I'm gathering, from recent frantic activity in testing, that this release is prompting the next version of STEP in a not to distant time? I'm tempted to make the switch, but until the STEP patches get updated, well, I'm kinda stuck.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but since when do we (collectively) pick a mod to replace vanilla because 'there wasn't anything else'? I'll be honest, I take a lot of STEP recommendations at face value, and this mod was in my lineup because I hadn't done any comparisons. Sometimes, vanilla really was better, and I am just expressing surprise that this wasn't determined at the time. *shrug*

Good call... what were we thinking with Better Bones?

STEP Wiki Has Error...I think lol
Shadriss replied to Worsin's question in General Skyrim LE Support
You are backwards, Sparrow. You're correct that it was the most recent, and should (supposedly) have the most recent changes. Therefore, it should be loaded LAST so that it's changes overwrite the other ones. Regardless, I have to ask - is it LOOT asking you to do that, or MO's built in 'mod order problem' detection. From your post, Worsin, it sounds like the later. '... to set it the way I listed' makes it sound like you had to make the changes manually, and LOOT reorders the ESPs automatically. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Community Armory (By ChilledHobo)
Shadriss replied to ChilledHobo's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Nice that it's been done - I'm sure a great many will appreciate it. For me, though... a lot of armor mods out there aren't exactly vanilla-ish, and that's kind of outside the domain of STEP. Without checking the list of mods merged by this, I can't really say more.- 2 replies

ACCEPTED Wiseman303's Trap Fixes (by wiseman303)
Shadriss replied to Livnthedream's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
If you mean CACO and CCOR, than yes. If you mean anything else, most likely. -
Well, if we get into serious testing, at least that part would be done at some level. As I said - I have zero ability to handle that kind of thing, and I'll always support voiced mods vs. wordy non-voiced options (assuming decent voice acting, of course... if it were like the original Two Worlds... *shudder*).

Not to reignite it, but if the BoS only covers roughly half the Falmer population, why not do as Egraf recommends? Perhaps another round of comparison is in order. Granted, the males and females would have a different look, but that is no different than as it is now, apparently. Heck, I wasn't even aware there WERE female falmer.

That's kind of my feel as well, but until I have a patch to work with, I can't really test it. Sadly, I don't have the knowledge I need to seperate out Dilemma from the Expanded patch, nor add Bypass into it, if it even needs it.

It'll make more sense after you look at the main file list on the mod page. You end up downloading two files - the big and small bag of type B, as I recall. Dunno why the mod author didn't FOMOD it, but, hey... it's bags, so...

Id be interested to know if the ENB in question also alters outside weathers or some such. If it does, there may be some hanging script threads or whatnot that are trying to reference something that isn't there. Have you tried running sans ENB w/ a New Game (IE, doing a Helgen Run without the ENB)?

Truth. Of course, as we all know from Winnie, they obviously spell hunny wrong. :)

SKYRIMLE Supplemented textures of the male shrouded armor (by SteelSnake12)
Shadriss replied to Frushtek's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
CaBaL finishing the other armors would be outstanding, but that was a given. As to the one you are looking at, given that it only posted a week or so ago, I'm ok with waiting a little longer for something that fixes something I didn't notice was broken. :) -
Hey, Tech - has anyone taken a serious look at this as a replacement for Dilemma? I only ask because it seems an easy one to do so, but there hasn't been much talk about it.

SKYRIMLE WSCO - Windsong Skyrim Character Overhaul

Translation: We know it sucks, and we've almost fixed it. Patience, young padawan, the masters of modding are at work as we speak. :) -
SKYRIMLE Supplemented textures of the male shrouded armor (by SteelSnake12)
Shadriss replied to Frushtek's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I agree with you assessment, but given that it was, until you said another existed, the only one to address this, I wasn't going to be picky. I dropped it in for texture comparison purposes, and while the STEP Texture pack provides one, I'm not able to see it in MO due to it being in a BSA. I am assuming, from your comments, that it's the original. If you have another one on the hook, perhaps you could link for comparative purposes? -
I dunno about Immersive, but it is impressive. The fact that you have 'pods' to get vehicles makes little sense to me, for example... why aren't they there spawned to begin with? That said, smooth running graphics on high settings. Still will likely not grab it due to lack of SP campaign, but if this is similar to what I can expect in later games, then perhaps EA has some hope after all.

SKYRIMLE Dragon Claw Stands by The AFK Mods Team
Shadriss replied to Cameron9428's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Interesting thought, but I dislike how only a single home can hold all of them at once. With a collection, I prefer they be displayed AS a group, and piecemeal like that doesn't appeal to me. -
iNeed/Dangerous Diseases related issue
Shadriss replied to Shadriss's question in General Skyrim LE Support
That's known and expected. The remaining issue relates to the ability to craft something that doesn't work as originally intended. After doing some more research, the 'Cure Disease' potion is now used to cure the Vampire disease, so it isn't useless. However, since I can craft one, I should be able to craft all disease curing potions. It's largely irrelevant to me anymore, since I've removed that portion of the mod. I like it's concept, but not at the cost of common sense. Also, with Krypt's new alchemy mod, I avoid a ton of conflicts by removing it. -
SKYRIMLE Supplemented textures of the male shrouded armor (by SteelSnake12)
Shadriss replied to Frushtek's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'll be honest - I hadn't noticed this issue before, but then I rarely used that armor either. We sure this was an actual Skyrim texture issue and not some weird texture bug? If it's an actual thing, this may need to be sent directly to Core... -
ACCEPTED Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul (by kryptopyr)
Shadriss replied to darkside's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Just now back from a quick vacation - looks like I have an update to check. Will do tomorrow morning, and get back to you. EDIT: Seeing the same behavior as reported above, so looks like a solid fix. Thanks much, Krypt - as usual, top notch work. -
ACCEPTED Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul (by kryptopyr)
Shadriss replied to darkside's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Hey Krypt - I'll be out of town until Sunday night (local... PST), so won't be able to help with finding any solutions. But just so I make sure, the possibility of the waterskins hitting the formlist backwards - is that something that happened at my end somehow, and if so, how would I fix it and prevent it from happening again? -
ACCEPTED Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul (by kryptopyr)
Shadriss replied to darkside's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The waterskins themselves are acting as intended - it appears that CACO's interaction with them, and apparently with all water, seems to have a few issues. I'm sure Krypt is working on it.
