Hi, Sry, this is not really a bug, but don't know where to ask about... :/ Please forgive me! Mods Made Obsolete by Unofficial Patches Distant Decal Fix (https://www.nexusmods...rim/mods/31982/) - Mesh fixes. Uninstall them through your mod manager. Yes, it is true it has gone away from Nexus. (I mean Distant Decal Fix) I'd like to know some infos about it... Thank you!

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
kranazoli replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Hey, I don't I am alone with my issue? I haven't managed to find out, but sometimes I see purple (illuminating) textures(meshes) I don't know which one of them on a smelter. But mainly just if I am far from a smelter, it look like some kind of lod related issue. Fortunately or unfortunately it's happens rarely. But yes, it is mainly occur when I saw a smelter accidentally. Of course when I try to found one of them, I mean I try to search smelters it does not happen. :/ So, I haven't managed to make screenshot, which I guess would be very useful what my problem is. :/ I have reinstalled SMIM 1.74 and merged with the 1.78 update. After that I searched the word "smelter" in my MO mods folder. The only folder which contains smelter just SMIM + DynDOLOD (main folder) + STEP LOD Textures. At this moment I am making the whole DynDOLOD process again. I have no idea, what can cause issue like that. I use ETAC which place smelters to villages. But ETaC does not contains smelter files at all. I'd just like to know, everythins is all right with the smelter files at DynDOLOD? smeltermarker_lod_0.nifsmelter01lod.ddssmelter01lod_n.dds and after I run DynDOLOD Texgen, these two files will be created under "STEP LOD Textures" smelter01.ddssmelter01_1.dds If I ever manage to catch the moment I'll make and post screenshot(s). -
pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
kranazoli replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Hey TirigonX, Thank you for these detailed answer. I didn't know REGS version of Better Docks is already compatible with DG + DB. I just had a feeling if it is missing from the guide this is for reason and not I am the celever one. :) Yes, I found out that JK's Skyrim Riften patch does not required, because it was missing the JKs master file. :) And I also do not use, JKs Whiterun Exterior Compatible of Better City Entrances file as well. But in the description it says it also fixes Touring Carrigies doesn't work at Windhelm? If I am not mistaken. I use Touring Carrigies + Better City Entances All in One version, but I didn't notice any issue at Windhelm. Touring Carrigies mod works just fine. Thank you! -
pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
kranazoli replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Hey hishutup, Thank you for the answer. 3.) Better Docks - REGS Compatible Ok, I see. But I have another question about Better Docks: There is something I do not really understand: Can I use these two optional together? ( I use REGS) Better Docks - REGS Compatible Version This version of Better Docks is tailored for use with the pack called "A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim" but can also be used standalone as an all-in-one version without Dawnstar. Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC - Compatible Version Use this only if you have both DG and DB DLC Installed while using Better Docks modular (you dont need the original WindhelmBetterDocks.esp if using the Modular version). Note: If you only have Dawnguard installed you dont need any patch because Better Docks is compatible with it. Ok, so I use REGS, I use Better Dock REGS version. That's clear. But also I have both DG+DB but do not use the manual version of Better Docks? Do I need these second optional? Can I use it? (together) "1. Dawn Of Skyrim instead of --> JK You can but I dont think you can use some patches that are offered and if you want a patch then you'll have to make your own." What do you mean exactly? Which patch? What kind of patch? Cloud you give some more infos? Thanks! -

Hey DoubleYou, "b30GrassVS toggles shader 3.0 filters on grass vertex shader??? It might not do anything." I had a feeling something like that, because tried to find infos via Google, but nothing exact. Not in STEP, nor in Legendary, just some forum, topic, but nothing sure. "iGrassCellRadius=2" I guess in this case this one, could be the default value just not set manually. Thank you for the infos! Hi, What grass clipper fix is? I have never heared about it... -
ACCEPTED Verdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin (by Preeum)
kranazoli replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Hi Guys or Girls, :) Now, I'm trying Verdant. It looks good and I do not really experience any performance issue. But, could anyone what are these for? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60220/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D60220%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D2310764&pUp=1 From the sticky notes section. The mod author says: MY PERSONAL INI SETTINGS Skyrim.ini: [Grass] iGrassCellRadius=2 bAllowCreateGrass=1 bAllowLoadGrass=0 bGrassPointLighting=1 b30GrassVS=0 iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=15 iMinGrassSize=70 Skyrimprefs.ini [Grass] b30GrassVS=0 fGrassStartFadeDistance=9000.0000 fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=9000.0000 fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=400.0000 Mainly, the two setting I highlighted. Does anyone know, what they are actually do, chainging, are they good, or not? Thanks! -
I guess, this one was for me. If yes, thanks! Big thanks! I have managed to do.
-
Not really. My problem is, if you use REGS and install ETAC patches, it has: ETaC - Complete ELE Patch.esp and that one require ELE_Legendary_Fs_Wt_Lite.esp as a master file. So, I can't rename as you mentioned. Never mind... What I would like if STEP Extened Patch would require ELE_Legendary_Fs_Wt_Lite.esp file. As if we would use Fs + Wt in STEP Extended.

