  1. As many of you know, my STEP-based mod guide Skyrim Revisited has been in development for quite some time. I estimate it currently is about 85% complete until release. I get feedback pretty much every day in the form of private messages here on the forums, and it has increase dramatically of late so I decided to make a thread. Here I would like to see: Feature RequestsMod RecommendationsProblem ReportsThings I am currently working on adding: Additional INI Tweaking.Armor/Weapon Mods.Lighting Mods.Melee/Magic Combat Mods.Vampire Mods.Finishing "Final Steps" instructions.A sincere thank you to all for the support, I never would have thought my list would get this much attention, especially pre-release.Speaking of release, I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to do that yet! :P I'm not sure you'd call it a "pack" for STEP... I'll have to think on it.
  2. If it works this one is definitely going in my guide.
  3. Side note... has anyone gotten uGrids 7 to work on a fully modded Sky rim? I'm 100% stable 60fps at 5 but ctd or hang with 7.
  4. Does this mod cover Dawnguard, etc? I'm using Lanterns of Skyrim now which only adds lights and doesn't modify originals in favor of using other lighting mods in the future...
  5. Saw this while I was at work, it looks brilliant! I think he is working on a canvas retexture as well.
  6. After a password reset on the forum, etc I can now log back into both. Thanks!
  7. Keeps saying incorrect PW now... on my way home so away for ~1.5hrs
  8. Not sure who is setting permissions but.... bump. :)
  9. I would start by removing Script Dragon. I've always had much more ctd with it installed. Most mod authors have moved to SKSE and with good reason.
  10. Your account does not have the required permissions...something change? Noted my user name turned green... noticed my wiki editor nameplate gone as well.
  11. v121212 is still available, and I bet he'll bring back at least one of the earlier releases, like v126. The only available drivers? He's got a reason for bashing the 310 drivers, which frankly aren't perfect at all. I'm just happy he's still working on Skyrim. With the recent improvements, performance with SSAO should be better than ever. Most ENB configs weren't developed for past 119 releases anyway. In fact he is ignoring the entire 300 series drivers (go read his main page) and I cannot run anything below that so... for me the point is moot. After an entire series has the problem I'd think its a feature not a bug. (Similar previously when ATI users were screwed for awhile.)
  12. Even worse is Borris removed all revisions from 0.119 on... Not to mention pretty much shutting nVidia users in the cold by not supporting the only available drivers... Not happy with EnbSeries right now... no wonder there are essentially no presets post 0.119.
  13. Made a run through the game, the new textures in general look very nice.
  14. Aye, but of course we need to check which is better, etc. For now just based on texture comparison(not in game): TreesHD vs Realistic Mushrooms: * treeaspenaddon01.dds -> TreesHD * treereachaddon01.dds -> Realistic Mushrooms High Quality Food and Ingredients vs Realistic Mushrooms: * moratapinellabits01.dds -> Mixed.. like the bottoms of HQFI and cleaner tops of RM. * scalypholiotabits01.dds -> Mixed.. same as previous. Hybrids vs Realistic Mushrooms: * mushroom01.dds -> Realistic Mushrooms Overall, I would go Realistic Mushrooms all the way except treeaspenaddon01 has to go TreesHD.
  15. Discussion thread: Realistic Mushrooms by Mystery Modder Wiki Link This one looks great... much more variety in colors/types of mushrooms. Unfortunately that means some conflicts with TreesHD, etc cause the mushrooms share textures... need to evaluate but figured I'd share. Conflicts: High Quality Food and Ingredients, Hybrids HD Plants and Herbs Retexture, TreesHD Skyrim Variation The question is, which is better?! :)
  16. Sad that dragon riding sucks... modders to the rescue!
  17. Gopher now has a video on this mod: [video=youtube]
  18. After playing in game, the difference is subtle but noticeable. Replaced my Enhanced Distant Terrain with Type 1 of this one for sure. That is what I'd recommend for STEP as well.
  19. Discussion thread: HD Enhanced Terrain by Hritik Vaishnav Wiki Link - This mod gives a more detailed "grass-like" effect to terrain at long-distance (hence the increased noise) and contains higher-resolution detail. - Texture size is double that of OpticShooter's original terrain enhancement at 2048x2048 pixels. - Adds a more rugged-look to Skyrim's vistas. - No noticeable hit to performance or frame-rate drop. - Simply install as you would any other texture replacement. I haven't taken detailed screenshots but there are multiple video's, etc on the authors page. This one looks pretty good I have to say... EDT is a little "flat", this one adds some noise so you can imagine grass being there. _____ Testing thread This mod is already in STEP and has a thread in section G of Mod Anthology. The purpose of this testing is to determine whether STEP should use the older version of the texture from this mod, currently in STEP, or use the texture from one of the two newer versions (a Blended version and a Lush version). The newer versions have been preferred over the older version in the posts on the Nexus page for this mod. As mentioned in the Mod Anthology thread, the "noise" texture in this mod (the mod provides a single texture) gives a more detailed "grass-like" effect to terrain at long-distance (hence the increased noise) and contains higher-resolution detail. To do the selection we will need comparison screenshots at some representative locations in Skyrim.Re-assessment of Options for STEP (fGrassStartFadeDistance =25000.0000) HDET Pro Blended HDET Pro Lush HDET v8 (previous version) EDT - Earth (current STEP) More info about lower settings on this post
  20. Alright, after looking at this in game I have to say I like snow and rocks hd better especially for caves that have mist/vegetation/water sources... makes no sense there would be ZERO moss where water/plants are present... the textures are great and I like them but they don't fit everywhere. This might be a good case for a partial use. :) Eventually I will have to look into which textures are better/worse for each case.
  21. Easy, when you modify an ESP move it from Overwrite folder back to the mod folder. /Overwrite -> /Mods/ That way when you remove a mod it also removes the ESP.
  22. One thing I'm noticing just by comparing textures in a tool is that Hectrol removed a lot of a vegetation from the textures, (i.e. moss). So in other places it might not look as good. Going to have to go investigate various caves to look it up.
  23. Looks nice, going to have to give it a whirl.
  24. I don't have an issue with the wiki being open in general just hope personal user pages have a bit of protection from random edits. After all, why else have user areas?
  25. Fixed now. Also wanted to inquire if my user area is secured for just me or not? Considering I'm hosting my guide there...
