SkyMoMod/SkyTest installed, I highly doubt they are the cause because they were my top suspects and CTD/freeze still happened after removing them(branding new char using console). Edit:Did some more test, two hour session without freeze/cod stopped playing and checking CPUz, max VRAM usage was at 2036mb. Only thing I did differently was to wait 10 second to do anything after every fast travel... kahmuld you have private messaging disabled so I was unable to respond to your question directly so I will do it here:Simply install Birds of Skyrim, SkyMoMod, and SkyTEST then run BOSS to sort the esps. I had no issues with vanilla 1.7 that way. Obviously I install them in the order in which they appear in my personal mods guide. No Guarantees with Dawnguard though, as I'm just now running through and finding the incompatibilities.

  7. The "mainstream"(read:supported) female bodies appear to be CBBEv3, UNP, UNP-Blessed. The other female bodies have little support as far as I know (or at least I haven't seem them). The only available male bodies are Better Males using either Sundracon or FavoredSoul meshes. The main thing to look out for when using a new body is neck seam issues. UNP/UNPB share the same neck seam and CBBE has it's own neck seam. All custom bodies seem to be incompatible with XCE(the current STEP recommendation) and you need to use the other available packs which have compatibility patches. It would definitely be an undertaking for whoever takes up the mantle. Personally I follow all these mods already because I use them in my own game.
  8. Yeah blinding light was definitely the RCRN bug that killed it for me... I'm hoping 3.5 won't have the issue and it might become usable in my eyes. As for ENBs, there are so many options I haven't found one that I am totally happy with just yet. Even after trying 10 or more.
  9. SMAA is not compatible with RCRN. So you'll have to use FXAA or MSAA.
  10. The site itself has never been slow for me, it's just the downloads not working. Take that back, now getting "Internal Server Error: 500" when clicking some links.
  11. I confirmed with the SKSE guys that Dawnguard is safe with them, the modified Vanilla scripts do not affect the SKSE functionality as currently written.
  12. No, I'm doing manual downloads since I use Wrye Bash. I keep getting the "file is still propagating" error even after waiting 8 hours... it's getting really annoying. Previously I just had to wait the normal 30 minutes.
  13. He sent me the file, but I still haven't been able to download anything updated in the last 2 days... is anyone having any luck at all downloading? I see a lot of people in the various mod forums complaining but haven't seen anything from the Nexus staff as to there being a problem. Edit: Figures right as I say something all the downloads become available... I still don't trust it though.

  15. In any case, I think a clean install is in order. Also going to check and make sure SKSE is still compatible since vanilla scripts were changed in dawnguard also. (I believe source has not yet been released)
  16. I think WATER was incompatible until today, which is obviously (or was) a STEP mod. So need to make sure 1.5 or above is used for Dawnguard. There are a few others incompatible as well, they should get sorted in the next few days hopefully. Edit: Looks like USKP 1.1 is not compatible with Dawnguard either... lol fun times. Source.
  17. Well, I'm having a heck of a time with my load order and dawnguard, I think I'm going to have to start over and check compatibilities again... damned. I can't even make it through Helgen without a CTD, was rock solid before Dawnguard.

  20. Site error The site has run in to a problem, please look at the error message below... In an effort to stop bandwidth leeching bots members cannot download a file more than 50 times. If you believe you are seeing this in error or can provide a good reason why you have downloaded this file more than 50 times please get in contact with a site admin. The next question I have is, how do I find one?!
  21. I was trying to get the build your own home update, void armor unpb-bbp, and a texture color fix... I'm sure the nexus admins will unban me from downloading them due to their issues because I didn't actually download anything hah.   23. I know, but still this is rediculous. It's been over 4 hours since these files were uploaded and they are still "propagating"? Not to mention it takes 5 minutes for it to even tell me that much lol.
  24. Anyone else notice the Nexus is getting slower and slower to access things lately? Getting a lot of errors too. Every other web site is fine as far as I can tell.