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
kranazoli replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Hi Sheson, With the author of Immersive Laundry we have managed to find out what was the problem. The guilty one in that case is RRR. (Perseids Inns and Taverns - Realistic Room Rental Enhanced) This is, how it looks and behave without RRR. ATM, I don't know, what sould I do, because I like both mods. Immersive Laundry adds a nice touch, and immersion to Tamriel, but RRR sadly used in REGS and Legendary version as well. And also a great mod. So, I am thinking, how to continue my Skyrim modding... Just wanted to give a short feedback, and thanks your kindness. :) Now, I can't do others just: - Choose between this two mod, - or live together with some issue. :) -

Thanks Sheson! Don't know which two of my mods cause this bug, but I can live with it. I will try to investigate deeper that issue later. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
kranazoli replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
I am not playing, just testing my mod setup. Sorry, but what coc Whiterun mean? :/ I use LAL and started a "new game" in Ivarstead, and now just testing, mainly, how stable my mods are. The main line STEP Extended + REGS + some other mod from Legendary and some from just myself. "What mod adds the second farmhouse in the 3rd picture to the lower right?" To tell you truth, also I have no idea. But, could be I guess Expanded Towns and Cities, or Nernie's City and Village Expansion? Or I'm sure something from REGS or Legendary. They have some towns, cities mods. -

Yes. I use Immersive Laundry, and I had issue with these yet. Also signed the mod other: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58084/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D58084%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D2101034&pUp=1 I guess, maybe RRR + Immersive Laundry, but atm I have no other idea. The mod author said, he will look out it. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
kranazoli replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
I am still just preparing my Skyrim setup and again run into an bug. Which could be also related to DynDOLOD, but I'm not sure. If not DynDOLOD than could be something with Perseids Inns and Taverns - Realistic Room Rental Enhanced, or LOOT order. These are the buggy screens. Missing meshes, textures, object, but mainly in the distance. Location: But in last picture as you can see, missing the Inn right in front of my character. If anyone could help me, please and Thanks! -

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
kranazoli replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Hi, Is it just for me, or is it normal? I found Solitude LOD a little bit strange. Tried Medium and High settings, as well. -
Hi, I have a question to resolve the following: I use STEP Extended as a main line. Now, I'm gathering other mods from REGS, and so on... Beside ELE_Legendary_Lite I use Falskaar + Wyrmstooth, as well. If I try to use the merged one from RW Legendary + Fs + Wt and do not use (select) the Legendary one, I got an missing Master file issue in LOOT, because STEP Extended Patch require ELE_Legendary_Lite. But, my problem is not just that using one merged mod instead of two (Legendary and Fs+Wt) but for instance there's: I use ETAC and ETAC Patches from REGS. There is an ELE patch which would be the most suitable for me: ELE Legendary + Fs + Wt from ETAC patches. But I can't choose it, because in this case I got the missing ELE Master file error. For this patch jut ELE Legendary not enough. So, the most suitable solution for me would be if my STEP Extended Patch should require, use ELE Legendary + Fs + Wt merged patch. How can I change them, if it is possible. And at this moment I'm not remember but there's an other very similar mod, or patch or something like that... I hope I was clear. 1.) I'm not sure wheter ELE Legendary not enough? (I mean from ETAC ELE patches I must skip Fs + Wt) 2.) And how can I change in STEP Extended Patch the ELE Legendary Master file for the merged one. If it would be the right choice? Sry, these are two complicated for me, I just someone understand what I tried to explain above. Summary and shorten: As if we would use for the first "step" Falskaar and Wyrmstooth in STEP, I guess in this case we would use the merged ELE version (and the other one maybe RW2) and STEP Extended Patch would require these ELE .esp as a Master file. :) Really thanks any support!

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
kranazoli replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Thank you Angel and Sheson, Okay, they looked new to me. :) But as I said, you are the masters. I believe both of you! Pressing SHIFT + OK is not enough? As I remember you said before that pressing SHIFT + OK for loading mods without unnecessary scripts, or something like that. (?) Now, I have another question. I am still gathering mods, trying them out, check how stable my mod list and so on. I really like that Bird mod. What is the main problem with it? "Birds and Flocks - Both versions - Rating: Two (2) This warning applies to both Birds and Flocks vanilla and Birds and Flocks Hearthfires Version This mod uses a vanilla script to increase the frequency of already in game features, however the way it applies this effect is unstable and problematic, especially given that it relies on one of the buggier vanilla scripts which can cause issues in your game. While the mod claims to be Hearthfires compatible it does not carry over a few key edits that Hearthfires makes to the world space and other things, and the 'cleaned' version is still riddled with unnecessary edits. Some of the scripting problems with this mod do get fixed by having SkyBirds installed, however SkyBirds you can find listed above, as such I do not consider installing another buggy mod a fix for this buggy mod, and it has landed itself a place here. There is no direct replacement for this mod." It has caused CTDs, or ILS or what? I'm sure you are right, and those lines above, and so on... What do you suggets for a new gameplay? Should I remove, drop this mod? If yes, should I run all the patches again? Generate new Wrye Bash, Dual Sheath Redux, FNIS, and DynDOLOD as well? To tell Ãou the truth, I am really sorry for that mod. Damn it! :/ "Good old stuff"... Thanks! PS: I am sorry Sheson about that little off topic thing in this thread. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
kranazoli replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Warning? Always? I don't think so. In STEP Guide the patches sequence is: STEP (for instance Extended) Wrye Bash Dual Sheat Redux FNIS DynDOLOD I've done it several times, and never ever noticed this warning. I don't mind, and I'm sure this is, how it should work, but it wasn't always there. I use BirdsHFclean.esp because it is used in STEP and I trust those guys, but of course and you as well. But these two stuff looks new for me, but I keep this mod, yet in my load order. ;) And also thank you for the site, you mentioned. I didn't know that. Checked the mods, and fortunately I do not use any of them, just that BirdsHFclean.esp from STEP. I would be very curious, how others think about that mod? Really! -

