  1. what browser?Firefox 18... I've been having some issues with this version though.Same here. Losing your post after submitting is quite interesting. I've never experienced that. Not sure how I could attempt to duplicate it to try and find the culprit. Did you use "New Reply" or "Quick Reply" when this happened? I used the Quote button to replay. Typed in my text afterwards. Then clicked Post Reply. It only happens once in a blue moon.
  2. I'd like to share this article with everyone that is from the latest issue of Game Informer: WARNING! SPOILER ALERT! Do not continue reading if you care about spoilers!
  3. I turned off a little while ago because it was not working for me.Myself and Neo, have both reported it not working for us. @Z, How ironic...LOL @S4N It did the posting with the missing text again... I didn't hit backspace or tab. I didn't copy anything. Just typed and hit post and BAM....no typed text. what browser?Firefox 18... I've been having some issues with this version though.
  4. Who is Mtichenor? IndigoNeko?I'm assuming it's the same person from the context of his posts and that he's the only one with the magic blue outline around his posts. EDIT: It's the same person. IndigoNeko's profile link sends you to MTichenor's profile page.
  5. You're correct. The ENB authors will have to update their mods for the new detection methods or the lighting will be all off. I don't recommend using the new versions until the authors do their part. The only one I know that has been is Phinix Natural. SkyRealism's author claims he's waiting for a more stable and performance ready release but I think it's high time to move on to a newer version. A ton of ENBs are still using .119 because of it's stability and performance.
  6. I've also noticed that when copying and pasting pre-formatted from an outside source (say Nexus) into the wysiwyg editor, it places the cursor at the beginning of the pasted line instead of at the end. To simply replicate this, go to Nexus, copy a mod title from its page (the bigger and bold text), and then paste it into the editor. It also at times pastes it at the top of the editor as Farlo described instead of on the line where you said to paste it. This is using Firefox.
  7. I would like to personally thank all the authors who post either on their main page or in the file description the texture resolutions that the mod/version uses. This saves modders a lot of time when trying to figure out the right version to install for their systems; as "Low", "Med", "High", and "Ultra" are not very intuitive to the actual texture sizes and causes modders to download all available versions to compare texture sizes. XXX Low (1024) and XXX High (2048) is much more helpful. So, thank you authors! If any author reads this that has not documented the actual texture resolutions, it would be most appreciated if you added this small but significant information about your mods on your pages. :D
  8. Can you provide some screenshots of the missing textures? This will tell use exactly where the textures came from. These problems can persist when reloading a save in-game (when I die), but will always go away after exiting or quitting to the main menu. It sounds at though there are conflicts somewhere. Where, though, is the question. Many of the mods have been updated since 2.2.0a, so it wouldn't be a surprise if a mod has made new conflicts that wasn't present when that version of the guide was released. You have the INI settings correct for the ENB and RCRN as well?
  9. This mod may need to be compared to Re-Defined Dungeons if any of those textures overlap. I don't have my WB setup or I'd check.
  10. Gettin me worried. :P All is good.
  11. I was just going to say the only mod it would be is Deadly Spell Impacts. :P Nexus has been having a lot of issue with corrupted files lately. I still haven't been able to download SMIM without it being corrupted.
  12. The link for "recommended settings" takes you to the wiki and the other links contain no information about program settings. I used the settings on the wiki because I thought you already had or were going to update that information.
  13. I used this and I've never have any issues. I turn off tracking while moving and tracking on corpses.

  15. Sounds like you're just the type to fit in around here! We're all a bit crazy at times and even get a little overly passionate, but only good things come from it. Glad to have you on board!
  16. Thanks! That means it's either my ISP or Nexus...no surprises there.
  17. Has anyone been able to download 1.29? Every time I try (3 time now) I get a corrupt file that will not extract. Trying to figure out if this is my internet (which has been buggy today), Nexus, or the file itself.
  18. The screenshots look great. My only issue in any of them is the water in the river looks a little dark. The only time that's an issue though, is when it's at rapids. Then the dark water and the light rapids textures clash with a hard contrast. Other than that the game looks great!
  19. Yes, IMO, and that entire section you linked should be expanded upon before the almighty gates are opened on the Wiki to the public. The intent is to open the Wiki up to all forum members eventually (sometime soon after the next STEP release probably). Meaning all registered forum members will also have basic wiki editing privileges. The the Wiki Editors will be a step up from the normal members and, of course, the Admins will be setting at the top. So the more information in that section the better. I'll add it to the Wiki Editors to-do list. (Though it seems I'm the only Editor actually editing the last few months... )
  20. My bad. My mind was saying STEP Installation Guide = SIG. Thank for the highlight color.
  21. I would say that EDT (assuming that's the bottom half) looks more "mowed", "trimmed", and "groomed"; whereas, HDET looks more "wild" and "grown". EDIT: In the videos, the difference is quite amazing.
  22. If the mod is separated by location or could be (i haven't downloaded it or I'd check the file structure), then it would be rather easy to make a BCF or batch file to only use this mod in specific locations where the lack of vegetation wouldn't make too much of a difference. This probably wouldn't be for this upcoming release. I've already almost completed a batch file that will combine all the mods in the Conflicting Graphics section. I've stopped work on it until the authors die down on their updates a bit. Specifically SMIM.
  23. Not sure which colored markers mod you're using. STEP will be using this one in the next release. Try it out and see if you still have the same issue: https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26822
  24. Thanks, but lighting mods have no barring here. There are separate guides on the wiki for ENB and lighting mods. The Lighting Guide addresses (or will eventually) combining the two. As for your recommendations: The Wilds is too over saturated and hazy as are Seasons of Skyrim, as JJay pointed out, and Project Matso. I'll have to check out Phinix Natural's warm option and check with my testing results for Quietcool. For the recommendations, I'm really looking for something that follows STEP in staying close to vanilla but "naturally" enhancing it. Nothing overly saturated, hazy, bleak, b&w, film-like, etc. SkyRealism works best when it comes to that, but some people might prefer a larger difference, which is why I recommend checking out a few other ENBs. And yes, lighting mods matter a lot when it comes to choosing the right ENB. One config will never look the same with CoT, RCRN and RLWC. Until STEP chooses their leading lighting mod, I can't firmly recommend any ENB other than SkyRealism, which just blends in well in the game and adds the extra effects, but the performance hit can be significant and ENB should not be recommended to players running the lite version of STEP. Thanks. This is exactly way I recommend SkyRealism so much and have put "(highly recommended)" next to it in the Guide. During my testing of ENBs, True Vision ENB with the Natural preset came in a very close second. I have yet to find a good third option that follows the STEP values. I plan to work on the Lighting Guide and provide a link to it in the ENB Guide whenever I get it set up for proper comparison and information when combining and ENB with a lighting mod.
  25. You can turn off the cinematic black bars if you don't like them or they cause issues. I've turned them off myself. Open your enbeffect.fx file in a text editor such as Notepad or Notepad++. Find the line towards the top of the file: #define ENABLE_VIGNETTE Add a dounle slash in front of it (this comments the line out and disables the black cinematic bars): // #define ENABLE_VIGNETTE Save the file.
