DROPPED Unofficial Skyrim Patch (by Unofficial Patch Project Team)
Neovalen replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Looks like the "official" 1.2.1 has a crash problem in Dragonsreach, it has officially killed my playthrough until a fix is found... urgh! I really should keep my older USKP versions as Arthmoor doesn't leave the old versions laying about. The last beta before release worked fine, so hopefully that narrows down the problem for him. Edit: I cleaned the official 1.2.1 with TESVGecko (there was a few dirty edits) and it fixed the problem for me... I reported this to Arthmoor. -
Real 1st Person View -WIP- A mod to keep your eyes on, new version coming soon (preview video posted in download section).

Always use a mod manager, always. I recommend Mod Organizer in combination with Wrye Bash and BOSS.

Definitely going to grab this one before it gets taken offline.

Epic moments in Skyrim
Neovalen replied to thalastwon's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Walking into Bleak Falls Barrow at level 9 only to find a Dragon Priest Guard come out of the coffin instead of a Draugr Overlord... time for a new pair of pants and a coffin of my own... guess I need to level up more. -
DROPPED Skyrim Weapon De-LARP-ification Project (by MadCat221)

v1.0.5 posted, more improved models and also NPCs will now also use the thinner blades. -
So whats the deal with BFSEffects? With that many structural errors my only thought is he might have used TESVSnip? I'd like to give the author a chance to fix it but I don't know what the problem is to ask him. Upon a quick look in the CK, it loaded fine with no warning/errors. Did you try re-saving in the CK then checking if the errors went away? I'd check myself but I do not have the tool.

Looks like 1.4a uses meshes for only 02, 04, and 05 instead of all 01-05 in 1.3. I think he did this so it's not as thick/unrealistic and has more variation in the # of branches.
-
Yeah, well the plus side is you can use the textures from TreesHD and just use the meshes from Lush.
-
Glad to see that the Vurts patch has been added for 1.4a! :) Of course, it means TreesHD needs an update yet, but it's a start!

You can check multiples at a time, no problem. Just use shift-click to select multiple esp files. Masters are opened automatically. Checked out some of the mods flagged as bad by TES5Edit from Fri but they didn't seem to show errors. BFSEffects in particular since I love that mod and even with some issues I wouldn't get rid of it... I'm not sure how the two tools stack up against each other as far as finding errors thought, likely TES5Edit is looking at things Gecko doesn't.
-
Most of the armor mods are anime based because many of the people that take the time to mod are from that part of the world. That being said, there are vanilla armor conversions and some lore friendly gems for the various bodies if you look.
-
Will the new TES5Edit have the capability to fix some of these issues with the mods? I think the old versions did. I'm not sure what the BFSEffects issues are, but that mod author is pretty good at fixing them if you let him know what they are.
-
What exactly is the problem with BFSEffects? The esp isn't showing errors in Wrye so it must be something else?

Textures for weaponstands missing
Neovalen replied to Phyzziks's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I do not get that problem with my STEP install, something went awry somewhere. -
That is a fine concept, HOWEVER are there things you can mod into skyrim that can't be done any other way but UDRs? I'd imagine any mod that removes items from the original game (such as Septims in the case of SkyrimCoins). They aren't like light sources, crafting recipes, etc that you can simply "disable"/add conditions to. If there are no exceptions thats fine, just asking for my own clarity. Out of an abundance of caution, I have removed all mods with UDRs from my mod listings.
-
DDSoptPre3 has an exclusion list built into it already. Other things to not optimize are things like soul gem textures as they are non-standard size.
-
Those are all the ones I found in my mod list... obviously many of them are STEP mods. Some I don't think are real issues, intentional world edits to add buildings, etc are the cause of many of them. SkyrimCoinReplacer probably removed the coins from the objects in question.
