  1. After updating this last set of mods I've noted a marked decrease in VRAM usage.
  2. Honestly don't know... Apachii SkyHair has all kinds of issues and I have no idea why. Thats why it was removed.
  3. Sorry to everyone for the lack of updates .. RL has decided to intervene. Will try to work on it some soon.
  4. Boost happens automatically with 600 series cards. Its basically automatic minor over clocking.
  5. The latest Unreal Cinema by UnrealWarfare is actually quite good and I like it a lot...
  6. Dude, Unreal has his own ENB config on Nexus Where is uploaded? my presets aren't available... Only Opethfeldt's preset. I think he has you confused with UnrealWarfare from the nexus.
  7. Definitely be interested in the results. Anything globally applicable should be reported in the DDSOpt thread as well so the custom INI will get updated.
  8. Don't feed the trolls kiddies!
  9. Dual wield parrying... no problem.
  10. Duel is no problem. Not sure on requiem but imagine more conflicts.
  11. Thanks for elucidation! I'm always looking for ways to get the most out of my rig where Skyrim is concerned, and NeoValen's mod list demands a lot, so I've been trying to understand some of the underlying architecture. It's too bad that a lot of the limitations appear to exist within Skyrim itself. Unfortunately this is the case yes. Hope Beth does a full engine for the next TES game. I think the effective "cap" is just a little over 3gb as the game starts losing things after that point. Going to pause on mod adds for a bit while I do some optimization work since I've maxed out. (I used max sized textures for everything).
  12. Been using these sounds forever. Good addition . I have not used the textures.. I use the ones on the Tales of Lycanthropy page.
  13. Sorry to hear about your ctd issue here. Working on my own small annoyances also.(keep getting a random black texture or two) followed by a ctd but my performance is perfect. I might be straining the engine too much with max unopted textures. Going to attempt debug. If you find anything please let me know. I could have sworn I got rid of that note... will look again.
  14. Well they didn't fix everything because I get sound cut out unless I set my sound output to 44.1k, so yeah. JJ I see your running a SLI system as well... I disabled SLI for Sky rim to get HDR/ripples to work since the 3d trick doesn't appear to work anymore.. you find a better way?
  15. I couldn't be happier with my 4gb card. I knew that advanced skyrim modding would blow past 2gb pretty quickly. My 670 4gb still puts out 60fps in most scenes with SLI disabled and fully enabled ENB on top.
  16. Yeah tweaking sound output to 44100 16bit. Beth said they fixed it but you never know... hence the test :)
  17. I'm really enjoying RLO. Just can't decide if I want to mix in ELFX or not. As for ENB I'm having a minor love affair with the latest Unreal Cinema... but I haven't done near enough testing to make a recommendation yet.
  18. Yeah that spot by White run is definetly a congestion spot. Its been mentioned here and also on other forums not related to SR. As far as VRAM using max size textures unoptimized I have hit over 3gb usage. Not a problem for my powerhouse 4gb card though besides the occaisional load stutter crossing cell boundaries(thinking about moving my mods to my SSD) but its not bad or often. Some tweaks I'm trying include disabling vsync and using inspector to cap fps and also the sound tweak. Others I haven't tried yet include going to border less window.
  19. Open the ESP in TES5EDIT and go to the "File Header" entry. If in the "HEDR - Header" record the reported version is 1.7000, then its in 1.8 patch format. If its something else, load the ESP in the Creation Kit and save.I checked the mods I have, and a large percentage of the STEP mods and a number of the non-STEP mods in Skyrim Revisited have version numbers of 0.94 . By the way, a while ago I checked my Creation Kit and found it was an old version even through I had recently used Steam to verify the integrity of the local game files. I had to open the Tools menu in Steam and run "verify integrity of tool cache" to get Steam to update the Creation Kit. The format is really only important when editing certain record types. For example body data is now BOD2 instead of BOD and there are now camera data in world spaces... etc. Just stuff I learned by looking at multiple mods and experimenting/saving in the CK.
  20. I have both of those mods on my evaluate list but have not tried them yet. As for learning... for the ck there are a lot of tutorials at creationkit.com and of course the learn by doing/seeing what others have done. Open up a mod in the CK and look at its guts essentially. Many mods include the script source also so you can learn from those as well. TES5Edit has documentation but is mostly related to previous games though some of it holds true. For this one I mostly learned-by-doing and fixing broken mods I really liked by trial and error. I am not a Guru or anything of the sort... just an advanced mod user that knows quite a lot by tinkering and helping mod authors fix bugs. Unfortunately, some mod authors take offense to any suggestions of fixes/improvements/disagreements but most are actually quite gracious about it. I'm always willing to listen to constructive feedback from each Author even if they tell me I'm way off base as long as they tell me where I went awry. Unfortunately some mod authors are no longer around to provide such feedback.
  21. I can't wait even though it almost certainly means more work for me... lol.
  22. It never hurts. Technically you'd only have to do it if the mod edits leveled lists.
  23. Will check tonight when home. I'm fairly sure not redundant on my machine. Will check ordering.
  24. I did a manual install. Any specific question?
  25. I haven't actually TRIED the new one in game yet... but I know for sure that doesn't happen with the old version and SR. To all: I've updated everything EXCEPT the USKP now. Will see how far I get but I should get done before the evening is out. Updating for the new USKP slowly in increments, please be patient. Mod patches updated so far (will update as finished): Clanking Armor Guard Dialogue Overhaul (Weapons and Armor section changes only) Better Skill and Quest Book Names (simply update) More Interactive Items Skyrim Coin Replacer SkyTEST Distant Detail Hearthfire Edition Consistent Older People Pelagius Wing - Unlit Candles Ars Metallica (No changes - waiting for Arthmoor to fix - requires script merge. Not a show stopper though.) Non-Essential Killable Children Bring Out Your Dead UPDATES COMPLETED. Hey Neovalen, Just wondering exactly what this entails? Does this mean after updating the USKP, that I should delete and reinstall these mods with instructions that have been updated in the Wiki? It's hard for me to tell if any changes have occurred there. Thanks for all your work and for bringing me back to Skyrim! I should have my GTX 680 w/ 4Gb VRAM incoming soon, so I'm going to blow out these hi-rez textures. Basically for any updated mod simply open in TES5Edit and basically recheck/add changes at least for this go round. The safest thing is to reinstall said mod and re-edit but really not required this time. USKP changes are obviously the most difficult due to the mass number of changes each go round.
