1. Awesome! Thanks!
2. I've come up with a couple quick suggestions after reading through all the magic edits: Magic regenerates 50% faster while in combat (this offsets mage-only characters lack of a weapon which would use stamina)Armor doesn't increase spell costs (this is to balance the vulnerability of mage-only characters as any character playing the game without armor is almost guaranteed a death sentence at higher levels. So mages shouldn't be penalized for wearing armor. I personally never understood the logic behind this penalty with mages...magic requires no more (maybe less) movement than welding a weapon.)
3. I bad... I forgot to check the link. JudgmentJay is right. You are NOT going to replicate those screenshots and still have the game to be playable with the current generation of cards. Those shots look amazing but that author did those shots more as artwork rather than saying "you can play Skyrim with it looking this good". If you'll read like JudgmentJay said, the author was only getting 5-15FPS in most all those shots with a very powerful system. If you really want to replicate that with playable framerates, you're going to need a quad-everything system. In sense, a powerful server with powerful graphical capabilities.
4. Same as what the others have said here. When it comes to video cards for Skyrim, it's really more about VRAM and screen resolution. 2GB of VRAM is going to get you playing just about anything you want; however, I'll disagree with Rootsrat. I have heard of Skyrim using up the entire 2GB before. It all depends on the textures and the resolution of the textures you're using: 1024x1024 resolution textures are going to take up far less VRAM than 4096x4096 resolution textures. For what you're wanting to do, I'd say no less than 2GB VRAM, but would consider getting up to 4GB. SLI doesn't matter too much for Skyrim unless you're wanting to run at really high screen resolutions. I'd like to point out though, that CPU is just as important for Skyrim as a good video card. Skyrim is very CPU heavy and would recommend at least an Intel Core i5 for what you are wanting to do. I would HIGHLY recommend you checking out our Hardware Guide. I recently rewrote the entire guide so it's nice and up-to-date.
5. I'm not good with TES5Edit or the CK to check with out mod compatibility. So, if I may could I ask you a favor, Mysty? Could you tell me if you mod would conflict with IndigoNeko's SkyRealism -Balanced Perk Trees mod? If so, are there issues that would break either or both mods if installed together? What I'm wanting to do is this.... Balanced Perk Trees adds more balancing than just magic. He included all the perk trees so I would very much like to use it. However, your Balanced Magic mod I have used for some time now and would like to continue using it. I think it's a bit more evolved considering you focus strictly on the magic and it's been around longer. However, I'm concerned if I load your mod after Balanced Perk Trees there will be some conflicts. You mod would obviously overwrite his seamlessly with no issues in a perfect world; however, I doubt this is the case.
6. Found it... This is a bug caused my Commute if you have it installed. https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=1113&pid=17897#pid17897
7. I updated my post... see above!
8. I do remember reading about this error and what caused it not to long ago, but after some searching I can't, for the life of me, remember it or find it. Obviously, this isn't an error caused by a normal STEP installation. Start by disabling any non-STEP mods and see the the issue remains. Also, be sure you're using 2.2.0a as it is the newest stable release. STEP 2.2.1 has yet to even go into the testing phase as we're still ironing out some possible conflicts and other things.
9. This was my concern as well when I said, "it might be too detailed".
10. Discussion thread: Nightingale Prime by AncientVampire Wiki Link I had seen this a while back then found out is was no long available. AncientVampire received permission to re-upload this HD retexture from it's original author. It's 100% vanilla retexture from what I can tell. Just higher resolution to match some of the other armor sets. The only issue I could foresee is that it might be too detailed...similar to the rock textures a while back. Check it out! I like it!
11. Happy New Year to all the Steppers! :? *looks around* I don't think I've ever seen the forums so barren... Everyone must be having fun! :D
12. I don't want to listen to the old version. I want to listen to the current version being offered! :P
13. Why do authors insist on offering sound mods, but no other way to preview it besides downloading and installing?
14. I just completed a walk-through of the guide. It's not as hard as it was the first time I read through it. Here are a few suggestions: The comment I made above.Include screenshots of the step-by-step process. One screen per step.On the "Extracting the Vanilla Textures" instructions you say to tick [Don't process any of the know file types]. On the next tab and next set of instructions, you say to tick this again in step 6. This leads me to believe somewhere in-between these steps, for someone working straight through the guide, this setting should be unticked; however, there is no instruction to do so. I untick it at the beginning of the optimization tab before proceeding because I double checked the configuration screenshots and this was not ticked. If it should not remained ticked throughout the entire process, a step needs to be added to untick it.All your stuff from the Guide's OP needs to be added to the guide. I didn't even see it till I had already ran through the guide.
15. how do I do this spoiler tag thing and where should I use it? I had trouble just getting the text formatting readable...
text text text
16. I think he missed your note about the spoiler tags....
17. Using DDSopt tab... DDSopt Configuration... The configuration screens should note that you already have a file opened in the screenshots. I open DDSopt to check against the screens and immediately I was confused as to why all the option were not present. Then I seen the shots were taken with a file loaded.
18. This conflicts with IndigoNeko's Balanced Perk Trees as they both change the same values for magics.
19. Bump! I've been using this and love it. Adds immersion and realism. No issues, no problems. I disable headtracking of corpses and headtracking while moving.

21. I used the default theme. I was using a Chrome-based theme until it broke with one of the updates. FF release schedule makes things a bit harder for add-on authors to keep up.