Hi, What are these new stuff? "[00:00:00.002] Ignoring Bashed Patch, 0.esp. Please remove from load order if generating LOD does not complete successfully! [00:00:00.049] !!! Found BirdsHFclean.esp. Please remove from load order !!!" Till now, it didn't matter. I don't mind if everything will be fine, just I do not understand. That's all. Thanks! -
Hi, I read about ExpandSystemMomery about in STEP forums and put the question about the latest enb series forum: TES Skyrim 0.279 https://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4476 "And what about these statement? ExpandSystemMemoryX64 Warning:It has been reported that this feature can conflict with "Sheson's Memory Patch 3.0" (now included with SKSE) by causing Skyrim to crash if the memory patch fix is used to increase Skyrim's initial heap allocation (Block 1 or DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB in skse.ini) higher than 512MB (or 768MB for some). Therefore, if using the Sheson Memory Patch fix (either standalone or with SKSE), it is recommended to set ExpandSystemMemoryX64 to false. source: STEP EnbGuide Thanks!" And got these answers: "ExpandSystemMemoryX64 is very specific thing which do not produce any bugs itself, but the reason of game or mods bugs to appear if they are exist. Kinda same thing happen with 4gb laa patch for oblivion, fallout and old skyrim. There are three levels of same mistake which leads to incompatibility. First one is for 32 bit applications with 2gb memory limit per process, like WinXP and older OS. Second level is 4gb native limit of 32 bit applications and it's the case of ExpandSystemMemoryX64 or 4gb LAA patches. Third is x64 memory ranges and they are not the case of skyrim, because only developers may recompile the same code and bugs will occur, if exists. And the bug itself is when code contains arithmetic operations of memory addresses which may return wrong values if address range is above 2 gb (and 4 gb for x64 version). ExpandSystemMemoryX64 primary goal is to fix memory fragmentation issues which is very problematic thing in almost all games, fragmented memory reduce amount of really available free memory. The best use of this parameter is on vista and higher os. On xp it works too, but have very minor effect." From Boris And something like that: I used ENBoost along with the SKSE Memory Fix and DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 for 100s of hours and I never had any problem. Super stable, no ILS, no CTD. PS: Windows says, my Total VRAM is: 7919 Moris VRAM Size Tool says it is: 11904 Which one I use - 170? (I use Win7 x64)

CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
kranazoli replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Got some answer at enbdev.com about ExpandSystemMemorxy: "Use whichever works better for your system. I have zero problems with ExpandSystemMemoryX64 and SKSE Memory Patch. What that parameter does is change the place in memory where data is allocated first ("top" or "bottom"). I would say leave it set to true if your Memory patch setting is left at 512 or 768 unless you experience problems. If you experience problems, set it to false. STEP does some good research but when it comes to these things they have a very small pool of data to pull from (a few users tests) and so you always have to see what works on your system because it varies greatly." from Boris: "kranazoli ExpandSystemMemoryX64 is very specific thing which do not produce any bugs itself, but the reason of game or mods bugs to appear if they are exist. Hi, After a long time I'm going to start a new gameplay. I have set enblocal.ini like this: [MEMORY] ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true DisableDriverMemoryManager=false DisablePreloadToVRAM=false EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false ReservedMemorySizeMb=768 VideoMemorySizeMb=3968 EnableCompression=true AutodetectVideoMemorySize=false My rig is: ASUS P8P67 Rev 3 | Intel Core i5 2500K | G.Skill Sniper 16GB XMP DDR3 1600Mhz | MSI GTX 980 GAMING 4G | Kingston 96GB V+ SSD | Enermax MODU82+ 625W | Samsung 2333sw FullHD 23"| Windows 7 Prof SP1 x86&x64 | Are those settings right? Or could anyone suggets a better settings? What I want is to avoid CTDs abd ILS and other stuff as far as possible? If this topic is not the right one, please someone sugget me the correct one. Thanks!
