  1. One question about installing the mod and addon/patches for STEP extended: ForgesAddon must be instaled as a separate mod following the main embersHD. Ultimate HD Fire Effects compatibility patch can be merged with embers so I have just two entries in my laft ModOrganizer pane. Or can all three mods be merged into one? Thanks

  3. Have a question about the installation of this mod in STEP extended: What does the description: "STEP Extended Patch users can remove the plugin from this mod. All other files are required." When I'm using STEP extended Patch then I -> install the mod as usual through Mod Organizer, then double-click it the left pane, go to Optional ESPs and move the Realistig Ragdoll Force -Realistic.esp up from Available ESPs to Optional ESPs? -> I skip this Mod -> I open it in Explorer and delete the dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp. Sorry, it's late at night and I'm not a native speaker.

Hallo, I'm about to update my STEP installation from 2.2.9. to 2.2.9.2 As far I have updated all the tools but updating SKSE 1.07.1 to 1.07.3 scares my because there are no good informations on updating. I still have a MOD Organiser profile for STEP 2.2.9 running and want to keep it. It uses 1.07.1 and I guess several other mods are dependant on the scripts. Could somebody give me a short instruction I can follow on how to update SKSE without messing my old game, please? I have one SKSE 1.07.01 folder in my Mod Organizer directory including following folders. Scripts, SKSE (contains the SKSE.ini) and meta.ini. In my Skyrim folder there is the skse_1_9_32.dll, skse_loader.exe and skse_loader.dll The new SKSE 1.07.03 download file includes skse_1_9_32.dll, skse_loader.exe and skse_loader.dll but also other files like skse_steam_loader.dll. In the Data folder there is a Scripts Folder. I guess I could overwrite my old skse_1_9_32.dll, skse_loader.exe and skse_loader.dll files in my Skyrim folder with the new ones from SKSE 1.07.03 then overwrite the old Scripts folder in Mod Organizer with the one from SKSE 1.07.03, right?   6. I wanted to switch Horses in my next STEP build. Can it cause problems if I just replace Convenient Horses with Immersive Horses and use the Extended Patch? Thanks
  7. Pardon me, but why did You exclude it from Your setup? I'm trying to get STEP Extended to work with Requiem 1.9.3 and I'm unsure if Immersive Citizens can be used along with it as there are no Requiem patches for IC. Maybe I have do do the same as You did, so I can learn from Your experience...
  8. Greetings, so I'm back here as I'm starting a new playthrough with the latest STEP-version and the current Requiem 1.9.3. My present installation is very dated: STEPv2.2.9 with Requiem 1.7.3 + a few additions. It's still running well: I have spent over thousand hours in Skyrim with my Nord character. But unfortunately some things went not so fine: in the end I had to force-finish CWO via console (after I won the war I had to shut down CWO via menue because quests were not marked as finished). I also had an issue where I was troubleshooting Frostfall not the way mentioned by the author. I always save on a fresh slot and only have a few active quests but my save is 50MB. Scripts are running veeeeery slow now, it takes up to 10 sec to open the Convenient Horses horsebag inventory, or to unequip my shield and strap it on the back, sometimes the character forgets to equip his shield when drawing weapons. Guess before the game becomes truly unplayable I'll retire my Nord in dignity and start a new, different playthrough. This time I wanted to dismiss some script intensive mods like CWO/Convenient Horses (maybe I can run Immersive Horses in my STEP instalation instead?) but keep Frostfall as it's one of my favourite additions. It would be great if I could get some advice from You while I'm updating. The first thing to do is a new STEP 2.2.9.2 instalation. This should be no problem for me, I think. Yesteday I updated my GPR drivers and ENBoost. Guess I have to check if my tools are still up to date: MOD Organizer, LOOT, TESVEdit and Wrye Bash... As I use the tools via MODOrganizer, is there an easy way to update them via MODOrganizer? And can I switch from Convenient Horses to Immersive Horses in my new STEP extended installation? My new load order for Requiem will follow soon. Then I'll have some questions about patching. Thanks, BUBISHI

  13. Today I noticed that Anoriath a Bosmer in Whiterun is hostile to me and all NPCs. Found out this is corrected in the new version of the USKP. I still have 2.0.5 - the issue is addressed in 2.0.5a, latest version is 2.0.6. I would like to update but wanted to ask first how to do it with such an important patch. Is it just downlad, install and merge in MO when asked? Must I rerun LOOT, Dual Sheath Redux Patches or rebuild my Bashed Patch? Thanks.

  15. A conflict patch is of course a smarter solution than changing the load order but I'm still not confident enough with TES5Edit...
  16. This is also the cause in the change of perk descriptions and missing smithing books requirements I have noticed. If I move WAF before Requiem the problems are gone as far I can see.
  17. Just in case adding new seperate patches is a little bit to much messing with new .esps for me: in my LOOT load order WAF Remade comes almost after Requem ... Requiem.espWetandCold.espfFastTravelSpeedMult_4.espShootingStars.espSMDropLitTorch.espGuard Dialogue Overhaul.espWeapons & Armor Fixes_Remade.esp ... As the other mods inbetween don't change weapons could I do it quick&dirty by sorting W&AF_remade just before Requiem? I know this is not the way you recommend and it won't solve other conflicts, it's just a solution until I have learned how to create a superpatch that addresses all conflicts.
  18. fireundubh is working on a guide how to create your own patches for Requiem with TES5Edit. At least I belive he is a creating a guide and will publish it here in near future. I would appreciate it as it is a little tricky for beginners.
  19. I have noticed that without custom patching WAF overrides pretty much of Requiems smithing system and there is no need of smithing books anymore as they are overwritten. I'm not sure how to understand your post: in a STEPextended setup where I have WAF and CCO installed and the Requiem Dragonborn CCOR Patch I can deinstall WAF in an current game?
  20. Have seen Goophers the load order videos and have figured out how to interpret the conflicts TES5Edit shows. I have taken a closer look at the LOOT load order I posted earlier and examined the Requiem file: there are a few overwritten entries but I have found one I fully understand and tried to fix it. In perks the name and description of Requiems "War Axe Specialisation" has been overwritten by "Weapons and Armor Fixes_Remade" to "Hack&Slash". So I have chosen the Requiem column and right clicked "Copy as overwrite into" and created a new patch file. With this file activated ingame description of the perk is the one from Requiem again. Is this how patching works? In this case not only the name and description has been changed, some values as Condition/CTDA/comparison Value have been also reverted back to Requiem values. So I can't just pick some values from the overwritten .esp and let them "win", I must always restore all overwritten values, right? But my main question is: should I wait for a guide about patching and quit messing with TES5Edits functions or am I on a good way to understan this stuf?

  23. I like how the discussion developes here. Hope this leads to a consensus where the STEP forum can profit from the dialogue and shared knowledge. Count myself to the group Smile44 is talking about: to inexperianced and not much time to spent on learning programm languages. But I if I think back a month ago I had no idea about modding Skyrim, now I know a bit. And I'm still eager to learn, so whats next... superpatches for my load order... where is the guide ?

  25. Noticed there is even a 0.262 version for download now. Could someone verify how to update to the newest version correctly? I would save my old enblocal.ini then replace the three files with the new d3d9.dll, enbhost.exe and enblocal.ini. Then I would copy&paste the changes/customisations from my old enblocal.ini to the new one. Right?
